Posted by Tom Urtz Jr On August - 13 - 2011
Last month the Internet was abuzz when C.M. Punk took the world by storm by leaving WWE and Money In The Bank with the WWE Championship. At the time the casual viewer thought that Mr. Punk had pulled a fast one on Mr. McMahon and the WWE Universe. However many of the lifelong fans saw this as just some ploy and attempt to gain publicity and viewers. Money In The Bank by all accounts was one of the most successful pay per views in recent memory. The buzz and popularity of C.M. Punk has injected new life into an industry that has ...

WWE SummerSlam 2011: WWE Needs Alberto Del Rio to Steal the Show

Posted by Donald Wood On August - 13 - 2011
The WWE needs Alberto Del Rio to swoop in after the destruction that will be the main event at 2011s SummerSlam, and steal the show. There is already too much going on in the CM Punk vs. John Cena feud, so advocating another star in the mix is odd, but the right move in the long run for the company. The WWE will not be able to ride the Cena, Punk and Triple H relationship for very long, so the company will have to switch gears and change storylines. Lending more credibility to the very real possibility that Del Rio could ...

Goldberg vs. Crimson in TNA by the End of the Year?

Posted by Jacob Forrester On August - 13 - 2011
TNA has been hyping and pushing Crimson for about eight months, his having won all of his matches, including an MMA exhibition against Double J in December and his defeat of three of Immortal’s baddest men last Thursday night.Crimson is the top dog in the Bound For Glory Series and appears unstoppable. He seems destined for the top title of his company, despite the main-event presence of Sting and Hulk Hogan. Who does that sound like? Goldberg. That’s who. An unstoppable force in WCW, Goldberg has won renown for his famous 173-0 streak, considered the second-most impressive unbeaten streak in history ...

Wrestling Rumor: TNA Bounces a Check for Former WWE Talent

Posted by Justin Watry On August - 13 - 2011
I do not even know where to begin with this story. It is sad. It is disturbing. It is ridiculous. It is horrible. It is... untrue?!?! Well, if you click here, you will see what all the fuss is about.Former WWE Superstar Jimmy Wang Yang is on Twitter, claiming that TNA has yet to pay him for a match he had with them months back. Okay, perhaps there was a mix-up or another issue. Things tend to happen. It is a bank—computers, numbers, and lots of variables outside of anyone's grip.Well, that is all true, but it wasn't the end ...

CM Punk Flashback: Thanksgiving Eve 2008 Podcast with the WWE Champion

Posted by David Bixenspan On August - 13 - 2011
Over the last five years I've done an infrequent hobby podcast called Loser Leaves Town. In November 2008, CM Punk did me a favor and recorded a show with myself and our buddy Rob Naylor (now the play by play announcer for CZW, Dragon Gate USA, and Evolve). I listened to it the weekend of Money In The Bank, and with Punk still on a roll with SummerSlam tomorrow, it's a lot of fun to look back on.It was an interesting point in his career for a few reasons. He had won his first Money In The Bank contract that ...

WWE Fact: Mark Henry Deserves to Be in the WWE Hall of Fame

Posted by Justin Watry On August - 13 - 2011
Yes, I used the word "fact" for an opinion piece, and yes, I am going on the basis of the WWE Hall of Fame being worth a darn here. I have touched on this a few times, but I will go into more detail here, as we are right before Summerslam and in the middle of a big Henry career spotlight. The hate this man gets just baffles my mind. I know wrestling forums online it is not exactly the most positive place on earth, but come on! I am all for respecting someone's opinion, but if someone's opinion is ...
