Sports Entertainment Scoops is reporting that CM Punk has officially taken shots at the rattlesnake himself Stone Cold Steve Austin. The report goes as follows: “Nexus leader CM Punk and WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin had a strong exchange of words on Twitter on Wednesday, with Punk challenging Austin to a fight. It all started when Paul Heyman’s site The Heyman Hustle posted a fantasy matchup between Austin and Punk as part of their promotion of the WWE All Stars video game, which came out yesterday from THQ. In a follow up to the story, Punk tweeted the following: “I ...
It's that time of year again, WrestleMania, otherwise known as the Super Bowl of wrestling. Or is the Super Bowl the WrestleMania of football?   In any event, April 3 will mark the day that wrestling fans anticipate all year long. There have been mixed feelings regarding the strength of the WrestleMania card this year, but there are some extremely interesting dynamics involved.   To my knowledge, heels have never had so much to gain at any WrestleMania in its rich 26-year history. The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and The Corre would all benefit greatly from wins on wrestling's ...

WWE: Replacing Rey Mysterio Is a Lot Harder Than You Think

Posted by Jack Windham On March - 30 - 2011
A lot of things in this world are easier said than done. When word spread that Rey Mysterio requested his release from WWE, a handful of fans decided to go into defense mode. It was time to discredit him since he's thinking about leaving their favorite wrestling company. The other thing that they decided to do was to embrace similar wrestlers who were with the company. Complaints about Alberto Del Rio being overly pushed died down.Support was so high for the new guy that a lot of wrestling fans dismissed the notion that Sin Cara would be unmasked since he's ...

WWE: The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels’ Hall of Fame Induction

Posted by tiffanie jones On March - 30 - 2011
I had a dream. In my dream, an unidentified English-speaking being, perhaps an alien from Uranus, visited Earth for one day. After exploring various stores, this being, who I will call Ura, overhears three people speaking about an upcoming wrestling event.Ura, being new to the planet, has no idea what wrestling is. After the three people leave, Ura spots me. He asks me, “What is wrestling?” I, being extremely friendly, take Ura to my house, and say, “Have a seat; you’re in for a treat.” I first explain to him that pro wrestling is a sport that takes fantasy worlds ...

So here we are the biggest professional wrestling PPV of the year. The event usually has the ability to at least create one memorable moment that everyone can take away with them.Last year saw the retirement of Shawn Michaels after he failed to defeat The Undertaker for the second year in a row. This year at least promises some interesting matches providing all goes well. With no Money in the Bank ladder match, the mid-card has been developed much better going into the event, although it could still use some cleaning up.Last year's card was as follows:Tag Team Championship: ShoMiz(c) Def. ...

InsidePulse.com is reporting that Dave Finlay, former WWE wrestler and current producer and agent, was fired by World Wrestling Entertainment.According to the article by Aaron Glazer, it was because of a booking decision that the Belfast Brawler made, that the big E decided to give the master of the shillelagh the axe.
