An Open Letter To Those Who Hate Pro Wrestling
On November - 10 - 2009
Lately it seems that any article I read that has a significant amount of comments, there is a trend, there is always someone on the comment board stating that "Wrestling is fake and stupid."
I have a question for these people, do you actually think that we believe that the WWE and other pro wrestling is not planned in advance? Of course we know the outcome is predetermined and that they are not really trying to hurt each other. No one has thought wrestling was real since Vince broke the fourth wall and started calling it Sports Entertainment.
That's not ...
Why Batista’s Heel Turn Could Really Hurt Friday Night SmackDown
On November - 10 - 2009
After watching Bragging Rights , I, like others, thought that we were just seeing Batista get ticked off after not winning the World Heavyweight Title and hurt Rey Rey out of anger.
But when SmackDown rolled around, he seemed to be a totally different character. He now looks like a heel, and that was the dumbest move the WWE could make at this point.
He was brought to help the face side of things, not the heel side.
Think of this, there are many main-event caliber heels there already.
You have CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Chris Jericho, and you could consider Big ...
Gimmick PPVs: Vince’s Golden Goose
On November - 10 - 2009
Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Hell in a Cell, Tables Ladders & Chairs...Make no mistake, WWE has some of the most lucrative gimmick matches in the business. They are matches that whet the appetite and sell PPVs.
With a bloated PPV calendar, WWE have attempted to freshen things up by giving a gimmick theme for each event. But in doing so, is Vince in danger of killing his golden goose?
With TLC scheduled for Dec. 13, this is a PPV that highlights the problem. We all love a TLC match now and again, but the prospect of having three in one night is ...

On November - 10 - 2009
The legendary wrestler Maurice Vachon nicknamed ''Mad Dog'', today at 80 years old, is now a part of Quebec's Sport Hall of Fame. Born in Ville-Emard, Quebec, on Sep. 1 1929, Maurice Vachon had a very successful amateur wrestling career. At the 1948 London Olympic Games, Vachon finished in seventh place. Two years later, he won a gold medal at the 1950 British Empire Games, now known as the Commonwealth Games. Vachon had an impressive stature. A strong, massive man with a mad look in the eyes. He was able to defend himself as he had to shrug ...
Austin 3:16 Says TNA Poised To Whoop the WWE’s Ass
On November - 10 - 2009
Good morning wrestling fans, and boy have I got a possible scoop for you.
I'm sure you are all now aware that Hulk Hogan has signed with Total Non-stop Action Wrestling , no news there.
However, this past week Hogan was on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio program. As being reported on the Wrestling Wrap-Up over at IGN.com, Hogan hinted that the Macho Man Randy Savage, as well as Stone Cold Steve Austin, have also signed with TNA.
Now what IGN's Matt Flowers means by hinted, I'm not sure he didn't quote anyone, he simply used the word "hinted" so take that ...
Breaking News: Big Update on Kurt Angle’s Court Case
On November - 9 - 2009
The following comes from The Pittsburgh Channel.com:
Olympic gold medalist and TNA pro wrestler Kurt Angle had a protection from abuse order against him dismissed by an Allegheny County judge Early Monday.
The case stems from a disagreement between Angle and former girlfriend Trenesha Biggers, who has also wrestled for TNA under the name "Rhaka Khan" (I know what a few of you are thinking. He was dating an African-American woman). Do ya thang, Kurt!
Monday, Angle's attorney Michael Santicola told Channel 4 Action News that the PFA was voluntarily withdrawn by Biggers. Both she and Angle have agreed to stay away from ...
Will WWE’s Santino Marella Ever be Taken Seriously?
On November - 9 - 2009
Santino Marella has been a comedic staple on Monday Night Raw for a long time now. He is willing to do pretty much anything and that is why the WWE gives him so much TV time compared to the guys they have been winning matches. But can he ever be taken seriously in the future?
While I'm sure being in the international spotlight has been great for him, I'm also sure that he would like a chance to showcase his craft as well. From what I've heard, from his OVW days, he is actually a great technical wrestler.
Santino has held ...
The Best International Star: Jushin “Thunder” Liger
On November - 9 - 2009
When people think of Japanese wrestling, they think of names like Tigermask, Antonio Inoki, Ultimo Dragon, and Masahiro Chono, but one name stands above the rest: Jushin "Thunder" Liger.
Jushin, whose real name is Keiichi Yamada, began his career in wrestling in the early '80s training in Mexico and eventually debuted under New Japans promotion in 1984.
He later went to England to wrestle, but he eventually returned to Japan and began using the anime gimmick of Jushin Liger. His name changed to Fire Liger and then to its current incarnation of Jushin Thunder Liger.
Upon returning to NJPW, he garnered critical acclaim ...
The Power of the Face/Heel Turn
On November - 9 - 2009
The turn from Face to Heel, or vice versa, has been an important aspect of wrestling for decades. This turn from either good to evil, or evil to good, can happen gradually throughout a course of many weeks or in a single night. The turn can also come about from a switch to another major promotion.
In many cases weather slow or sudden, the turn seems to have a great ability. It can make or destroy the careers of wrestlers for one simple reason, some people are good at being bad guys, some were born to be good guys, and then ...
