No Playboy For TNA Knockout Traci Brooks

Posted by Mason Landis On September - 2 - 2009
Due to a change of plans, Tracy Brookshaw (professionally known as "Traci Brooks" of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling fame), will not be gracing the pages of Playboy after all, let alone the cover of the magazine as previously planned. Instead, her nude pictorial will be released online on Playboy's Cyber Club website on September 17. Playboy had chosen to pull Brooks from her scheduled appearance in the magazine in favor of a tribute to the late Farrah Fawcett, who passed away this past June. Had things gone as scheduled, Brooks would have been the first TNA Knockout ever to be on the cover and pages of Playboy. Brooks ...

Will Rey Mysterio And The WWE Soon Part Ways?

Posted by Joe Burgett On September - 2 - 2009
Rey Mysterio, as many know, violated the WWE Wellness Policy. The WWE was not happy he violated it of course, and for many reasons. Number one being that he is the current Intercontinental Champion, and number two, he is a huge draw to the Hispanic crowd and an idol for many children. His merchandise continuously stays near the top of all sold. Should I stop now? I think I will. Before all of this, the WWE and Mysterio were already at odds. He has been clamouring for a new contract with more money. The issue with all of this was that he signed a ...

Can John Cena Save Batista’s Career?

Posted by Svyato Rovenchuk On September - 2 - 2009
John Cena is definitely the most overrated superstar in the WWE. Likewise, Batista is definitely the second most overrated superstar in the WWE. If both rest under the same title, then why is a Batista vs Cena feud a good one for the WWE? I'm sure a lot of us remember how good the SummerSlam encounter between these two was. I'm sure they can do it again too. What would make this feud really good though is finally seeing Dave Batista as a heel! As a face, he is as stale as any wrestler in the WWE. As a heel, he's got some potential. ...

Spotlighting the Indies: Mariko Yoshida, One of the Greats

Posted by Christi Lott On September - 2 - 2009
I'm really glad everyone enjoyed reading about Faby Apache and enjoyed the YouTube videos that went along with it. Today is the day that I finally cover someone I've mentioned on many occasions. To me, she is without a doubt, one of the greatest wrestlers to have ever stepped foot in a ring, and is rightfully considered one of the best wrestlers, male or female. Her name is Mariko Yoshida. The first time I ever heard of Mariko Yoshida is thanks to my friend Kim, a foreign exchange student from Japan who lives with my neighbors. She asked me if I liked wrestling and if I ...

ROH Rewind: Wolves, Players and a Little Bit of Boom!

Posted by Hayley-L Graham On September - 1 - 2009
After two excellent main events in a row, would we finally get a triple? Is there a chance to see Colt Cabana actually get a win? Could ROH put on a better show than RAW? Brilliant questions, but will they get answered?   Mike Hogewood and Dave Prazak introduced the show, before starting to hype up both the eight-man elimination tag match and the fact that one of the competitors for the Embassy is none other than Prince Nana! They questioned whether or not a manager would be able to compete at a top level.   Sonjay Dutt vs. Delirious As Dutt came down to ...

I’m Just Saying: The WWE Creative Team Is Now at a “Cross-Roads”

Posted by Joe Burgett On September - 1 - 2009
First off, I'd like to say that I was very excited about the ending of WWE RAW. People have been giving flack to the WWE's creative and writing team for giving us crappy storylines for the last few months, but many will have to say RAW improved last night. I was watching the beginning of RAW and when the guest host Dusty Rhodes said his son Cody was going to face WWE Champion Randy Orton for the title later that night, I was kind of thinking this was going to be a replay from a previous RAW where "The Million Dollar ...

TNA’s Dixie Carter: A Closer Look

Posted by Jesse Mitchell On September - 1 - 2009
Well, exclusive to me and to Bleacher Report. Hold on, I'll explain. The Baltimore Sun's Kevin Eck scored the most coveted interview in Sports Entertainment with Miss Dixie Carter the day after her first TV appearance on Impact. He has agreed to allow me to highlight parts of the interview for an article here, exclusive to Bleacher's own. Kevin writes an awesome wrestling blog, in addition to his job as a full-time journalist. He actually gets paid to do this, and loves it as much as anyone. I will give you a link to his stuff at the end. So what is Dixie's role ...
