WWE: Why Vince McMahon Needs to Bring Back Jim Ross

Posted by David Rutter On February - 25 - 2011
Simply put….Jim Ross is the voice of WWE. Never in pro wrestling has there been an announcer quite like Jim Ross. He’s won “Best Television Announcer” 13 times!!! He could liven up any match, even if it was Santino vs. Hornswoggle. In my opinion, the overall quality of programming has taken a significant hit since Good Ol’ JR was taken off TV almost two years ago. Don’t get me wrong, as annoying as Michael Cole is, he is far better than he has been in years and I will always enjoy listening to The King, but no one can ever replace Jim Ross. I think ...

WWE: How I Would’ve Done the Invasion/nWo Angle

Posted by Bryan Leifeste On February - 25 - 2011
I used to be a big Wrestling fan.  I still like it but don't watch it often.  I fell out of it after the whole invasion angle when WWF took over WCW and became WWE. ECW had folded up and most of their superstars were with the WWE already.  Rhyno, Tazz, Raven, The Dudley boys, and Justin Credible were under contract with WWE already.  Lance Storm and Mike Awesome's WCW contracts were purchased by WWE. Rob van Dam and Tommy Dreamer signed deals with WWE after the purchase of WCW. Most of WCW's stars opting to ride out their WCW contracts really ...

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase: What a Difference a Year Makes

Posted by Rachel Miller On February - 25 - 2011
Last year at WrestleMania XVI, former Legacy members Ted DiBiase, Jr. and Cody Rhodes took on their former mentor Randy Orton in a Triple Threat Match. Orton won after he RKO'd DiBiase. Most everyone (myself included) thought for sure that DiBiase would go on to be the Shawn Michaels and Rhodes would be the Marty Jannety. Boy, were we wrong! Let's look back at the year since Rhodes and DiBiase left Legacy. THE WWE DRAFT DiBiase has been labeled as a future main-eventer with talk of a babyface stable with his younger brother Brett and Michael McGillicutty (the son of ...

WWE SmackDown Results, Questions and Comments…LIVE! (2/25/2011)

Posted by Rob Belote On February - 25 - 2011
Friday night is here, and along with the end of the work week, we get WWE's second major offering: SmackDown. But if you're reading this, you likely know that. You also know that Edge is the Blue Show's World Champion, and he'll be facing Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania.  With Christian having attacked ADR at Elimination Chamber, and Christian being one of Edge's best friends (and former tag team partner), will we get more involvement from the E+C Connection tonight?  You'd assume Christian and Edge would still be friends, as there's no reason for it to end up otherwise.  Might they ...

Stratusfaction: Will Trish Stratus Wrestle One More WWE Match?

Posted by Renee Gerber On February - 25 - 2011
Hey, Bleachers! By now, everyone knows that Trish Stratus made a triumphant return to the WWE this past Sunday at Elimination Chamber. She was introduced by Booker T and announced as a trainer for the resurrected Tough Enough. As a longtime fan of Trish, I found myself marking out over this amazing news! She gave the WWE fans in attendance and those of us watching at home exactly what we wanted: our dose of entertainment. Or should I say, "Stratusfaction?" Trish showed her goofy, comical side while in the ring with Booker T. She did a whole schtick of mimicking The Rock and then ...

WWE: How the Potential WrestleMania Feuds Will Play out

WWE: Dolph Ziggler’s Credibility Becomes a Casualty Yet Again

Posted by Robert Aitken On February - 25 - 2011
Dolph Ziggler is an unemployed former World Heavyweight Champion. I'm still debating which part of that statement is more unbelievable to me. While I understand that Ziggler is not actually fired from WWE, his six minute reign as a world champion was ridiculous to say the least. The belief is that because Edge used a spear during the match that involved Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, Ziggler was automatically granted the World Heavyweight Championship. Instead of taking this avenue, Edge holds the belt a week longer, only to be officially stripped of the belt with Smackdown almost over last Friday night. Once officially given ...
There will be a returning TNA Knockout on the March 3rd edition of iMPACT! My favorite, Madison Rayne, will hold yet another open challenge match which will be accepted by her old rival. Last iMPACT!, we saw ODB accept the Knockout Champion's open challenge. ODB fell victim to the Queen of the Knockout Division. So Madison, who loves a challenge, will hold another open invite. Madison already knocked out Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Mickie James and ODB. So who is next? This is a SPOILER for the upcoming March 3rd edition of iMPACT! Madison's open challenge will be answered by ...
*The following article contains spoilers from tonight's episode of SmackDown and the Mar. 3 episode of TNA's iMPACT* It's been a seemingly quiet week around the Internet without speculation of WrestleMania main events and superstar returns. Of course, TNA decided to capitalize on the lull by trying to garner more attention. Like most everything else they do, they laughably failed. There are only two matches confirmed for WrestleMania XXVII, but plenty others are being strongly teased. Let's take a look at the world of wrestling in this last week of February, including a rare stop in the world of TNA Wrestling.   Will We ...
