WWE’s Christian Should Be a Main-Eventer

Posted by Scott Manyard On January - 7 - 2010
Ever since he made his debut in 1998, Christian has added a last name, removed it, changed gimmicks, and even gone to a different company. But one thing has always remained consistent: he entertains. In his second go around in the WWE, Christian has proven that he is a top notch guy worthy of being a main-eventer and the face of a company. He's had great feuds with Jack Swagger, Tommy Dreamer, and William Regal all while competing on the company's "C" show ECW. He's even managed to bring back respect to the soon-to-be-defunct ECW Championship by becoming its longest reigning champion ...
The Monday Night Fallout continues. The Jan. 4 live iMPACT broadcast has set the Internet Wrestling Community ablaze with opinions and more rumors of future plans.   One of the things that many lamented was the poorly booked X-Division “Steel Asylum” match that opened the show. It ended in a disqualification finish after Homicide used a baton on the other competitors.    The X-Division is capable of better matches and TNA has used the Asylum gimmick better in the past as well. Fans at the taping chanted "this is bull**it" when the match ended as it did.   One other complaint that had surfaced, apart from the ...

Shawn Michaels’ Heel Turn: Come Back to the Darkside, HBK

Posted by Alex Calles On January - 7 - 2010
On Black Monday (you know the date: Jan. 4, 2010), we got what may have been a glimpse of a promising future development. Something that could significantly improve the quality of Monday Night Raw . Sheamus's credibility as WWE champion improving? MVP resuming his stalled push? Legacy breaking up? I see those and raise you one better: a Shawn Michaels heel turn. Anyone who saw Raw this past Monday no doubt caught a glimmer of the possibility: his reaction to seeing Bret Hart again (which managed to be both heartfelt and just a touch hateful); his annoyance in the backstage DX skit ...

Come Over to the Darkside, Shawn: A Heel Turn for HBK?

What if AJ Styles was in WWE and John Cena was in TNA?

Posted by JVCXV On January - 7 - 2010
This is a question I have had on my mind after reading a few “what if” articles by Chris Mueller(What If#1 )(What If#2 ) and viewing the latest Monday night showdown. The reason I have selected these two performers is mainly for their statuses in their respective companies. First, you have AJ styles, the current TNA World Heavyweight Champion.  AJ has been with the company since the beginning, has won multiple titles in TNA, and is arguably one of the best, if not the best wrestlers in the world today.  Clearly, AJ is the present and future of TNA. Next, ...

Monday Night Clone Wars

Posted by Christina Freeman On January - 7 - 2010
People are talking about the Monday Night War, who won, who didn't? This can't be resolved in one night no matter what type of star power you have.  It's about endurance. How long can TNA keep up this shock-jock programming? And honestly how much longer can the WWE do the same with RAW? I started so very excited about the prospect, The Monday night wars were back!! I told myself now is when it starts to get done right again. But when you actually look back and try and determine what it was that made that time so exciting everyone ...

TNA Just Hasn’t Learned…yet….and WWE Hasn’t Either Part I

Posted by Wrestling Uncovered On January - 7 - 2010
I love TNA, I really do. I want them to succeed; I want them to become recognized. I feel they have a good chance at doing it and I will admit like many I was anxiously waiting to see the beginning of the "new" Monday Night War. I sat down ready to see TNA, hoping to be wowed. Then the show hit, beginning with the ridiculous Steel Asylum match with a terrible ending, and the debut of Jeff Hardy. However, different from most people, as soon as nine came around, I simply turned on another TV to watch RAW. I sat there with ...

2009 Pro Wrestling Awards: Female Wrestler of the Year

Posted by Shane H. On January - 7 - 2010
They are smart, sexy, and beautiful. They can also kick ass. No, I'm not talking about the WWE Divas, I'm talking about female wrestlers in general. Wrestling is not just for the fellows. The fairer sex gets down, as well. Sometimes, evident by some TNA Knockout matches, the women put on matches that are better than the guys. Let's cut all the formalities out of the way and get to business. Who was the best female wrestler of 2009? 1. Michelle McCool, WWE She's the longest-reigning champion in all of the WWE. Yes, she might be "boring" on the microphone and dating the Undertaker, but ...

John Cena Hell-Bent on Getting Title Back, but When?

Posted by lee raydean On January - 7 - 2010
At the lPPV event TLC, we all saw John Cena lose his belt to the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. Then Cena came out on RAW the following night, apologizing for his loss. He promised never to lose again until he wins the title back. Now does that mean he will lose after he wins his belt back? I know that sounds like a lame and stupid question, but it's feasible that it could mean just that. The following week, John won his match, keeping his promise that he wouldn't lose. He and Sheamus however did have words. So now we are three weeks after ...

CSI: WWE Featuring DX (Humor)

Posted by Mike Salvatore On January - 7 - 2010
Our story begins with popular WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio engaged in a two-on-one handicap match against the Big Show and Mike Knox. The deck seems heavily stacked against Mysterio. But after harnessing his inner John Cena, Mysterio begins to overcome the insurmountable odds and begins to gain control in the match. Apparently all Mysterio needed to gain the upper hand was some steroids, a few painkillers, and some good old-fashioned intestinal fortitude. After hitting Knox with a Huracanrana and sending him outside the ring, he prepares to hit Big Show with the 619 when suddenly the lights go out. All the audience hears is ...
