Ranking Mark Henry’s 10 Greatest Moments in His WWE Career

Posted by Seth M. Guttenplan On July - 2 - 2013
Mark Henry has accomplished a great deal in his 17-year career in the WWE, including world titles, being a member of one of the most notorious factions of the Attitude Era and, of course, being the father to a hand. Most recently, Henry shocked WWE fans around the world with his fake retirement speech. The World’s Strongest Man delivered the World’s Strongest Swerve. Where does this moment rank among Henry’s greatest as a WWE Superstar? Here I will break down Henry’s top moments and you will see how most of his accomplishments came during the later part of his career. ...
Monday's WWE Raw was a night of teases and previews, not allowing fans to see the collisions between enemies that Money in the Bank will showcase. The WWE title Money in the Bank ladder-match entrants talked a lot of smack, but little violence was handed out. Mark Henry talked a lot about what he was going to do, but did very little. WWE chose to delay the violence for the upcoming pay-per-view. Instead, fans saw a glimpse into championship history, The Shield regain their footing and John Cena and Alberto Del Rio put on a show. There was the continued ...

The Shield Needs Viable Opponents to Remain Relevant

Posted by Sebastian Maldonado On July - 2 - 2013
The Shield needs viable opponents to remain relevant in WWE. This faction rose to the occasion since the trio's debut at last year’s Survivor Series. Dean Ambrose became the United States Champion, while Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns became the tag team champions. All three won their titles at Extreme Rules. Now, they need legitimate enemies to stay relevant. It makes sense for them, even though it’s a difficult task to find meaningful opponents. This is the same team that defeated World Champions in six-man tag matches. The Shield did have viable opponents at Payback. Ambrose successfully defended his title ...
It seems like WWE Payback just ended, but we are already only two weeks away from Money in the Bank. While the company has done a terrific job quickly building momentum and heavy interest for the important pay-per-view, there is still plenty of storyline development to be done in the coming days.On Monday night, Raw had all of that and more. There was buildup for the All-Stars ladder match, there was another wrinkle in the Paul Heyman-CM Punk-Curtis Axel feud and to end the night, there was a compelling champion versus champion match between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio. Let's take a ...
I’m BAAAAAAAAAAACK. After a brief hiatus from reviewing the show known as WWE Raw, I have returned to once again to bring knowledge to the masses. -Vickie Guerrero kicks us off and announces John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio…SMELL THE RATINGS! -After the intro, Daniel Bryan hits the ring to remind us he is not the weak link because Randy Orton tapped last week. Bryan drops some names of former world champions and wants to put himself in their class. He promises to be WWE champion but the worst babyface ever, Sheamus, ...
WWE Monday Night Raw, which aired live from Sioux City, Iowa, opened with Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero announcing the main event between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio.The Monday, July 1 edition of Raw got started with Daniel Bryan entering the ring. Bryan, who was standing in front of a ladder inside the ring, spoke confidently about his chances at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. As Bryan continued to speak about making history, Sheamus interrupted and walked towards the ring.Randy Orton walked out next towards and ring and spoke about his desire to capture the WWE championship belt. After ...

WWE Raw Live Results, Reaction and Analysis

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On July - 1 - 2013
Welcome to the Bleacher Report live coverage for Monday Night Raw.With Money in the Bank less than two weeks away, WWE will begin to solidify the rest of the card leading into the pay-per-view.We already have five matches set for the event, including the two MITB ladder matches, but there are plenty of other matches that could still be made.Curtis Axel and Miz will likely face off for the IC title, while Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns may end up defending their tag titles against The Usos. Will CM Punk and Curtis Axel be able to coexist?Who will win when the ...
The ongoing battle between power players on Raw appears to be spilling over to SmackDown. WrestlingInc.com reports that Booker T, SmackDown’s storyline general manager, is set to return from elbow surgery soon. When that happens, the growing tension between him and Teddy Long, his so-called senior adviser, is expected to build even more. It could get to the point where the relationship between the two top executives in SmackDown will come to a boil. If that sounds familiar, it’s because the exact same thing is being played out on Raw. Except with Raw, there is the potential for more drama, ...

Zack Ryder Would Be Better Suited in a Tag Team Role

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On July - 1 - 2013
Zack Ryder is too talented for WWE to just release him, but he's not well-rounded enough to stand on his own. The self-proclaimed "Internet Champion" is on a losing streak that would make the Houston Astros blush. Ryder has since taken to Twitter to complain about his position with the company several times over. While some may not feel that playing the squeaky wheel is the best route for Ryder to get a push, his frustrations are understandable. He feels that he's better than a jobber, and he's right. Ryder, though, is no future world champion either. His skills would be ...

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes: Thoughts on a Rhodes vs. Colter Feud

Posted by Tyson Jones On July - 1 - 2013
WWE Superstars Cody Rhodes, Antonio Cesaro and Zeb Colter are all pretty much directionless. Rhodes has been reduced to a high-class jobber, Cesaro does nothing but squash Sin Cara and Zeb...well, Zeb is still actually pretty good at what he does. With that said, I sometimes wonder why it is WWE doesn't do the obvious thing anymore.Granted, a swerve is nice every so often (the recent one pulled by Impact Wrestling for example). Still, when the most obvious route is there, and you're not doing anything else, what's wrong with taking it?Honestly, something has got to give on Creative sooner ...
