Triple H’s Reign over WWE Will End in a Superstar-Led Revolution

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On August - 27 - 2013
Triple H smacked the roster on Monday's WWE Raw with his iron fist. There were no repercussions, but retribution awaits him. WWE has cast Triple H as a despot and the company's Superstars as his silent citizens. The King of Kings can expect an irate Bryan charging at him, but also a coup led by the men he is pushing around. After hitting Bryan with a pedigree at SummerSlam to allow Randy Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, Triple H has slipped back into his snake skin. He instantly became WWE's top heel and has since tightened his ...

WWE Interested in Top International Star Prince Devitt

Posted by Joe Johnson On August - 27 - 2013
For years, Prince Devitt has entertained crowds by the thousands across Japan. The three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion has been a fixture in New Japan, and after much international acclaim, has caught the eye of Triple H and the WWE. According to PWInsider (h/t WrestleZone), it was William Regal who brought Devitt to Triple H's attention. When the company decided to sign NXT superstar Adrian Neville (formerly PAC) to a contract, it was the young Brit's match against Devitt that won over Triple H.  Ever since seeing that match, Triple H has kept Devitt on his short list and the WWE is ...

WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners and Losers After 8/26/13

Posted by Bill Pivetz On August - 27 - 2013
The August 26 edition of Monday Night Raw was the first full episode without John Cena, who is recovering from triceps surgery. The show began and ended with Triple H, Randy Orton, The Shield and Daniel Bryan. It wasn't the best episode, but there was more good than bad. Let's look back at Monday's Raw and find out who were the biggest winners and losers.   Daniel Bryan: Winner The former WWE champion was featured all over the show, like a No. 1 babyface should. He was determined to win back the title, vandalized Randy Orton's car and stepped up to face the gauntlet. He defeated ...
The last episode of Monday Night Raw in Aug. 2013 was a good one. The Triple H dictatorship was further established, and in turn, so too was the rapidly building love affair with Daniel Bryan and the WWE Universe. With all the love Bryan is getting, it makes me wonder how long it will be before snarky WWE fans hate him like they hate John Cena. At any rate, Bryan is clearly the most beloved face in the business right now. His mic work is actually getting better, but it is still leagues behind his impressive in-ring capabilities. His performance between ...
Every WWE pay-per-view is naturally structured so the primary focal points are the main events. After all, these are the so-called "money matches," so it only makes sense. But that does not mean the rest of the card cannot get a chance to shine as well. In fact, the undercard is frequently better on a pay-per-view like Night of Champions than it is on other events due to the inclusion of every title being defended. On many pay-per-views, the United States Championship or Intercontinental Championship might fall by the wayside, or a Divas title defense might be nothing but an afterthought. But Night of Champions ...

Power Ranking the 5 Best and 5 Worst Talkers in WWE

Posted by David Bixenspan On August - 27 - 2013
Right now, WWE may be at its all-time, in-ring peak.  They're on a great run of consecutive quality pay-per-view events, lots of quality matches on free TV each week, and so on. Out of the ring, things have improved as well: When I was putting this list together, I realized that finding definitive "worst" picks would be much harder than I expected since there are so few outright terrible talkers getting time in WWE anymore.  Narrowing down the "best" list also proved more difficult than anticipated, and came down to a matter of personal preference as far as one's view of ...

Could The Miz Revive His WWE Career as Part of the Corporate Angle?

Posted by David Levin On August - 27 - 2013
While the WWE is doing a good job of making Wade Barrett a part of The Corporation (I like to think of him as "Jobber to the Stars"), would it be wise to make other members of the company roster a part of this angle in an effort to revive careers or make mid card wrestlers more marketable. Monday night notwithstanding, The Miz could make some headway in getting over not only with the fans as a true face but also as one of the WWE’s best marketing tools now that John Cena is gone. It would be wise for the company ...
Night of Champions started as a gimmick pay-per-view that would finally highlight all of the titles in the company, but that has changed. Over the past few years, several championships have been retired or merged together. Now that we are down to only six titles across the board, the event needs to be filled with some non-title matches as well. So what are some of the matches that we could see this year that don't involve a championship in some fashion? It's time to break down the non-title feuds going on right now that should find their way onto the card.Begin Slideshow
Monday's WWE Raw showed us why it's a thrilling time to be a fan. The Daniel Bryan and Triple H angle has made Monday nights special as the company seems to be on the verge of something great with this storyline. Triple H has thrived as the fearsome despot ruling WWE; Bryan is emerging as the people's hero. Beyond that, Monday night cemented The Shield's status as the WWE equivalent to Jabba the Hut's pit monster. They are the creatures one sics on the defiant and disobedient in order to destroy them. The Night of Champions card filled out some with Alberto Del ...

WWE Raw: Live Results, Reaction and Analysis for August 26

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On August - 26 - 2013
Welcome to the Bleacher Report live WWE Monday Night Raw coverage for August 26. Night of Champions is only three weeks away, and with only one bout in place so far, you can expect WWE to start laying the groundwork for more matches and feuds. Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton will be facing off for the WWE title at NOC after Orton successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Bryan following Bryan's WWE title win over John Cena. After RVD and Ricardo Rodriguez joined forces, it became pretty clear that this would be the next World title feud, but what ...
