Top Ten Regulars On WWE Superstars

Posted by Rachel Miller On December - 31 - 2010
WWE Superstars made its debut on April 16, 2009. It is a hour-long show featuring matches from RAW and Smackdown (ECW was featured from 2009 to its demise back in February) and was similar to WWE Sunday Night Heat and WWE Velocity. However, WWE Superstars was criticized by many WWE fans as a wrestling show that lacked star power. Occasionally, mid-card superstars like Chris Jericho, Evan Bourne, The Great Khali, Mark Henry, R-Truth, Santino Marella, Ted DiBiase, Tyson Kidd, Vladimir Kozlov, Christian, Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson, Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston would have a match on the show as well as ...
When a wrestling match is referred to as a modern day version of Ric Flair versus Ricky Steamboat, you know that it has to be something special. That is exactly the high praise given by Jim Cornette to Davey Richards versus Tyler Black for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship, the main event of Death Before Dishonor VIII. Sure, Cornette did color commentary for the match and he is the "Executive Producer" for ROH on HDNet. He also serves as a major creative player with the company, but there is a bit of truth to his incredibly bold remarks ...

Awesome Kong: How The WWE Divas Have No Chance Against Her

Posted by Jack Windham On December - 31 - 2010
Suspending belief is what the wrestling business is all about. However, it's going to be extremely difficult to do that if Awesome Kong actually signs with WWE. Based on her size and appearance, the other divas in the company simply do not look like they legitimately would stand a chance against her. Kong is 5'11", 275 pounds—that's quite a huge difference from the petite models who masquerade as wrestlers. On average, the WWE divas hover around 5'5" and 115 pounds. At 5'5" and 135 pounds, Natalya looks considerably bigger than the other divas. Beth Phoenix, the biggest diva on the current roster, stands at 5'7" ...
Earlier this week, I got an excessive amount of criticism for my first article in weeks. I stated my opinion of the CM Punk/Nexus angle and most took it as me criticizing Punk himself. To clear the uneasiness about this situation I decided to write this article. Back in 2006, newcomer CM Punk's first vignette aired. Myself honestly a bigger fan of ECW than RAW or Smackdown, I remembered the guy from a small segment with Brock Lesnar. After Lesnar won the WWE title from Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania, he was making his return to Smackdown! Backstage Brock was entering the arena. ...

WWE History: Best and Worst WWE Champions

Posted by Andrew J. Kearney On December - 31 - 2010
The history of the WWE Championship is a long and storied one.  Over the past 47 years, there have been many memorable and even forgettable champions to hold the belt.  From Buddy Rogers (the first champion) to The Miz (current champion) and everyone in between, it's been an interesting time in WWE.Many of these champions have been WWE Hall of Famers who helped define generations of wrestling. The torch has been passed from Hulk Hogan to Bret Hart to Shawn Michaels to Steve Austin to The Rock to Triple H and to John Cena.  Also, there have been scores of ...
Hey guys, this is Nick "RKO TaKeR" Finocchio here to tell you about the WWE's current injury bug. The Highlight Reel: My Top 25 Monumental Pro Wrestling Moments of 2010

Posted by Graham 'GSM' Matthews On December - 31 - 2010
Let me start off by saying I have officially returned to Bleacher Report after a month hiatus, and here to make one or articles by the end of the year. I will be making big changes to my article come 2011, so I hope you all enjoy.2010, in my opinion, has been more historical than the last few years, in some good ways, and bad. Yes, we had the progression of the "PG era" this year but that hasn't stopped WWE from doing what they do best: entertain. Please note that these are listed from least to greatest on historical moments ...
For Pro Wrestling, the year 2010 can be described in numerous ways. The Year of the Mid Carder. The resurrection of World Championship Wrestling. More suitable would be the Year of Absences. Despite this, 2010 can only be synonymous with one thing. 2010 is the Year of Stables.North America's Biggest Wrestling promotions introduced a number of stables this year. From The Nexus to Fourtune, stables were the centerpiece or played a major role in Pro wrestling. Despite their attempts none of these stables achieved ANYTHING.Don't get me wrong, some were entertaining for a short time. But the question is did ...

The Two Sheds Review: 3PW A Funkin’ Classic

Posted by Julian Radbourne On December - 30 - 2010
Having ventured into John Zandig’s world briefly, we’re now going to take a trip to the world of Jasmine St. Claire (no, not that world) and The Blue Meanie as we go back to the Electric Factory in Philadelphia in May 2003 for Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling’s A Funkin’ Classic, headlined by old rivals Jerry Lawler and Terry Funk. The show began with the late Trent Acid going up against Ric Blade. My heart sank a little within the first few minutes, first because the entrance curtain collapsed as Acid made his appearance, and second because of the position of the hard camera, ...
