Report: Dolph Ziggler Returns at Live Event

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On June - 1 - 2013
Big news on the Dolph Ziggler front, as it appears the World champ is back on the road with the WWE. Saturday night "The Show-off" reportedly made his first appearance since suffering a concussion roughly three weeks ago. The reemergence happened during a WWE live event after AJ Lee lost her match against Divas champ Kaitlyn. According to a WrestlingInc.com reader, Ziggler's return went down like this: WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn defeated AJ Lee at tonight's live event. After the match, AJ just sat in the middle of the ring. Dolph Ziggler's music hit, and he came out to console ...

TNA Slammiversary Preview: Bully Ray Will Retain World Title

Posted by John Canton On June - 1 - 2013
This Sunday night, TNA Wrestling will be holding its Slammiversary pay-per-view event. Slammiversary marks 11 years since Total Nonstop Action began.I've been watching the company from the beginning, although there definitely times when I lost interest along the way. For the most part, I watch Impact weekly and do my best to keep up with the stories.Earlier this year, TNA eliminated eight live pay-per-view events. Of course, TNA says publicly that it was a positive because it will allow them to build up to the four pay-per-views in an even better way, but really it's an admission that the pay-per-view ...

On this week's WWE SmackDown, the members of the blue brand ended the month of May on a high note with a number of excellent matches and suspenseful story-line progression. In front of a hot Canadian crowd, this show continued the strong streak of enjoyable editions of the Friday night program as of late. Here, I will analyze each significant segment presented on the show. I will also provide a combination of predictions and wishful thinking about what I hope to see in the coming weeks. Kane w/Daniel Bryan def. WWE Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins w/WWE Tag Team Champion Roman ReignsGood ...
A week after Ryback proposed an ambulance match, John Cena countered with a Three Stages of Hell match, which Ryback accepted. The first fall will be a lumberjack match, the second a table match and the third an ambulance match. These types of matches, where Superstars need to pull out all of the stops to win, are booked to be the last match of a feud. However, this is what happens when WWE names a pay-per-view “Extreme Rules.” Looking back at previous years, Extreme Rules was used to escalate feuds, not start them. In 2010, ...
TNA’s Slammiversary pay-per-view is approaching fast, and the excitement surrounding the company’s second-largest show has wrestling fans from all walks of life ready for the non-stop action of Sunday’s event. The conversion to just four PPVs per year was the smart move by TNA, and the build to this show has been fitting of such a momentous event. With a main event featuring Sting vs. Bully Ray and a solid supporting card, this looks to be an exciting experience. Add in the time change for Impact Wrestling—moving to a 9 p.m. ET start time—and it will be imperative that Sunday’s show ...

The one thing I can say about the NWA/WCW and other wrestling promotions of the past is there was more balance when dealing with faces and heels. In the WWE, the balance of power has moved so far toward the heel, it is hard to see where the organization is headed. Now that Ryback has jumped toward the dark side and Curtis Axel is now the "next big thing" in this company, the WWE needs to decide what it is going to do with its "face" talent moving forward. That is also why John Cena cannot drop the WWE title to Ryback at ...
TNA Wrestling presents their 11th anniversary show Slammiversary, live on pay-per-view Sunday night! TNA first held Slammiversary in June 2003 as a one-hour special on PPV to celebrate the company’s one-year anniversary. On June 19, 2005, Slammiversary III became a three-hour event that saw Raven win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from AJ Styles, Abyss, Monty Brown and Sean Waltman in the debut of the King of the Mountain match.
