WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 Preview: 13 Storylines That Need to Be Addressed

Posted by Sharon Glencross On February - 11 - 2012
As the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania, WWE's Elimination Chamber event has always served as a pivotal date and a big turning point on the WWE calendar. Rather than just being your typical B pay-per-view, Elimination Chamber is the show where long-running feuds culminate, loose ends are be neatly tied up and things invariably kick up a notch in preparation for WM. With this in mind, here are the 13 lingering storylines that need to be addressed at the event, which takes place on Feb. 19 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisc.Begin Slideshow
It took weeks for WWE legend Chris Jericho to start talking on the microphone again, but now that he is, CM Punk has gone silent. Is this too much or is it actually starting to make sense? A little of both. While the initial silence by Jericho started off amazing, it quickly lost steam before fans grew weary of him. I advocated that Y2J was a wrestling genius, but his return was a flop. The even bigger flop belongs to WWE, though. It was plain to see that Jericho was supposed to win the Royal Rumble and challenge for the WWE ...

B/R Official WWE Power Rankings for the Week of Feb. 6

Posted by Chris Humphrey On February - 11 - 2012
With the aid of the wrestling community here on Bleacher Report voting throughout the day Friday, we have the inaugural edition of Bleacher Report's WWE Power Rankings that will be a staple of the WWE section on Saturday afternoons in the coming months. After winning the Six-Pack Challenge match Monday night on Raw SuperShow, where will Chris Jericho debut on the Power Rankings a little more than a week from Elimination Chamber? How will Daniel Bryan look in the rankings this week after a count-out loss Monday against the Big Show and a disqualification victory last night against Randy Orton on Smackdown? With that being ...
I enjoyed WWE Smackdown last night. It was the typical blue brand show on Friday night. The right amount of wrestling was mixed with the right amount of promos. However, one thing stuck out to me. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we are getting a new World Champion at the Elimination Chamber PPV event! Truth be told, I was all set on Daniel Bryan keeping his title until WrestleMania. His match against Sheamus would have tons of options, and the two inside the ring writes itself. Trust me! I thought Bryan vs. Sheamus was the way to go—until last night. ...

WWE: 25 Legends Who Could Still Make a Run Today

Posted by Ryan Aston On February - 11 - 2012
This year's WrestleMania card is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever, with John Cena vs. the Rock and the Undertaker vs. Triple H headlining the card. Last year, it was the Rock, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and Trish Stratus leading the charge. It's an interesting trend for a company looking to build around younger stars like CM Punk, Randy Orton, and Alberto del Rio, but nostalgia is a funny thing. Despite the public's penchant for seeking out the new and exciting, the fresh faces/younger talent on the WWE roster, its the WWE legends and that nostalgia factor that has created ...

WWE SmackDown: Is WWE Setting Up a Big Show vs Sheamus Match at WrestleMania?

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Doctor On February - 11 - 2012
Last night on WWE SmackDown there were some interesting seeds planted which could point to who will walk out of the SmackDown elimination Chamber match as World Champion. During the opening of the show Sheamus came out to address why he was waiting to pick his WrestleMania opponent until after the Chamber match. Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes made their opinions known, but it was Big Show who ended up having the most interesting segment with Sheamus. He seemed to be proposing a match based on mutual respect between he and Sheamus and WrestleMania, but that is only if Show ...
We as wrestling fans have an tendency to be critical about the WWE in various ways. It's either a storyline that ended too soon or lasted too long, a wrestler not being pushed or being pushed too fast. Creative being lousy and too predicable. The list of complaints can go on forever, as we can always find something to criticize the WWE about. In my opinion, the Be a Star Alliance is one of the few things in regards to the WWE we should never complain about. It may seem hypocritical for a wrestling promotion whose storylines are centered around wrestlers bullying, harassing and ...

10 Areas Where WWE Doesn’t Get Enough Credit for Doing a Good Job

Posted by John Nizinski On February - 11 - 2012
Many are not hesitant to criticize the WWE these days. Things like lack of roster depth and change from the "Attitude Era" to the "PG Era" have caused many fans to be angry with the company. There are certain things that the company has done right nowadays that go unrecognized or receive a lack of recognition. Here we will forget about the criticism and look at 10 areas where the WWE doesn't get enough credit for doing a good job.Begin Slideshow
These past few weeks, needless to say, haven't been particularly kind to The Miz.After allegedly being blamed by the WWE brass for the under-performing Survivor Series 2011 buy rate, "The Awesome One" gave his detractors more ammunition during the Feb. 6 edition of Raw.In a spot where The Miz was to presumably catch a flip-diving R-Truth, the former Real World star failed to do his part, which nearly resulted in a serious injury to his former tag partner. While Truth only sustained a bump on the head and a sore neck from whiplash, The Miz was reportedly harangued backstage in front ...
