WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners and Losers After 7/29/13

Posted by Bill Pivetz On July - 30 - 2013
Another episode of Raw down, which means we are one more week closer to SummerSlam. There was a lot of action that took place on the July 29 episode, including two Divas’ matches. Let’s rewind the clock to Raw and take a look back at who came out at the biggest winners and losers.   Daniel Bryan—Winner Daniel Bryan was featured a lot throughout the show. He was in the opening segment, in a verbal exchange with Mr. McMahon. He then defeated his former partner, Kane, in a great match. Finally, after John Cena defeated Ryback, he came out and stared down Cena as ...
SummerSlam 2013 has a chance to catapult WWE's rising stars and showcase its veterans. An intriguing WWE title match between John Cena and Daniel Bryan, along with a battle between CM Punk and Brock Lesnar top the card. The World Heavyweight Championship match will be set up on Friday's SmackDown. With the rest of the pay-per-view's lineup, stories of broken friendships, revenge and championship pursuits are at WWE's disposal. Here are five matches that would greatly improve the event, starting with a battle for the tag team championship.Begin Slideshow
Pardon the cheesy headline. But it's true, the tentative SummerSlam matchup between former World Heavyweight champion Dolph Ziggler and former NXT champion—and Ziggler confidant—Big E. Langston will surprise many watching the pay-per-view come Sunday, August 18. WWE is effectively attempting to raise the importance of all its talent during the summer, which is why you have Daniel Bryan, one of the most popular Superstars who had been aimlessly wandering the tag team division, going against the most polarizing Superstar in the WWE, John Cena. The same goes for the feud between Cody Rhodes and former tag team partner—now Money in the ...

Chyna Being Selected to the WWE Hall of Fame Is the Right Decision

Posted by David Levin On July - 30 - 2013
Hulk Hogan was a known steroid abuser. Kerry Von Erich was a drug addict and Roddy Piper had been known to enjoy recreational drugs. All three of their lives outside the ring and inside for that matter have been chronicled by media and books (To Be The Man, Hollywood Hulk Hogan) and yet they still have a place in the WWE Hall of Fame. If these three greats of the business, superstars who made wrestling millions of dollars and were lauded over by fans worldwide, are touted as the “best of the best,” then what is the huge deal with Chyna ...

Power Ranking John Cena’s SummerSlam Appearances

Posted by Erik Beaston On July - 30 - 2013
On August 18, John Cena will enter the Staples Center in Los Angeles to defend his WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan in what is rapidly becoming one of the most anticipated matches of the entire year. Much pressure will be put on Cena's shoulders to deliver a phenomenal main event considering the level of in-ring worker from whom he will stand across the squared circle. It will not be the first time that pressure has been placed on the current champion's massive shoulders. Over the course of nine years, Cena has been counted on to deliver in some of the highest ...

WWE Raw Results: Top OMG and WTF Moments from July 29

Posted by Anthony Mango On July - 30 - 2013
This week's episode of Monday Night Raw was pretaped, which would make you think WWE had the time to work out all the kinks, although that wasn't necessarily the case. While some moments were certainly good, an overwhelming sense of mediocre filler plagued the show and really took away from what could have been a much better product. What exactly worked and what didn't? It's time to look at the OMG and WTF moments of the latest edition of Raw.Begin Slideshow

Complete Report Card and Analysis Following WWE Raw for July 29

This edition of Raw was apparently pre-taped as the crew tours Australia, Asia and South Africa. If you're the type to read the dirt sheets you already knew exactly what was going to happen. You could have probably amazed friends and family if they weren't smartened up, predicting exactly what was going to happen throughout the night. That might have been fun! Me? I'm not a big fan of spoilers. I don't want to know what's going to happen—it's still real to me dang it. The big story Monday night was the Daniel Bryan era entering its second week. Could the newly minted ...
Although this Monday's episode of Raw was pre-taped, there was still quite a bit of intrigue and anticipation heading into the night. Even for those who already cracked and read the spoilers, the opportunity to see The Shield vs. Mark Henry and The Usos, Rob Van Dam vs. Fandango, Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian and Daniel Bryan vs. Kane was undoubtedly alluring. That is some world-class in-ring talent right there.  Throw in John Cena vs. Ryback in a tables match, appearances from CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow and the prospect of a potential Wyatt family appearance, and it was ...

WWE Monday Night Raw: Cena and Ryback in a Tables Match, SummerSlam Hype

Posted by Daniel Peragine On July - 29 - 2013
The Monday, July 29 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, which was taped from Laredo, Texas, opened with a video package recapping last week's show centered around Daniel Bryan and John Cena. WWE chairman Vince McMahon and general manager Brad Maddox kicked things off on Raw by being introduced to the ring. Maddox spoke first, apologizing for his decision to let Cena choose his own opponent at the SummerSlam pay-per-view.  Bryan came out to the ring and quickly turned his attention to McMahon. McMahon asked Bryan if he respected Cena and accused the WWE champion of manipulating others and being a liar. ...

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On July - 29 - 2013
Triple H, once known for smashing his foes with a sledgehammer, has moved to shaping and carving out WWE's future. Though he plays Chief Operation Officer on TV, his real-life title is that of Executive Vice President of Talent and Live Events. If Triple H continues to make the advances and have the success he's had in his corporate role thus far, he may join the Hall of Fame as both a performer and an executive. His qualifications for the job include 20 years as a pro wrestler and an intense love for the industry. Rather than step away from WWE and enjoy ...
