John Cena You Filthy Liar: You Let The WWE Universe Down Big-Time
On December - 14 - 2009
Hustle, loyalty, respect, and now...
Dishonestly.
That's right, and John Cena should be ashamed of himself right now. His dishonesty has cost the WWE Universe, and it has cost us big-time.
I thought you never give up, never surrender?
Something like that.
Yet in the face of your most humiliating defeat, you laid there like a jobber and allowed an unqualified competitor walk away with your WWE title.
Where was your hustle?
Where was your willingness to pick yourself up and fight again, like you promised?
Where was your loyalty to the company that has done so much for you?
Yet you allow them to disgrace their own championship.
Where ...
Europe Is Smiling: Sheamus and Drew McIntyre Leave WWE TLC Champions
On December - 14 - 2009
Does anyone else find it funny that the WWE uses a guy for the poster and then doesn't have him on the card? I'm just sayin'.
Last night's TLC PPV saw three title changes, four if you count the strange Taker/Batista ending.
First off, I was surprised to see Christian retain against Shelton. Christian has had two long reigns as ECW champion which means one of two things, either creative has nothing else for him, or they are trying to build the ECW brand around him. Either way, Shelton was robbed.
Drew McIntyre beat John Morrison to become the Intercontinental Champion. This did ...
The Real Diva of the Year: Vickie Guerrero
On December - 14 - 2009
With the fans voting for Diva of the Year, it's logical to assume that Mickie James would pick up the win. Knowing the WWE, they'll give it to someone they want to push or who's in the middle of a feud for bragging purposes.
But if people were to really think about which woman in the WWE truly made an impact and embodied the word Diva, the answer is Vickie Guerrero.
I've read a lot of people are giving the win to Michelle McCool. She's a logical choice. She is the first woman to have won both the Women's and Divas Champion ...
Why the TLC PPV Disappointed
On December - 14 - 2009
Tonight's WWE Pay-Per-View offering shows why the company is in such a dismal state, at least from a fan's perspective. It wasn't so long ago that the TLC concept was a vehicle for bringing new talent to the forefront.
It used to be the pinnacle of a long-running storyline, showcasing talent's ability to perform death-defying athletic and acrobatic maneuvers, and in the process giving credence to every wrestler taking part in the match.
But tonight's entire show revolved around the format in some way or another, and not one match on the card truly lived up to the stature of TLC matches ...
TLC Gives Us Two Entirely Different Push Perspectives: Kofi vs. Sheamus
On December - 14 - 2009
For the first time, WWE had an entire pay-per-view event based around the concept of tables, ladders, and chairs. While not every match was contested under those rules, it proved to be a different and interesting concept.
Two items were of note tonight that involved rising Superstars on much different tracks. Kofi Kingston went one on one with Randy Orton in the early portion of the card. In one of the main event matches, Sheamus squared off with John Cena in a Tables Match for the WWE Championship. Both matches came up with different results.
Kofi lost his match to Randy Orton. ...
WWE’s Next Step: What To Do With an Unknown Champion
On December - 14 - 2009
Most of you might expect me to be basking in negativity and disappointment following WWE's TLC pay-per-view, a concept that I expected to fail, and in some ways it did.
I was going to save this article for tomorrow morning, but I just got finished reading senior writer Ryan Michael's article, and decided that this rebuttal needs to take place right now.
Ryan, you stated that WWE was shameful for placing its biggest prize on a virtual unknown. As I stated in my previous article, I feel Sheamus's spotlight is rushed. I feel that his "Celtic Warpath" is little more than a ...
I Wouldn’t Be Surprised If Randy Orton Channels Heath Ledger’s Joker
On December - 14 - 2009
The Dark Knight is one of my all-time favorite films.
Randy Orton is my all-time favorite sports entertainer.
Yet it's funny how sometimes greatness channels greatness.
While I do not have any evidence to substantiate this claim, I wouldn't be shocked if Randy Orton also happened to be a fan of The Dark Knight film.
Now I'm going to go out on a limb and assume everyone on B/R has seen the film, so you'll know what I'm talking about when stating the similarities that appear to be quite apparent.
The facial expressions.
It is what Randy Orton does best and in my view, does better ...
Three Things Gone Incredibly Wrong With WWE’s TLC Pay-Per-View
On December - 14 - 2009
TLC as a whole wasn't the worst PPV I have seen in a long time, but it did manage to make some pretty horrible mistakes.
Three of which became very apparent.
I discussed the tragedy of Sheamus' victory in my last article, but I didn't quite have the opportunity to get to gripe about the other issues I had.
Nevertheless, Sheamus takes my top spot as the most monumental blunder of the event.
1. Sheamus Wins the WWE Championship.
What is there to say really?
He is under-talented, under-qualified, and over-pushed.
The result: The biggest name of this generation drops the industry's most prestigious prize to a ...
WWE’s Shameful Disaster: The Incompetent Sheamus Wins the Title
On December - 14 - 2009
Tragedy has befallen the WWE Universe.
Amidst turbulent times, turmoil, and an utter lack of logical decision-making, the WWE brought forth the culmination of their disturbing aberration by placing the most prestigious prize in the entire industry around the waist of one of the most under-qualified performers in recent memory.
It was wrong; it was bad for business—it was downright shameful!
The incompetent Sheamus now stands tall amongst all of his peers as the top guy in the industry, or so the WWE's creative team is attempting to indicate.
Randy Orton, John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Big Show, Batista, Chris Jericho, and ...
Counting His Lucky Charms: Sheamus Wins the WWE Championship at TLC
On December - 13 - 2009
In one of the most shocking turns of events I think I have ever seen in WWE history, the WWE had their top babyface (good guy) in John Cena drop his WWE Title to a man who hasn't been in the WWE a year yet in Sheamus.
The match was contested in a tables match, where the object of the match was to put your opponent through a table. Once you are put through the table, no matter how it happens, you win the match.
This was very key, as it played a part in Sheamus winning. While Cena was getting over ...
