Breaking News: Former TNA Knockout Inks Deal with WWE

Posted by Ryan Frye On December - 29 - 2010
I figured I might as well write about more breaking news that Dirtsheets are reporting today. According to Wrestling Inc.com (the plugs I've given this site today, sigh) Awesome Kong has signed with the WWE: "Sources are reporting that, as suspected, Awesome Kong has signed with WWE. Rumors began to surface on Tuesday that Kong had signed with the company, and her tweet is being taken as confirmation of the news. "My dreams just came true today. I got my dream job. Yes, THAT one," she said." The tweet has since been removed by Kong. I doubt she'll stick with the Awesome Kong name since the ...

The Two Sheds Review: CZW An Afternoon Of Main Events

Posted by Julian Radbourne On December - 29 - 2010
As I’ve finished my TV reviews for awhile and cleared the pile of DVDs I’d been sent to review, I’ve decided to step out of my comfort zone and take a look at a company I’ve reviewed only once before—Combat Zone Wrestling. The show I’m going to look at is An Afternoon of Main Events, held at the former ECW Arena in January 2006, just a few hours before Ring of Honor held a show in the very same building. It’s a show that was part of the Supercard Sunday slot on The Wrestling Channel here in Britain. (Oh, how we miss ...

R.I.P. WWEUniverse.com: Is Our Economy To Blame?

Posted by Rachel Miller On December - 29 - 2010
Effective Saturday, January 1, the WWE Universe website will be shut down. There are actually two reasons for the decision. One is the fact that WWE is redesigning its website, and the second reason is the crippled economy.  Keep in mind it takes money to run a website, and given the fact that out economy has been in such bad shape the past few years, it has affected a multitude of businesses and industries. Companies like Circuit City and Linens 'n Things are but two unfortunate victims of our economy. The WWE is another organization that has to make some ...

Major John Cena Update

Posted by Ryan Frye On December - 29 - 2010
Disclaimer: I'm not pretending to be a reporter nor do I have "inside sources," this is straight from the dirtsheets, as you'll see I credited. I deleted the earlier update so this article doesn't look jumbled up, here is the very latest: "WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross said on his twitter account that John Cena could have suffered a hip pointer during his match against Wade Barrett in Wilkes Barre, PA last night. A hip pointer is deep bruising of the pelvic bone and muscle from a hard blow to that area. The injury can also cause internal bleeding within the ...

Brock Lesnar: How It Takes More Than Just a WWE Contract To Wrestle Him

Posted by Jack Windham On December - 29 - 2010
In life, not everyone is qualified for everything. You wouldn't just anyone delivering your child. You wouldn't want just anyone doing an emergency landing on a commercial plane. You wouldn't want just anyone cutting open your chest and performing life-threatening heart surgery. It doesn't matter if they stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night—the average person is not qualified to do those things. The same rule applies when trying to figure out which wrestler is best suited to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Not everyone is qualified.Vince McMahon is trying to sign Lesnar for Wrestlemania because he's hoping to create a big splash ...
Have you ever been in a relationship where you feel like your significant other is treating you like crap? After a while you get sick of it and just dump the person. But then they convince you to come back and promise everything will be better. The only problem is: it's not any better, in fact, it's worse. That is exactly what happened between these five WWE wrestlers who left the company after they felt they were mistreated but decided to give it another shot.Bad idea; they're being treated worse than they were before. Which is why we will never see this ...
