WWE Power Rankings 3/3/2014

Posted by Alex Musso On March - 3 - 2014
The week after WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 was certainly eventful.  Undertaker and Brock Lesnar returned, Batista told the WWE Universe what he really thought, and Daniel Bryan finally challenged Triple H to a match.   We also saw the first NXT Arrival air live on the WWE Network.  While some people had technical issues watching the show, it was an excellent way to introduce what I believe was WWE's best show of the week.  But that's neither here nor there. Before we get into this week's rankings, here's how they work. Holding a championship, being No. 1 contender or having a Money in the Bank briefcase ...
All good things must come to an end, and in WWE, several of those things may culminate in WrestleMania matches. WWE has gone all in on the split formula, and given tension teased among many alliances, WrestleMania XXX more closely resembles WWE's In Your House pay-per-view Good Friends, Better Enemies. Potential breakups are all the rage, and this very standard angle figures to be a focal point of WWE programming. Elimination Chamber already saw Titus O'Neil defeat former tag team partner Darren Young in a foreshadowing of what's to come in April. By then, The Shield, in all likelihood, will be disbanded. The once-dominant ...

WWE SmackDown Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from February 28

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On March - 2 - 2014
Every week here on Bleacher Report, I take an in-depth look at SmackDown, recapping all of the action, offering analysis and grading the matches, segments and anything else that takes place on the show. I also provide some predictions on the direction of storylines. This week featured the first pre- and post-shows for SmackDown, but other than that it was largely the same old SmackDown. Plenty of storyline development occurred, but none of the matches stood out among the rest. If you missed this week's show, you didn't miss much. Let's get right into the show with Batista and Dolph Ziggler's confrontation.Begin Slideshow

Dolph Ziggler Lashes out Against WWE on Twitter

Posted by Sharon Glencross On March - 1 - 2014
Dolph Ziggler has taken to Twitter to slam the company. But is it real or a work? Following the airing of his match against Batista on SmackDown—“The Showoff” lost, of course—an irritated Ziggler took to his official Twitter account to complain about the company's production team apparently editing out the live chants for him: So, there are two options here. It could be real. Certainly, if Ziggler is genuinely frustrated with management, he has every right to be. Despite being one of the best workers on the roster—he even managed to make Batista look like a million bucks on SmackDown—the 33-year-old has fallen far ...

John Cena Injury: Updates on WWE Star’s Groin and Return

Posted by Chris Roling On March - 1 - 2014
It turns out WWE superstar John Cena is injured as a result of his confrontation with the members of the Wyatt Family on the Feb. 24 edition of Raw. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the injury angle that saw Cena favor his knee before leaving in an ambulance was scripted—but he also tore his groin in the process. The injury was apparent at a house show: While the injury angle on Raw was planned, John Cena did suffer a groin tear during the angle on Monday. Cena gutted through a house show match last night in North Charleston, SC against Randy Orton ...

WWE Changing Randy Orton vs. Dave Batista Match at WrestleMania XXX Soon?

Posted by Sharon Glencross On March - 1 - 2014
Is WWE on the verge of altering its WWE World Heavyweight Championship at next month's WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view? Well, one report indicates that it might be. As Bryan Alvarez notes in this week’s (subscribers-only) F4W Newsletter: "The latest WrestleMania lineup we got lists the world title match a 'Batista vs Orton vs ?,' which allows for the possibility that Daniel Bryan could get into the match somehow, such as by beating Triple H or being added by Hulk Hogan." Alvarez also takes time to mention that Christian vs. Sheamus and Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes are other rumoured matches for the event. No doubt the ...
