Desmond Wolfe: The Most Misused Wrestler In TNA

Posted by Ken Drabek On May - 5 - 2010
When Nigel McGuinness debuted as Desmond Wolfe on the October 22, 2009 edition of TNA Impact, mainstream wrestling fans were introduced to one of the best wrestlers in the world. Wolfe was immediately thrust into the TNA spotlight with a high profile feud against another of the world's best, Kurt Angle. The two had a series of incredible matches, including a couple of match-of-the-year candidates on consecutive pay-per-views. It seemed as if the sky was the limit for Wolfe, but once his feud with Angle began to fizzle out, his main event potential in TNA did as well. Since the Hogan/Bischoff regime ...
The wrestling community has been blowing up with feelings of both surprise and exuberance.  The news that TNA Impact! will move back to its original home on Thursday nights have been the talk of the town recently, since TNA is taking their time out to "listen" to their fanbase. This proves that while WWE may have won the battle, they have not exactly won the war. Since going against WWE, TNA has made a number of cosmetic changes and signing big names such as Ric Flair and Rob Van Dam.  The once innovative six-sided ring was changed to a ...

WWE Releasing Mickie James Leads To Bomb Threat

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Dude On May - 4 - 2010
Zavr Peygumbari is a WWE fan who is making headlines, but not for good reasons. Zavr was taken into custody after threatening to blow up WWE headquarters due to the release of WWE Diva, Mickie James. He also said he would go to WWE headquarters with a machete and machine guns. This fan in particular is known to be emotionally disturbed, according to the New York City Police. A judge lowered the fan's bond to $5,000 after the suspect gave a written promise to appear in court. The Judge also ordered Zavr to stay away from WWE headquarters, superstars, and all WWE events. This just ...

Is Orlando Jordan’s New Bisexual Gimmick Going to Work in TNA?

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Dude On May - 4 - 2010
A few weeks back Orlando Jordan began portraying a new character that is being considered one of the more controversial characters in recent history. His new charcater is that of a bisexual male wrestler.  He began the character by simply being escorted to the ring one night by his real life boyfriend and a female valet.  Even though it was edited out of TV, he kissed both at the top of the ramp. Many people know by now that Orlando Jordan is in fact bisexual in real life. He has made no effort to hide this as he does not see it ...

Posted by Dan Power On May - 4 - 2010
At the last WWE shareholders meeting, Stephanie McMahon expressed her satisfaction about the guest host concept for their flagship show.  With that concept, she said, the company was bigger than any late night show. She also added : "We really are what's cool to do in Hollywood right now, which can only help our image and brand building."           Click  here  here to view the entire 2010 WWE shareholders meeting. Honestly, I don't think the happy couple is celebrating over this one. After moving Impact to Monday nights on March 8th, TNA has called the, "New Monday Night Wars." quits. It was just announced hours ago that TNA is moving back to Thursday Night. After the powerful duo of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff came to TNA, a major shakeup was expected. They changed the six-sided ring to a more traditional four-sided ring, and they brought in big names like Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy and RVD. The biggest move of all though, was moving Impact to Monday Nights. What they got was a major drop ...

Minute-by-Minute: RAW’s Draft Fallout Thrashed by Disinterest

Posted by Benjamin Benya On May - 3 - 2010
Each year, the WWE spends an entire evening sifting through their entire roster and providing brief spurts of clarity on the brand extension. Since 2002, the WWE’s two definitive brands, RAW and SmackDown! , have provided the audience with distinctly different programs based on their respective talents. And despite the constant delusion of the talent pool to the point that the brands are often ignored, most of it stays constant. Three-hour RAW 's, crossover programs, and timely rivalries take the rules of the brand extension for granted. There is, however, a silver lining to this dark cloud—u sually, ...

The War Really Is Over: TNA Moves Back to Thursdays

Posted by The Future Of Bleacher Report On May - 3 - 2010
This just in, as I predicted in my previous article (http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/tna-news/war-over-tna-impact-returning-to-thursday-nights.php ), the war was over soon after it began. Since Hogan made alot of bad business decisions, and waging war against the WWE early, and due to the fact that the WWE has just drafted all it's stars to Raw, Dixie and Hogan have just told the talent that they are moving Impact! back to it's original time slot on Thursdays. It is rumored that this is Dixie's "huge announcement" that she talked about on her Twitter page. So, what have we learned today? I've learned that Hogan cannot be trusted ...
