Whether WWE goes with the expected happy ending to WrestleMania 30 or shocks fans with a major swerve, Randy Orton fans won't be happy with how the main event unfolds. Daniel Bryan, Triple H and Batista have better chances of leaving the Superdome with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The stories involving those superstars would tell superior stories to Orton retaining, forcing "The Viper" to watch another man hoist his titles. WrestleMania's biggest match is sure to create a massive moment. Will it be the one Bryan's supporters have been longing for or is there a surprise in the works? The following is ...

Cody Rhodes and Goldust Are Being Wasted in Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30

Posted by Graham GSM Matthews On March - 24 - 2014
On the March 10 edition of Raw, Hulk Hogan announced an Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal for WrestleMania 30. The Battle Royal will feature 30 Superstars vying for the coveted Andre the Giant trophy. The match participants will include the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Mark Henry and others. Interestingly enough, all of these individuals were contending for world championships last year and now find themselves in a randomly thrown-together Battle Royal. No disrespect to Andre the Giant, but it is the obligatory "get everyone on the card" match that we seem to get every year at ...
Our long national nightmare is over, as a stolen wrestling shoe belonging to Hulk Hogan was returned to the Clearwater, Fla., store from which it was taken. According to the Associated Press (via ABCNews.com), the perpetrator was a female tourist from Michigan. She called Hogan's store in Clearwater on Thursday, informing an employee that she wished to return the shoe: According to Clearwater police, the woman says she "had done a stupid thing." Though she had returned to Michigan, she had left the shoe behind and arranged for three people she met while in Clearwater to return it to the store. No charges ...

Posted by Graham GSM Matthews On March - 22 - 2014
It was another wild week in the WWE, with the road to WrestleMania 30 heating up and more matches being confirmed for the event. From the stellar segment that closed Raw to the shocking face turn of The Shield, it's an exciting time to be a wrestling fan right now. Triple H announced on Monday night that the winner of his match against Daniel Bryan will be entered into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania. Now that the complexion of the contest has completely changed, how will Bryan overcome the odds to win back the prestigious prize? On Tuesday night's ...
We saw on Raw this past week that The Shield turned babyface at long last after serving up a vicious beating on Kane. It looks like the explosive trio are now set to work a program with the Director of Operations at WrestleMania XXX in order to cement their turn and become the top face stable in the company. That has raised the possibility of The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family being resurrected after the completion of WrestleMania season, which would be another great spectacle. However, despite their lifespan as a trio seemingly extended because of this turn, it seems that the Hounds ...
Brock Lesnar burst onto the scene in WWE in March of 2002 and moments after he delivered his first F-5, it was clear the company's landscape was about to change. Lesnar went on to have one of the best rookie years ever. With Paul Heyman by his side. Lesnar entered the 2002 King of the Ring tournament and defeated the likes of Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T and Test before facing Rob Van Dam in the finals. Lesnar went on to win that match to become King of the Ring. The tournament victory would help launch Brock into a program with The Rock ...

The Good, the Great and the Awesome from SmackDown (3/21/14)

Posted by Erik Beaston On March - 22 - 2014
With only two weeks until WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, Friday Night SmackDown rolled through Houston and the Toyota Center for an action-packed show headlined by John Cena vs. Luke Harper. Monday night on Raw, Cena admitted his fear for Bray Wyatt, to the surprise of many. Would that fear adversely affect him as he took on the massive Harper in SmackDown's main event? Fans would get their answer, as Cena withstood the assault of his larger opponent, including a running head scissors, and planted him with an Attitude Adjustment for the pinfall victory. Just days after suffering a triple powerbomb from The ...

WWE rolled out a brilliant video package, featuring the song Legacy by Eminem, highlighting the feud between Bray Wyatt and John Cena. John Cena comes with a rich WrestleMania history as WWE’s top star. Compared to years past, however, his match against surging midcarder Bray Wyatt is underwhelming on paper. On the contrary, considering what this match could mean for both superstars long term, it may end up being one of the most important WrestleMania matches of John Cena’s career. Cena has spent the past several weeks admitting his mortality. He sees the young, hungry up-and-coming talent and realizes their potential. While addressing ...

WWE SmackDown Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from March 21

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On March - 22 - 2014
Every week on Bleacher Report, I take an in-depth look at SmackDown to recap the action, offer analysis and grade the matches, segments and anything else that takes place on the show. I also provide some predictions on the direction of storylines. This week's SmackDown was average for the most part, but a couple of moments definitely stood out. The Shield were finally on the receiving end of a gangland-style beating for once, Luke Harper looked extremely impressive against John Cena and Dolph Ziggler got another win. Bray Wyatt delivered another one of his classic promos, but this time we got to hear from Luke ...
