Biggest Lessons Learned from Feb. 24 Edition of Raw

Posted by Aaron Bower On February - 25 - 2014
The Feb. 24 edition of Raw was a pretty big one—after all, it was the launch of the WWE Network. We had two or three huge returns—more on those later—and we all of a sudden have some huge momentum going into WrestleMania XXX. The big return was Hulk Hogan, who is back to guest host WrestleMania this time around. He drew a huge reaction from the crowd, and it is great to see him back. The rest of Raw featured some pretty decent matches throughout, and some more intriguing storyline development heading towards Mania. So, let's take a look at the biggest lessons we ...

Report: John Cena Not Legitimately Injured on Raw

Posted by Imaan Jalali On February - 25 - 2014
Despite belief to the contrary, John Cena did not legitimately injure his knee during a scuffle with The Wyatt Family on the February 24 edition of Raw. The injury was initially believed to have occurred when Erick Rowan, the red-bearded member of The Wyatts, landed awkwardly on Cena's left knee. It seemed as if something had gone awry because the melee was then punctuated with pauses, whereby Cena was seen clutching his knee on the apron while communicating with a ringside medic. Subsequently, as the television audience saw, Cena was then removed from the ring on a stretcher—a story that was followed up ...

WWE Raw Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from Feb. 24

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On February - 25 - 2014
WrestleMania XXX took shape early as the Feb. 24 WWE Raw saw Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan and Undertaker step onto center stage. Bray Wyatt left John Cena unable to stand, Daniel Bryan challenged Triple H and Undertaker's match at "The Show of Shows" was signed with a chokeslam. Hogan, the host of this year's WrestleMania, returned to WWE. Undertaker eventually followed him. Fans of the "WWE title match or bust" mentality for Bryan had reason to curse at the TV. WWE is clearly going in a non-championship direction for him and is seemingly unsure how to sell Batista vs. Randy Orton to an audience ...
If it wasn't already apparent that WrestleMania season is upon us, it became abundantly clear tonight when The Undertaker made his yearly return to WWE. In the final segment of Monday's episode, the Dead Man made his triumphant return. The WWE Twitter account welcomed him back: He entered the ring and engaged in a stare-down with Brock Lesnar. After Lesnar's manager Paul Heyman asked him to sign a contract to face his client at WrestleMania XXX, Undertaker promptly threw Lesnar through a table. Wrestlezone.com sums up the scene:  It's important to note that the Undertaker never officially signed the contract, but it's hard ...

Report: Cena Legitimately Injured During Raw?

Posted by Sharon Glencross On February - 24 - 2014
John Cena left the ring on a stretcher on Monday's Raw following a heated exchange with the Wyatt Family, apparently having suffered some sort of injury to his knee. The company later posted footage on video service Tout of an ailing Cena being attended to by paramedics, put up a rather vague-sounding article mentioning "swelling" and stating that the star was due to get an MRI. Initial suspicions were that this was some sort of an angle to promo the upcoming Wyatt-Cena feud. And it would hardly be the first time WWE pulled off something like this. However, per PWInsider (via WrestlingInc), the ...

John Cena Injury: Updates on WWE Star’s Knee and Return

Posted by Tim Keeney On February - 24 - 2014
During a segment with the Wyatt Family on Monday night, John Cena appeared to suffer a legitimate knee injury.  As Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked Cena, he appeared to suffer some sort of injury when Rowan took him down awkwardly. Cena hobbled around before being tended to by a trainer and was eventually taken out on a stretcher and into an ambulance, as the WWE Twitter feed gave us a look: The fact that the injury and ambulance trip were both played up by the announcers may suggest that it was kayfabe, but Richard Gray of Wrestling News World reported that it ...

Hulk Hogan Returns to WWE Programming During Monday Night Raw

Posted by Mike Chiari On February - 24 - 2014
After more than six years away from WWE, "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan is officially back with the company that facilitated his meteoric rise three decades ago. Hogan appeared at the very beginning of Monday's episode of Raw in a move that was announced on Feb. 21. The WWE's Twitter account welcomed him back with a YouTube video of his entrance song: According to WWE.com, Hogan's first official role with the company will be hosting WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans. WWE shared a photo of Hogan arriving with Jimmy Hart on its Instagram account: Hogan is arguably the most popular and recognizable figure in the history ...

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live WWE Monday Night Raw coverage for Feb. 24. The Elimination Chamber is in our rearview mirror, and now we are on the final stretch before WrestleMania XXX. Today is the big launch of the WWE Network, and it would appear a lot of people are having issues logging in due to heavy traffic. I know I am. But we still have Raw, and this is going to be a big one. Many rumors have been circulating about who will be in attendance, and hopefully some of them end up being true. The Chamber pay-per-view had a lot of ups and ...

Elimination Chamber Review: Bray Wyatt, Titus O’Neil Impress but No Lesnar

Posted by Andrew Doughty On February - 24 - 2014
I was fortunate enough to attend WWE’s Elimination Chamber event on Sunday night. It was the first pay-per-view held in Minnesota since Bragging Rights in 2010, and the atmosphere was outstanding, with echoes of the “Yes!” chants raining through the streets of downtown Minneapolis throughout the night. Here are a few takeaways from the event and thoughts on the dwindling road to WrestleMania. Bray WyattI’ve never been as wrong about a wrestler as I was about Bray. The guy is phenomenal. When WWE began airing the Wyatt Family “home videos” last year to introduce the new characters, I thought they were doomed ...

WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 Results: GSM’s Analysis and Aftermath

On Sunday night, WWE presented its fifth annual Elimination Chamber pay-per-view live from the Target Center in Minneapolis. It was the final pit stop on the road to WrestleMania 30, setting the stage for one of the company's biggest spectacles of the year. The main event saw Randy Orton escape the Elimination Chamber with his WWE World Heavyweight Championship after overcoming five of WWE's finest competitors, but not without controversy. Will Kane's interference at the end of the contest lead to Daniel Bryan getting another shot at the title? The Wyatt Family and The Shield went to war with each other in ...
