While it really was not a huge surprise, Triple H recently confirmed on an episode of Raw that we have not seen the last of The Undertaker. The Undertaker has put his undefeated WrestleMania streak on the line every year for the last 20 years, and he will to look to extend that streak at WrestleMania 29. Over the last four years, he has faced both Shawn Michaels and Triple H twice. This year, it appears as though Undertaker will face a different opponent. It is unclear exactly who he will face, and it is always fun to speculate. Here are the potential ...

WWE Divas and Knockouts: Critiquing Their Shoots for 2012

Posted by Jade Jones On December - 28 - 2012
Over the years we have had plenty of Christmas shoots from both the Divas and the Knockouts. This year was a little different. The Knockouts knocked it out with their shoots while the WWE chose to give only one photo of a select few Divas. We're not exactly sure why the WWE, who so famously give us shoot after shoot of Divas, decided to go with just one. They did give us the 25 days of Divas, which I don't think was all that great, one photo again of a selected Diva with others from past shoots including past Divas. Here I ...

Lord Tensai and WWE’s 25 Most Epic Failures of 2012

Posted by Graham 'GSM' Matthews On December - 28 - 2012
Throughout the course of 2012, we've borne witness to some of the most memorable moments in WWE history, including Brock Lesnar's shocking return, CM Punk's epic heel turn on Raw 1,000 and Dolph Ziggler capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase. All in all, I personally believe that the year of 2012 has overall been one of the better years in recent WWE history, despite much speculation from numerous members of the IWC.However, 2012 has had its share of moments that most of us would like to instead forget, or rather have forgotten already, due to that moment's minimal significance or ...

The Christmas Eve ratings for Monday Night Raw are in and they're not good at all. Actually, Raw drew the lowest rating in 15 years!According to Daniel Pena of LordsofPain.net:Monday's Christmas-themed episode of Raw featuring John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight and a Santa Claus injury angle drew a 2.2 cable rating, which marks as the show's lowest rating of 2012 and in over 15 years. The last episode to draw a figure that low was the September 8, 1997 show, which featured Triple H vs. Savio Vega vs. The Patriot in the main event.Let's ...

WWE: How WrestleMania Is Killing the Future of WWE

Posted by Joe Johnson On December - 28 - 2012
Royal Rumble is just a few weeks away. That means we’re that close to officially setting off Road to WrestleMania, which will bring us—what we hope—is the best three months of the wrestling calendar. We think about WrestleMania, the company’s super card, all year round. I should know, most of my posts on BR are fantasy booked WM cards.  This year, I’ll be in attendance for the Grand Daddy of Them All. It’s going to be my first WrestleMania experience and despite my general frustration with the current product, it won’t dampen my enjoyment of the show.  This being said, ...

Power Ranking the 10 Greatest WWE Venues in the World

Posted by Mike Chiari On December - 28 - 2012
The WWE has countless fans across the world and has the opportunity to perform in many different arenas and stadiums in front of them on a daily basis. While every fan and every venue is special for one reason or another, there is no question that some simply tend to stand above the rest.Since the WWE has such a long and storied history, it also has quite a large sample size when it comes to venues. Some have been part of the WWE's fabric since the very beginning, while others haven't become relevant until recently, but there is something that ...

WWE: 5 Pro Wrestlers Who Should Be World Champion in 2013

Posted by Aaron Gales On December - 28 - 2012
The year 2012 has been the year of the long World Title reign.CM Punk's time as WWE Champion now spans over 400 days, and the World Heavyweight Championship has only been held by Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and the Big Show in 2012. In 2013, I believe this will be very different and belts change hands on more than one occasion with WWE looking to build the careers of some of their most promising and already established talent. I have identified five wrestlers who should be given a run with the championship gold in 2013.Most of these wrestlers have already held a ...

7 Pointless World Title Reigns from the Last Decade

Posted by Daniel Van Boom On December - 28 - 2012
It’s been said that Triple H is high on long title reigns, so it’s possible that CM Punk’s mind-boggling 400-plus day run as WWE champion may be a sign of change in the WWE. Even though Punk has been overshadowed by John Cena throughout much of his reign, he’s done some terrific things as WWE Champion and in doing so, he has brought some prestige back to the title. While the Attitude Era did wonders for the business, the WWF Championship was hot potatoed so much from 1998-2001 that it lost some of its value. Things cooled off a ...
A wrestler can’t have a great year every year. Even the all-time greats can be mediocre from time to time.Hulk Hogan had a couple of lousy years before he turned into “Hollywood,” and Steve Austin had some uninspired ones after his peak too. The year of 2012 was no exception for the WWE roster. Some guys didn’t live up to their potential, and a few saw their popularity begin to fall. Others just suffered from horribly booking, which had them spinning their wheels for months. This is a list of the 10 most disappointing WWE wrestlers of the year, and here’s ...
