Shawn Michaels: Coming Soon to a Computer Near You

Posted by Jason Taylor On July - 29 - 2010
Shawn Michaels recently revealed that he's joining the internet community, as he will be launching his own website in the near future. Michaels has also opened accounts on Twitter and Facebook. In order to place potential doubters at ease, Michaels released a video message on YouTube to verify his plans. In his video message, Shawn gave two reasons for becoming an internet presence. First and foremost, he wanted to be able to keep up with all the fans who have supported him over the years and let them know what he's up to, and not up to. Secondly, Shawn stated that there were far too many ...

29 HUGE Mistakes Made By WWE in the 21st Century

Posted by A. M. On July - 29 - 2010
What's going on, Bleachers? On the B/R Wrestling forum, many of us differ on a lot of things; "Who the greatest wrestler is?", "What the greatest match of all-time is?" and even silly things like "What the best WWE T-shirt of all time is?" Differences in opinions help spark healthy debates amongst the writers and commentators on this site. But, if there is one thing that EVERY writer on on this forum of Bleacher Report can agree on it is our overwhelming love for Pro Wrestling and WWE. But, just because we love WWE doesn't necessarily mean we agree with any of their ...
The staff of Big Nasty Securities has been questioned lately as to why they do not have in-depth stock tips pertaining to the TNA roster. Frankly, TNA's Even-Steven booking makes it more difficult to get a handle on who the company is high on and who is in the cellar. Great wins are followed by baffling losses, ref bumps are almost embarrassing in their ubiquity, and clean finishes are unfortunately at a premium. However with the recent TNA rankings system, and some relatively consistent booking patterns lately, coupled with closer research and analysis, Big Nasty Securities believes it has finally garnered ...

The 2010 PWI 500… Who Are the Top 10 Wrestlers of the Past Year?

Posted by Kurt Oppenheim On July - 28 - 2010
Since 1991, the world of pro wrestling has looked to Pro Wrestling Illustrated for its annual listing of the top 500 pro wrestlers in the world to rank who had the best year. For the first time in the history of the PWI 500, a TNA wrestler is being ranked No. 1 this year. Congratulations are in order for A.J. Styles, the face of TNA, who had a "Phenomenal" year. This was no easy feat; in fact, the only other non-WWE/WWF wrestlers to be ranked No. 1 were both in WCW: Sting in 1992, and Dean Malenko in 1997 (a year ...

WWE’s Worst Summerslam Moments and Matches

Posted by Jesus Rocha On July - 28 - 2010
For the past 23 years, Summerslam has always been considered the biggest wrestling pay per view of the Summer. Each year, the WWE has a great match or moment on the card. Even though at times there are great matches and moments, there is always a bad match or moment during the show. These moments and matches will always be remembered for sucking. Last time I did a slideshow, it focused on the best moments and matches at Summerslam, so now I am going to be focusing on the worst matches and moments at Summerslam. Though there have been a lot of bad ...

Linda Hogan Engaged: The Hulkster’s Ex to Marry 21-Year-Old

Posted by Jon Star On July - 28 - 2010
Linda Hogan, also known as the ex-wife of former wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan, grabbed headlines today when she announced that will be getting married to her 21-year-old boyfriend. The news sent shockwaves to college-aged men all over the country who may dream of bagging an available, rich cougar.  Well, Hogan took herself off the market by announcing that next summer she will be getting married to a man 29 years younger than her. Hulk's response? "Hulk is very happy for Linda," his publicist told E! News, continuing to state that he, "wishes them both ...

Pro Wrestling: July 26th Review Of WWE’s Monday Night Raw!

Posted by Chris O Connall On July - 28 - 2010
John Cena/Chris Jericho Promo Cena kicks things off here saying that his team can defeat Nexus and that they are not invincible. He goes on to say that his team need to act like a team and show unity ect ect. Jericho comes out and claims he is more valuable to the team than anybody else and Cena agrees. They argue a bit and thats pretty much it. Both men's mic skills were really good here. Although this type of ''dissention among the ranks'' angle is done with every storyline like this, I really enjoyed the segment. Jericho played his role to perfection—as always—and ...

All Aboard the Riley Express: More Thoughts on NXT Season Two

Posted by Voodoo Magic On July - 28 - 2010
So since my last NXT review, my TV has shorted out and I can’t watch WWE programming. However, thanks to the WWE’s video section—as well as YouTube—I was able to look at some of what happened on NXT last night and wanted to share some thoughts once more.   All Aboard the Riley Express First and foremost: Thanks to a message from Hellbilly, I see that Alex Riley mentioned that “if it were up to the Pros...he’d win by a country mile,” accused Kaval of trying out for a Morgan Freeman role, and called Percy Watson a “poor Eddie Murphy impersonation.” Now, I’m sure ...

BR KOTR Qualifier: Dolph Ziggler vs. Evan Bourne

Posted by David Forrest On July - 28 - 2010
Dolph Ziggler: Height - 6 ft 0 in Weight - 221 lb From - Hollywood, Florida Ziggler is one of those people who has underperformed in the WWE. The guy clearly has talent, but we havn't really seen enough of it yet. The fact that his only title success in the WWE came as part of the Spirit Squad says it all really. However, Ziggler is clearly an excellent in-ring competitor. Look at his amateur record! Ziggler holds the record number of pins at his school (82), and holds the second-biggest number of pins for Kent State University. He's the last person ...
