WWE News: Randy Orton Comments on His Upcoming Role in ‘The Marine 3’

Posted by Sharon Glencross On March - 27 - 2012
Earlier today, film site Variety confirmed the much-talked about rumour that Randy Orton would be taking the lead in The Marine: Homefront, the third installment in WWE's Marine franchise. As the site notes, The Marine: Homefront will be the first straight-to-DVD film in WWE's recently signed three-movie deal with 20th Century Fox. According to the report, Orton will play a (you guessed it) marine forced to utilize his deadly skills when a radical militia group kidnaps his daughter. He also has to stop a terrorist attack in the process. It is also described as being a "standalone" film, having no plot or character links with 2006's ...
Disclaimer: This will be an ongoing series for the next 28 days leading up to the biggest event in sports entertainment, WrestleMania 28. The idea behind the piece is to build more momentum for the event and give you, the Bleacher Report fan, a chance to read, comment and weigh in with opinions about the WWE, the business and the event. It is my hope this becomes something positive and we all enjoy the ride for the next four weeks to Miami and the biggest event of the wrestling year. Enjoy. I know I am going to upset people when ...
March 23 was the fifteenth anniversary of a match that would change the direction of Vince McMahon’s wrestling empire forever. WrestleMania XIII, emanating from the historic Rosemont Horizon in suburban Chicago, Ill., featured a submission match between longtime babyface and hero to millions, Bret “Hitman” Hart, and rebel, outlaw villain “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The match had been built up for months, dating all the way back to the sabbatical Hart took following WrestleMania XII, where Austin would call him out on a weekly basis. At Survivor Series 1996, Hart and Austin competed in one of the great wrestling matches ...

Posted by Daine Pavloski On March - 27 - 2012
Zack Ryder was in a funk. He hardly ever appeared on the main shows and if he did he was jobbing like a champ. Every week Ryder was being watched on Superstars by the tens of viewers who tuned in to watch Yoshi Tatsu, Trent Baretta and Tyler Reks (among others). But then...it all changed. Zack Ryder started to find his way into the eyes and hearts of WWE fans.He started a YouTube sensation, "Z! True Long Island Story" which started to bring the "broski" more fans. Then, before we knew it, Ryder was on Raw! He was starting to sneak ...
A major story of late has been Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson not categorically denying that his WrestleMania 29 match (it is already confirmed he will have a match of some sort) will be against returning former WWE, NFL and UFC star Brock Lesnar.Johnson implied it is possible, and a Lesnar return has been pondered by WWE fans ever since Lesnar's UFC retirement - he seems done with NFL and UFC, leaving him in need of some kind of revenue-maker.A one-off WrestleMania match would be logical, and there are very few men of the calibre required to participate in a match ...

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Doctor On March - 27 - 2012
We are just five days away from WrestleMania 28 and with what we assume is most of the matches already having been announced, it is time once again for the Doctor to make his predictions for the winners. There are several big matches scheduled, all of which have some big possibilities for what could happen after the bell rings. With WWE staking a large amount of the success of the event on The Rock-John Cena match, it will be interesting to see if the other wrestlers on the card will do their best to outperform them. So, without further adieu, here are my ...
The talking is (almost) over as the smoke finally begins to clear on the Cena-Rock feud that will headline WrestleMania 28.A very heated, personal verbal battle has brought the best out of John Cena while forcing the Rock to step up his game in order to maintain his built-in edge in popularity.  Cena and Rock have not engaged in any type of physicality with one another since Survivor Series last year, thereby preserving the novelty of their highly anticipated in-ring showdown.  With each mega star getting a series of digs on the other, it begs the question of who is ...
The long wait is almost over. WrestleMania is this weekend, and Raw delivered one final sales pitch last night. With a "special" SmackDown this Friday, all eyes are set on Sunday night. With all things, it is time to dive into the facts and figures. Before then, click here for my full thoughts on the "Red Brand" Monday night. As a reminder, last week's Raw drew a 3.1 rating. This week was more of the same: The first hour of Raw drew 4,438,000 million viewers. The second hour of Raw drew 4,448,000 million viewers. The official number for Raw was a ...
