John Cena: The Man WWE Fans Hate To Love But Love To Hate

Posted by John Betschel On April - 26 - 2010
The current face of the WWE, John Cena has been in movies, commercials, TV shows, and is starting to follow in the footsteps of The Rock it seems. They're a lot of little kids out there that just absolutely love this guy, but more of the older WWE generation loathe him, and I'm one of them. The date was June 27th 2002, Smackdown. Kurt Angle had just made an open challenge to anybody in the locker room. And after a speech by Mr. McMahon exhorting the up and coming superstars to show "ruthless aggression" to earn a place among the legends, John Cena ...
Last night's WWE Extreme Rules PPV seemed to have one theme, push the younger guys. In the first official match of the evening, Showmiz took on three tag teams in a row, with the stipulation that if any team beats them, that team gets a tag team title shot on Monday. Monday is WWE's annual draft show, so it looks like the WWE may want to take the titles off of Showmiz and split them up. Showmiz defeated Jomo and R-truth by DQ when Jomo wouldn't release a submission hold, and they also beat MVP and Mark Henry.  The third and final team, ...
We have a new women's champion and it's Beth Phoenix! Fans, if you didn't catch this pay-per-view, I feel sorry for you. Why? Because Michelle McCool lost her belt. Michelle, Layla, and Vickie Guerrero had been taunting Beth for weeks now. Tonight, Michelle was given her walking papers from the Glamazon. Layla and the consultant for Smackdown, Vickie "Excuse Me" Guerrero accompanied the women's champion, Michelle McCool, to the ring.  The Glamazon didn't waste anytime in getting to the ring so the match could officially begin. This is one of the most physical women's match that I have ever seen. The tension was so thick, it ...

Matt Hardy: The Heart and Soul of Friday Night Smackdown?

Posted by Joel Garcia On April - 26 - 2010
Hey guys, I am gonna keep this article short and sweet. Now some of you might have read Matt Hardy's latest tweet about the so called "Chosen One" Drew McIntrye. If you didn't here is what he had to say. "I hate him, I really do." then added "The reason I hate Drew is cuz he's been given everything without workin' for it...While I've busted my ass for EVERYTHING I've ever earned! And to earn everything I that I have, I've sacrificed & destroyed my body.. That's why I actually respect Edge-cuz he's done the same." Now this is all true, if Matt ...

WWE Extreme Rules: Ten Things We Learned

Posted by Jeremiah Graves On April - 26 - 2010
After every WWE pay-per-view event, we’re supposed to be left with a feeling of satisfaction; as if all of our questions and concerns have been answered by the events that unfolded at the pay-per-view. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case. All too often, we are left with more new questions than answers. Sunday night’s Extreme Rules was no exception. Following the event there are plenty of important questions to be asked, but there is no doubt we learned plenty of things at the event as well. Without any further ado, here are the ten things we learned at WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view.Begin Slideshow

Special guest: Jonny Fairplay Full interview available at TheSportsCourier.com The Sports Courier's Fred Richani recently interview "Survivor" star and former TNA Wrestling personality Jonny Fairplay about a number of topics. His start in wrestling:  I've been a fan my whole life. I got involved with a few promotions and even worked under "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as a personal assistant before I got on "Survivor."  His "Survivor" experience:  The show was fun and gave me great exposure. Yeah, I got heat, but I had to do what I had to do to survive.  Beef with Danny Bonaduce:  I sued him and Fox and was awarded a nice ...
Now, before all of the “gelatinous tape-worms” and “parasitic sycophants” try to substantiate the hypocrisy of Chris Jericho's sanctimonious character, think about this for a second. How many of those words did you actually know before Jericho used them in a promo? Currently, we live in a world where sending text messages and typing Tweets have become commonplace. In this world, we now place a premium on the lowest number of characters we are required to type for us to get our message across. Many folks have just chalked this up to the fact that this is ...
Tomorrow night on TNA Impact, TNA will unveil a brand new, innovative, never before seen, ranking system. Where have I heard that before? In any event, TNA's third shot at setting up a ranking system (TCS anyone?) will indeed offer up a fresh perspective on pro wrestling. If done correctly, TNA will take another much needed step towards becoming the alternative to the WWE that it needs to be. It is unknown how this ranking system will work at this time. Will there be one ranking system for the heavyweight championship? Will there be a ranking system ...

WWE: How It Would Be Run If Captain Charisma Was in Charge

Posted by Captain Charisma On April - 25 - 2010
As you may well know, I am a Peep and if you do not know what that is, I sure as hell don't mean the marshmallows, folks. A Peep is a fan of the greatest wrestler alive today: He is known by various monikers from the most famous of "Captain Charisma" and "The Instant Classic" to lesser known one such as "Pontiff of the Peepulation", the "Livewire" and just for Andrea Claire..."Sweet Daddy Freak Out". No matter what he is called, he remains the best in the world at what he does. Although Chris Jericho, a great in his own right, uses ...

Posted by vikky vikram On April - 25 - 2010
In wrestling we have seen great matches, but before the wrestlers battle it out inside the squared-circle, they trash-talk each other, week after week, in promos and interview segments. Throughout the years there have many memorable segments, some good, some bad, but what makes a good promo stand out is having a good catchphrase to get the audience involved and give the wrestler a trademark. There are many famous catch phrases through out the history of wrestling. Here I given some of the greatest catchphrases, which I would think you all like. I didn't done any brief reviews, i have just given ...
