WWE Rankings: Top 11 Wrestler Debuts

Posted by Rocky Brown On February - 11 - 2012
Debuts in the WWE can get fans going like no other segment. The pops for a surprise appearance entering a new organization can be deafening.Thankfully, with video services like YouTube, we can relive these moments over and over again. It's harder to do get these pops than it was in the past because we were spoiled. Living through the Monday Night Wars and the sale of WCW brought about debuts of superstars at a crazy rate.Debuts don't necessarily make or break a person. Even with a solid debut, the wrestler sometimes can't capitalize on the momentum.I judged the debuts on many ...
Ring of Honor’s last pay-per-view of the year, Final Battle, made for some excellent entertainment. It was my first Ring of Honor pay-per-view and their first of a new era.ROH signed a television deal with Sinclair Broadcasting in May and began weekly episodes on its new home in late September.Final Battle delivered some great matches and incredible drama, but it failed to deliver a satisfying main event.  *Three things you should know before you begin: 1) I’ve been an on-again-off-again wrestling fan. I watched from 2000-2005 and a few months in 2007. You’ve probably already guessed that CM Punk’s promo ...

WWE/TNA: My Top 10 Moments of the Week (Feb. 6-10)

Posted by Kyle Schadler On February - 11 - 2012
Another week of professional wrestling has ended and it was quite the step down from last week. Monday Night Raw was a huge letdown. The show was an overall disappointment coming off from the great show they had last week. TNA’s Impact Wrestling emanated from London, England once again and they had a great show. TNA has been on a roll lately and I hope that they can keep it up. Friday Night SmackDown was a decent show. It wasn’t as good as last week, but it was certainly better than Raw. Overall, I have to give this week to ...

Funny Screencaps of Wrestling

Posted by Hands of Stone Blankenship On February - 11 - 2012
Some of us are guilty of taking professional wrestling too seriously, I am one of those people. Sure, I love professional wrestling in it's purest form, but I also enjoy a bit of comedy every now and then. Taking inspiration from Botchamania, I compiled a short list of screencaps that really capture (pun intended) a WTF moment. Enjoy.Begin Slideshow

The Doctor’s WWE SmackDown Recap: The 124 Things We Learned, Loved and Hated

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Doctor On February - 11 - 2012
If the term lukewarm ever applied to anything, it applied to tonight's SmackDown. The show had some great action, as well as some terrible moments, which evened out to an average show. We got another combination of matches featuring five guys from the Chamber match as well as Rumble winner Sheamus. Orton and Bryan had a great match to cap off the show, while Big Show and Sheamus beat Barrett and Rhodes in what was a good tag match. We had yet another week of no Brodus Clay, as well as another gas problem segment with Natalya, which both left ...

Posted by Richard Boudreau On February - 10 - 2012
Social media in 2012 has become a small, but important part in the business of professional wrestling. Twitter, more specifically, is an excellent way for fans to be in the know when it comes to their favourite pro wrestlers and wrestling personalities. Many pro wrestling superstars such as CM Punk, Chris Jericho and Hulk Hogan share their wisdom and thoughts on Twitter on a regular basis, which is an extra incentive for a fan to create an account. Here, in no particular order, are 20 wrestling superstars, past and present, that wrestling fans should follow on Twitter.Begin Slideshow

Pro Wrestling’s Hall of Shame: Ed "Oklahoma" Ferrara

Posted by Hands of Stone Blankenship On February - 10 - 2012
Welcome back to Pro Wrestling's Hall of Shame. We've had some new items and displays set up in the HoS, you may have noticed the addition of Glacier's entrance gear, the furry body suit of Giant Gonzales and a basketball that does in fact, hold grudges. The Brawl for All was the first inductee into the Hall of Shame, and the second inductee is a man who had a hand in booking the Brawl for All, Ed Ferrara, better known as Oklahoma or Vince Russo's best(and only) friend.Ferrara isn't being inducted based on his time as a creative writer for ...

WWE Smackdown Results: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Posted by Justin Watry On February - 10 - 2012
This week, SmackDown was very enjoyable. It seems to always be the case, but this show felt better than others recently. For a grade, it would fall in the B+ range.  The Good It was great to see Sheamus start SmackDown this week. He said he was waiting to decide his WrestleMania title match until after Elimination Chamber. Makes perfect sense to me! I could have done without seeing Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Big Show here, but there had to be some sort of interaction. The tag match was quickly added, so it served a purpose. The Great Khali ...
