To those that know him personally, he is David Edward Finlay Jr. David was born January 31, 1958 in Belfast Northern Ireland.  Finlay's first match was in 1974 when another wrestler no-showed his father's promotion. For quite a while the talk on the independent wrestling scene revolved around a few men. Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, and Chris Hero. All of them except one have moved on to either the WWE or TNA. This ranking is a follow-up to the tag team series that was written in October, which was a pleasure to write and fun to go down memory lane.  Similar to the tag team series, I will list and provide career summary of the top wrestlers in the order which Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) ranked them in 2003. The wrestlers ranked fought during the existence of this fine publication. Ever since coming to the WWE Evan Bourne, known to some as Matt Sydal, has electrified audiences with his high flying moves and positive attitude towards the sport.
