CM Punk will be making his WWE return perhaps sooner than we expected, as Paul Heyman spoke on his behalf and agreed to a match with Chris Jericho.  The bout is due to take place at WWE’s upcoming Payback pay-per-view and while I do want to see him return, I can’t help but wonder exactly when he will once again cross paths with John Cena and the WWE Championship. We have not seen Punk since he left WWE to rest and heal his body.  He said very little the last time we saw him, only that he just didn’t know what ...

Fandango Must Win the Feud Against Chris Jericho

Posted by Sebastian Maldonado On May - 31 - 2013
Fandango must win the feud against Chris Jericho. Granted, the WWE is giving these two a break at this moment. Fandango will probably enter a feud with Wade Barrett and The Miz for the Intercontinental title. Chris Jericho will face CM Punk at the next WWE pay-per-view Payback. But should the WWE scrap this feud altogether? No. At this point, it just means they’re taking a break. Their pay-per-view matches are decent, as they established Fandango's potential as a great worker. Despite a few mistakes, these matches do a nice job showcasing Fandango. Jericho did his job at WrestleMania 29, ...

What Would It Take for Sin Cara to Earn a Renewed Push in WWE?

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On May - 30 - 2013
Sin Cara's WWE career so far has been a story of disappointment and it will take a making a major connection with the crowd to change that. The athletic dynamo was a huge success when he wrestled as Mistico in Mexico. He held several championships in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre including four tag titles and the World Welterweight Championship.  Titles don't tell the whole story, though, as Sin Cara was a huge draw in Mexico. His popularity was so great there that he had his own comic book.  How then is he so often dismissed by WWE fans and constantly ...

TNA’s Dixie Carter Teasing Big Free Agent Signing

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On May - 30 - 2013
Now, take this for what you will, but it seems that TNA may have landed what's being called a "big free agent." It should be noted, there really aren't any huge available names that are out there that would change TNA's landscape. However, there is also a chance that there is an impending WWE free agent that feels he/she will be better served working for TNA.Nonetheless, Carter seems very excited about this news and took to Twitter to inform the fans. And the ink is just drying on a BIG free agent that will rock #ImpactLIVE on @spiketv.Tune in & join ...

Worst Storylines in Wrestling History

Posted by Sharon Glencross On May - 30 - 2013
How do we judge what the worst storylines in wrestling history are?Well, wretched writing is one factor. How illogical was it? Was it embarrassing to watch? Is it still (not so) fondly remembered by fans to the point that it still gets brought up—and mocked—regularly? And did it have any redeeming features whatsoever? With all this in mind, let's examine and rank the absolute worst storylines ever.Hey, you have been warned...Begin Slideshow

Why Doesn’t the WWE’s Ruthless Aggression Era Get Any Respect?

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On May - 30 - 2013
The Ruthless Aggression Era gave us some of the greatest wrestling and stories in WWE history, but it is not as celebrated a period as it deserves to be. Nostalgic fans often think back to the days of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Mankind and The Undertaker helping WWE push past WCW in the ratings. In the current toned-down era, fans longing for the return of the Attitude Era fill comment boards and online wrestling forums. Where is the nostalgia for the Ruthless Aggression Era? The Attitude Era invaded the present in video game form in WWE 13. WWE ...

WWE Wrestlers Most in Need of New Entrance Music

Posted by Big Nasty On May - 30 - 2013
WWE theme songs are defining anthems that set the tone for the superstars they accompany. And while entrance songs may not be make or break, they can be game-changing in deciding whether a superstar gets over.  There are at least a handful of WWE superstars who could use an entrance theme makeover either due to their music getting stale or a much-needed change of pace from a currently generic sound.  Ryback has dropped his "Feed Me More" catchphrase from his entrance music.  But with the Ryback character currently in the “Ryback Rules” heel era, perhaps it’s time to overhaul his ...
I think the success of the 90-second Wyatt Family promo on RAW is foreshadowing the success these three new characters will have on WWE's main roster.Wrestling fans were buzzing about it on social media. The next day, two hours of my radio show were primarily occupied with callers wanting to talk about the Wyatt Family and their impending debut. The video had a creepy mysterious groove to it that resembled something out of the HBO show True Blood. It brought out emotion and interest––two ingredients that can make someone a lot of money in wrestling.Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick ...
