Now that the final episode of Raw before WrestleMania 29 is over, it is clear that the WWE used its go-home show to add suspense to all of the top matches while spicing up some of the undercard bouts the casual fans didn’t care about. While Monday’s Raw wasn’t the most exciting edition of the show, the purpose of this week’s go-home episode was solely to build toward WrestleMania. In that sense, the WWE handled the booking perfectly. The excitement for the company’s biggest pay-per-view of the year is through the roof. Not only did the WWE Universe get to see ...

Top 5 International Cities That Could Host a Future WrestleMania

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On April - 2 - 2013
Only twice in the history of WrestleMania has the event taken place outside the United States, and both times happened in Toronto, Ontario Canada.WrestleMania is a global attraction, and many places around the world could successfully host the event.WWE has only held a handful of pay-per-view events outside the U.S. over the years, but if they want to expand internationally more than they already have, they should consider certain locations for their various benefits. The odds of WrestleMania being held outside the U.S. or Canada anytime soon are pretty slim, but I think our international WWE fans can agree that there ...

CM Punk Deserves a Break After WrestleMania 29

Posted by Drake Oz On April - 2 - 2013
CM Punk apparently might be going away for a while after WrestleMania 29.  No, he isn’t retiring or leaving the WWE. But according to PWInsider.com (via WrestlingInc.com), he’s not expected to work any live events after the WWE’s biggest pay-per-view of the year. Punk, of course, has not been working live events for the last couple of weeks. As PWInsider.com notes, he’s been taken off of house shows “so he can heal up and be fresh for the big match against The Undertaker.” But once WrestleMania wraps up, it’s unclear exactly what the plans for Punk will be. It looks ...

WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Match Results and Analysis for April 5

Posted by Mike Chiari On April - 2 - 2013
With WrestleMania XXIX set to take place on Sunday, the WWE decided to do things a bit differently this week when it came to SmackDown. Rather than taping it on Tuesday, SmackDown was actually taped prior to Raw on Monday night in Washington, D.C. Since there wasn't enough time to tape an entire episode of SmackDown prior to Raw, the WWE simply staged two matches and one promo segment. The rest of the show will be taped throughout the week at WrestleMania Axxess and a handful of Axxess matches will be shown on SmackDown.Instead of going all out on the go-home ...
The WrestleMania 29 card certainly isn't the best one ever, but it's not as bad as many fans are making it out to be.Even though it reeks of rematches and predictability, the show is also giving some up-and-coming stars a golden opportunity, features a ton of star power, and will climax with a few matches that we're actually anticipating. Some matches, of course, are more appealing than others, but that depends largely upon who you ask. Although many fans may really want to see Ryback vs. Mark Henry, many other fans be dreading the thought of two big men facing each ...
As WrestleMania 29 continues to draw near, there are several underrated matches on the card that have a chance to steal the show on the WWE’s biggest stage. The depth of this WrestleMania card has relegated some of the top names in the company—Sheamus, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Ryback and others—to the midcard. That will result in several matches not receiving hype that have the potential to be the best of the night. All of the following bouts will make the midcard of this pay-per-view enjoyable, and each has the chance to be the match every WrestleMania observer walks away talking ...
WrestleMania XXIX has the chance to change the course of WWE for years to come. There is no event like WrestleMania at any point in the year. It's the night when even the most closeted WWE fan comes out to enjoy the Granddaddy of Them All.With Brock Lesnar and The Rock both on the card, there's a bit of a nostalgic feel to this year's WrestleMania. Fans are also treated to returns from Triple H and The Undertaker as well. While the build has been a bit underwhelming, there's nothing like sitting down and watching WrestleMania. You can't help but get caught ...
As is usually the case, WrestleMania XXIX is all about the main events. With star-studded bouts like The Rock vs. John Cena, The Undertaker vs. CM Punk and Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar on tap, it's very easy to look past some of the matches that are slated to go on earlier in the night. The WWE hasn't done a great job building the midcard feuds compared to the main event-level ones, but many of the performers involved are good enough to make up for the creative team's shortcomings. Many fans have been pretty critical of the WrestleMania XXIX card due ...
