The Top Ten TNA Employees/Factions That Need to be Fired

Posted by Jamie Johnson On June - 28 - 2010
Many of us TNA fans are disgruntled over the fact that the company isn't properly using the talent on its roster. On several occasions, we've seen the older wrestler or the greener wrestler receive pushes and television time over the younger, more talented wrestlers. Trimming away some of the roster would get TNA back on the right path toward establishing themselves as the better wrestling program. (Images are all taken from TNA's website.)Begin Slideshow

To Be the Man: What Will Be the New 16?

Posted by John Liner On June - 28 - 2010
Given the trend of micro title runs in the WWE, Ric Flair's 16 titles is ever more in danger of being broken.  We know the suspects to set the new record.  Assuming a retirement age of 45 or cessation of title reigns by then (even though The Undertaker's still winning titles at 45), total titles by current stars will be forecast. Sixteen is the official record as recognized by the WWE and includes Ric Flair's time in the NWA, WCW, and WWF/E. If yesterday's titles changed hands as much as today's, Nikita Koloff, Magnum T.A., Tully Blanchard, Roddy Piper, among others would be multiple world champions ...

WWE Wrestler of the 2000s: 2001

Posted by jason hamilton On June - 28 - 2010
I decided to write so soon due to my last slide being so short, so let me begin. Over the course of the next few articles I will examine the best wrestlers of each year during the 2000s. To be eligible, you have to have won at least one world title. Eventually, I will put together a list of the top five wrestlers of the 2000s and will have a poll up where the fans will vote. Each vote will be worth one point and will be added to the respective wrestler's point total. Also, the winner of each wrestler of ...

1PW: Life Beyond WWE, TNA and ROH

Posted by Paul Austin On June - 28 - 2010
A funny thing happened to me yesterday. I was reading an article on here, and saw a comment about Hurricane Helms, and somebody had told me the day before that he was wrestling at "Pain in the Park" this August, so I told the person about it, and went off to YouTube to see if there were any trailers for the event. The funny part wasn't that I didn't find any trailers, the funny thing, or at least it seemed strange to me, was that I found the official One Pro Wrestling (1PW) YouTube channel , where I discovered that many of ...

Money In The Bank PPV: Major Updates

Posted by Chris O Connall On June - 28 - 2010
The following article and information regarding the Money in the Bank pay-per-view is based on various reports from SeScoops.com.   The Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match: First of all, it is worth noting that both MITB matches are scheduled to feature eight wrestlers. Currently, the plan for the Raw match is for it to feature Randy Orton, Edge, Evan Bourne, The Miz, R-Truth, and three others yet to be decided—possibly John Morrisson, Ted DiBiase, and Chris Jericho, or a selected number of NXT Nexus athletes.   The World Heavyweight Championship Match: As announced on Friday's Smackdown, Rey Mysterio will defend his title against Jack Swagger. It ...

Message to IWC: Mixing the Old With the New Is a Good Thing

Posted by Eric Grisanti On June - 28 - 2010
I'm back, and somewhat annoyed. Not that anyone noticed I was even gone. Why am I annoyed? Because ever since I've stopped writing on Bleacher Report, I've been reading article after article, and comment after comment, talking about the "old age home" and "WWE's nobodies" taking over TNA. Now, I agree on some things, such as too much Hogan, RVD's title run starting a bit too quickly, not wanting to see another Sting vs. Jarrett match (or even segment) without stabbing myself in the eye, because you can only take so much of Sting kicking the shit out of one ...

Batista: The Animal Unleashed,or Unreliable?

Posted by Tom Clark On June - 27 - 2010
Batista. The Animal. He’s brute strength and intensity personified. He’s a former World Heavyweight Champion, and a former WWE Champion. An original member of Evolution, and one of the most physically impressive and more popular Superstars the WWE has seen in years, Batista had the business in the palm of his hand. Recently, he’s taken his leave of the WWE and announced he’s signed with Strikeforce to embark on a mixed martial arts career. A lot of fans hate to see him go. As for me, I say good riddance. I have had it with this. It’s an all too familiar story, and ...

Greatness Personified: 10 Current Wrestlers With The Best Careers

Posted by Alec Miller On June - 27 - 2010
A great career, what makes a great career for a pro wrestler? Is it just winning a lot of titles, or is it just winning two or three titles, but having extremely long reigns, or maybe just having a long career is the definition of a great one. This question might be one that has challenged the minds of wrestling fans around the world. I mean, do wrestling fans place the career John Cena has had (nine WWE Titles) on the same level as lets say Shawn Michaels' (four WWE titles) career? I most certainly don't. Nor do I believe there will ever be a ...

Message To TNA: ECW Is Dead and Long Gone

Posted by Josh Brewer On June - 27 - 2010
TNA has been taking a lot from WWE over the past few years—namely, its washed-up talent—but there's one lesson the second-class pro wrestling organization needs to take from WWE. ECW is dead. It has been for nearly a decade. Any angle attempting to tap into ECW's appeal and fan base simply won't work. As a massive original ECW mark, I wish I didn't have to write those words. The truth isn't always pretty, however, and the truth is, ECW will only live on through home videos, Internet clips, and interviews with the men and women who made the promotion what it ...
