WWE Bragging Rights: A Babyface Turn for Beth Phoenix?

Posted by Melony Adams On October - 22 - 2009
This Sunday is the WWE's newest PPV, Bragging Rights, and while the theme of the show is Smackdown vs Raw, I'm more than sure that this Sunday will bring out new feuds. From the 7-on-7 official Smackdown vs. Raw tag team match, to the Intercontinental champion vs U.S. champion match, and to one of my favorites, the six divas tag team match. First off the entire PPV looks really good. However, knowing that Michelle McCool and Beth Phoenix are set to tag in battle with the amazing Natalya against Raw's Melina, Gail, and Kelly, I'm more than sure that the Smackdown ...

John Cena Goes to ECW (Part 2) – Humor

Posted by Mike Salvatore On October - 21 - 2009
William Regal opens tonight’s ECW and he is not happy. He is voicing his displeasure about John Cena’s atomic wedgie submission hold, and telling everyone who will listen that it is not a legal hold.   He continues to say that because the hold is illegal, he should be named the No. 1 contender for the ECW championship. For a man who hasn’t won a match since sometime in the early summer, he makes a good case.   Then Tiffany’s music hits….   As she walks to the ring we get a glance at Matt Striker and Josh Matthews at the announce table. Striker is busy ...

Why Didn’t Ted DiBiase Fight Orton on Monday Night Raw?

Posted by lee raydean On October - 21 - 2009
Well wrestling fans Raw was a hit again this week. This week's celebrity host was the Sizzler himself, Snoop Dog. He was rappin', dancin', and making some smoking matches. One in particular was Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase. Before their match had started, Orton warned Ted that if he wrestled him, Ted would regret it for the rest of his life. Orton didn't want to be disrespected or humiliated and it would be possible for this to happen. How? Let me answer that little question for you. Last week, DiBiase had pinned Orton in a tag team match that featured Orton and ...
According to Nigel McGuinness himself yesterday, he decided to go to TNA instead of the WWE because it took too long for him to get a contract. However, this is a lie. He actually failed a certain WWE test. It should be noted that McGuinness didn't fail a drug test, it was said to be medically related. See, McGuinness does have a history of injuries, and he just came back from two bicep injuries that he was sidelined months for. He is said to be better now, but apparently not well enough to pass the WWE's prescreening test. The reason TNA signed ...
In a very surprising development, former ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness has signed with TNA Wrestling. This according to prowrestling.net. ROH sent out a press release a little while back that said McGuinness agreed in principle to sign with World Wrestling Entertainment. However, Nigel came out a few days later and said he didn't sign anything as of yet. He claimed that he met with WWE officials, and they asked him about coming in. McGuinness agreed that he would come in, but since nothing was signed that day, he was a free man. His ROH contract expired also, and when he ...
As much as I would love to be positive toward TNA, especially after one of the better wrestling PPVs of the year in Bound for Glory last night, I just can't let TNA Wrestling slide on this. As we all know, not everyone who works for TNA or the WWE in fact, wrestle every single TV show and house show. John Cena takes a break from time to time, so does Triple H and Shawn Michaels. In TNA, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, and countless others take breaks too. And of course it is okay if you don't wrestle on a given night ...

Bound For Glory Over, But Turning Point To Come: What’s Next For TNA?

Posted by Hayley-L Graham On October - 19 - 2009
Bound for Glory 2009 is over and done with, and the eyes of TNAs fans are firmly locked onto Turning Point, the next feast of delights on offer from the promotion. Despite what criticisms people have towards the booker's, writers, or management, there is no denying that Bound for Glory was a small, tentative step in the right direction for TNA. With an incredibly strong showing from the X Division, as well as good matches featuring the Tag Teams, both male and female, it's no surprise that there is a high level of anticipation surrounding all people involved. However, where does Bound ...

Endless Love: Seven Wrestlng Couples From The 1980-90s

Posted by Hurricane Hubbard On October - 19 - 2009
Throughout the decade, we've had couples who've come and gone. Some good and some not so much. One of my favorite couples from this era, like Edge and Lita, provided an abundance of "entertainment", and were the butt of many superstars jokes(especially John Cena). But recently there has been a shortage of successful couples in the business. I'm here to showcase seven tandems who made "magic" together in the 80's and the 90's. (This is not in any particular order.)Begin Slideshow

Ranking the Giants of Professional Wrestling

Posted by FRANK On October - 18 - 2009
Here's a tribute to the big, large and gigantic men of wrestling. Dating back to the 1950s, gargantuan men were booked to be an attraction as if they worked for the circus. They normally didn't hold titles, yet they were difficult to defeat. Most of their success were due to intimidating their foes with their size (normally 6'5'' and weighing over 400lbs) and strength. Vince McMahon saw these big men as the perfect foe to challenge and push Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Title. These matches help to establish Hogan and his title reign as legendary.Begin Slideshow
