WWE Hell in a Cell May Be the Night of Run-Ins

Posted by Cardiff Wanderer On October - 27 - 2012
Considering the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view is named after a match that is specifically designed to stop the outside world interfering with the battle happening inside the ring, it is somewhat ironic that several of the other matches booked could plausibly encounter run-ins. Certainly, Dolph Ziggler has promised to cash in his Money in the Bank contract at some point during the event, while rumor is rife that Brock Lesnar is to return to help CM Punk pick up the finish against Ryback. These rumors may have become so ubiquitous that fans will be disappointed if both supposed invaders ...

WWE Hell in a Cell Preview: CM Punk Will Retain His WWE Championship

Posted by John Canton On October - 27 - 2012
It's been six weeks since the last WWE pay-per-view. If you'll recall, Night of Champions ended with a draw between CM Punk and John Cena. Then Cena needed surgery on his right arm, so instead of the big blowoff match between the two top guys, we're getting CM Punk vs. Ryback in the main event.  There are six advertised matches on the card with one of them being added during SmackDown this week. It was the divas match. There's a possibility that Antonio Cesaro vs. Justin Gabriel for the United States Title could be added to the show, but it's ...

WWE: Why Is Champion CM Punk a Much Better Villain?

Posted by Giulio Romano On October - 27 - 2012
CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! This has been WWE's national anthem since the summer of 2011.When the music hit, the fans jumped to their feet in adoration of their hero, the champion of the world and the voice of the voiceless. The character, the Superstar, CM Punk has been on a rocket ride to the stars, fueled by the fire, the adoration of millions. Now, all that merriment has been silenced and replaced by roars of boos and contempt...much to the delight of the "Best in the World".You see, CM Punk does what he does and says what he says because, well ...
While there is still so much uncertainty surrounding WWE’s October pay-per-view, Hell in a Cell, the intrigue surrounding the main event between fan-favorite CM Punk and unproven star Ryback has wrestling fans all over the world ready to tune in. There has been no clear ending to this match—or the actual PPV itself—that has presented itself through storylines so far, but the fact that this WWE title bout is unpredictable is exactly what the company wants. The Hell in a Cell card is far from the WWE’s most impressive of the year, but a solid lower card and a potentially ...

The only exception was the CM Punk/Ryback rivalry which has essentially been reserved exclusively for Monday Night Raw. But which of these issues were the most important? Once again, we take a look at the five key talking points to emanate from SmackDown this week, discussing their impact on ...
