WWE: With Chris Jericho Suspended, Where Does This Leave Randy Orton?

Posted by Graham 'GSM' Matthews On May - 26 - 2012
Upon Chris Jericho's shocking return to WWE earlier this year, the one person I hoped to see Y2J confront was none other than Randy Orton. Of course, this rivalry didn't immediately come to fruition due to Jericho's chase for the WWE Championship going into WrestleMania 28 against CM Punk, where he evidently came out unsuccessful. If you can recall, Orton was the reason why Jericho was removed from television back in September 2010 when the then-WWE Champion delivered a vicious punt to the skull of Jericho. Y2J wasn't heard from since, that is until his eventual return on the premiere Raw ...
As of now, Daniel Bryan is the IWC golden boy, embroiled in a feud with the former golden boy, CM Punk.Yet, it boggles my mind that WWE has put Daniel Bryan in this position when during his entire run as a main-eventer on Smackdown as World Heavyweight Champion he had almost no defining victories that would make someone say "You know, this guy is gonna be a major player from here on out."Not a single clean victory to speak of over anyone of significance. If you don't quite get what I'm pointing at, then allow me to breakdown the World Heavyweight ...

Cody Rhodes needs to be pushed and it needs to happen now.According to Marc Middleton of Wrestlenewz.com, the WWE has been planning a push for Rhodes in the likes of a feud with CM Punk.News came out this weekend that over the past few months, WWE officials were discussing Cody (Rhodes) for a potential feud against WWE Champion CM Punk.Rhodes looked like he could be a major figure in the WWE in his early years. Nothing has panned out for him, though, as he continues to find himself on a level below some of the major stars in the business. This ...

WWE: Top 12 Divas I Wish Would Return

Posted by Dustin Murrell On May - 26 - 2012
Perhaps more so than the WWE Superstars, the cast of WWE Divas seems to have a high turnover rate. For many of them, WWE is their first exposure to mainstream media, and it opens doors for them to move on.Whether it's dating George Clooney, making adult films with Sean Waltman, or simply focusing on eventually taking over the family business, many of our favorite divas have moved on from WWE television to pursue other interests.I've put together a list of the top 12 Divas I personally miss the most, the ones I really enjoyed seeing on WWE programming. It's not ...

WWE: Why John Cena Deserves a Break

Posted by Sharon Glencross On May - 26 - 2012
Let's make one thing clear: Over the last decade, few wrestlers in WWE have worked more tirelessly for the company than John Cena. The 35-year-old takes the term "Company Man" to a whole new level. Whether it's willingly going on grueling and exhausting PR trips, throwing himself into numerous charity events and functions or working a heavy road schedule, Cena has done it all for the promotion. Taking it all smoothly in his stride, you will never hear him complain or quibble about not getting enough time off or being over-worked. Hey, when he says on Raw that WWE is his ...

The 10 Best Movies Featuring Former WWE Champions

Posted by Mazusa On May - 26 - 2012
Many wrestlers have starred in Hollywood movies. Some of the movies have been good, some have been bad, some have been great and some have been ugly.Art (including movies) is subjective. Some people probably loved The Chaperone, while others thought it was a joke. Anyway, for this list, I tried to be as objective as possible. How?The movies on this list are ranked according to their critic/user ratings on RottenTomatoes.com and the number of stars that Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic Roger Ebert gave the films. There are a few more things you should know about this list:1) The list only includes movies starring ...
The business aspect of professional wrestling is never more apparent than when lawsuits and legal scandals alike dominate dirt-sheet headlines. Professional wrestling is the sideshow, jock carnival where only the strongest and toughest survive. Where did all this jockeying for corporate position come from?  This would have never happened during the good ole days when Ric Flair was NWA Champion. Lou Thesz is probably turning in his grave. It's a whole new atmosphere these days.  Gone are the days of the omnipotent NWA mob of promoters who bureaucratically decided who was worthy of holding their world championship. With the multimillion dollar, quasi-mainstream business that sports ...

Posted by Mike Chiari On May - 26 - 2012
There were plenty of rumors regarding what might happen in the John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis match at Over the Limit this past Sunday, but in the end it was the obvious result that ended up coming to fruition when Big Show helped Laurinaitis pick up the victory.Big Show's quick return and heel turn was certainly the biggest news in the WWE this week, but there were plenty of other interesting happenings as well. Big Show wasn't the only wrestler to come back at Over the Limit as another veteran was back in action after a long layoff and managed ...

WWE: 7 Contenders for Santino’s US Title

The current WWE United States Champion is Santino Marella.Whether you love him or hate him, the fact is that Marella is hugely over with the fans.Since March 5th, Marella has held the US Title, but he's never had a meaningful feud over it.I'm going to look at seven possible contenders, from both brands, who could feud with Santino over the title. In no particular order, let's get started.Begin Slideshow
John Cena is in yet another main event—this time it's No Way Out—but his feud with The Big Show, and John Laurinaitis is not worthy of the top billing.Obviously, Laurinaitis is a major reason the drama between Show and Cena has transpired, so it's expected that he plays a huge role in this match. Marc Middleton of LordsofPain.net is reporting that Big Johnny will be in Big Show's corner:Local advertising for next month's WWE No Way Out pay-per-view in East Rutherford, New Jersey says that John Laurinaitis will be in the corner of Big Show as he takes ...
