WWE This Generation’s WCW: Is History Repeating Itself?

Posted by ReDevil On October - 29 - 2010
The winds of changes are blowing but not in favor of WWE. History seems to be slowly repeating itself in the world of professional wrestling. The only difference is that instead of pro-wrestling vs. pro-wrestling, its pro-wrestling vs. mixed martial arts. There is absolutely no doubt that we are living some of the darkest days of wrestling compared to the '80s, '90s and the early 2000s. WWE is starting to become the Titanic and it's soon going to clash with the iceberg. Also I couldn't help but notice the many similarities between the current WWE and the dying WCW. The things that ...

WWE: Can’t Get Brock Lesnar, Why Not Kimbo Slice?

Posted by Viggo Drakuvich On October - 29 - 2010
There was recent buzz about a potential Undertaker vs. Lesnar match for Wrestlemania 27.  Dana White has denied this and this has left many of us disappointed.  There is always a possibility that this may change, but I wouldn't hold out hope. So, now it is time to move on.  The top contenders for the hot match-up at Wrestlemania 27 are Kane, Cena and Sheamus.  Are you excited about this?  Me neither.  Let me introduce to you a different idea.  The man who should face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27 is.... Kimbo Slice. This is an idea that could work. Kimbo Slice is ...
Throughout the history of wrestling, we have seen that the greatest story lines almost always involve a heel who stirs up the fans' ire and an upstanding babyface that the fans can rally around.  Think back to classic battles such as Steamboat vs. Savage, McMahon vs. Austin, Sting vs. Ric Flair; they all had a common theme in which the dominating heel was in control until the final battle when the face finally won the war.  Fans on both sides of the fence watch in anticipation of how each feud reaches its apex to see if the face can ...

Love Affair: Several Wrestlers the IWC Loves and Why Their Time Has Passed

Posted by Colin McAndrew On October - 29 - 2010
Being an avid reader of Bleacher Report's wrestling section I have noticed a theme. That theme being a romanticized view on particular wrestlers and why they need to win the coveted WHC. Some of them I agree with others not so much. Either way here are wrestlers that I feel are over hyped by the IWC. I want to start of with a guy who I really feel made a HUGE mistake by leaving TNA. That man is Christian. I am a fellow peep, and I am with many people's view that he should be in the running for the gold. He ...

WWE: Why John Morrison Is the Future of the WWE

Posted by Viggo Drakuvich On October - 29 - 2010
WWE is in a slump at the moment with the current face of the company losing his bright star. So who can the WWE turn to in this time of need? Well, it is none other than John Morrison. Morrison is a former ECW, three-time Intercontinental and former WWE and World tag team champion. Morrison has the looks and moves to take the company to new heights. John Morrison has shown that he is very capable of hanging with the main eventers. 2009 was the year of Morrison showing a strong rise on SmackDown. He put on great matches with Rey Mysterio ...

No Guts, No Glory: Why WWE is Failing

Posted by Viggo Drakuvich On October - 29 - 2010
WWE is in a very strange place right now. There have been some changes, and it is becoming clear the organization is worried about its current state. However, the company has not gone far enough to make the product something worth watching again.  This is because WWE is just unwilling to make changes. As it is said in this PG-era, WWE doesn't have the "guts" to make the necessary changes.  A prime example of this unwillingness is the angle between Nexus and John Cena. There was a lot of speculation on a potential Cena heel-turn. Many articles were written on this topic, and ...

TNA Wrestling Finally Earns Respect From Its Detractors

Posted by Joe Burgett On October - 29 - 2010
For the longest time, I have been a fan of TNA. At least enough to watch it. I have bashed it in the past simply because I know what they could accomplish and they just weren't doing it. Now, they are starting to slowly give us some great things to watch. Before I had just minor respect for TNA, nothing big. When Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff came in, I lost pretty much all respect for TNA. I still have no respect for Hogan and Bischoff. But now, I do have more respect for TNA as a whole. And the reason is ...

WWE: Top 10 Props Fans May Wear to Polls for Linda McMahon

Posted by RM HEROLD On October - 29 - 2010
Republican Linda McMahon, better known as the wife of Vince McMahon of the WWE, is behind in the polls to Democrat Richard Blumenthal in the Connecticut contest to succeed Chris Dodd in the Senate. But that's not what is making the most news as far as this election goes. And the fact that Mrs. McMahon has spent $40 million is interesting but also not the part of the story that I want to focus on.To me, the best part of the upcoming Connecticut election day is this story out of the Washington Post.Apparently state officials are worried about people coming to ...
