WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from September 29

Posted by Erik Beaston On September - 30 - 2014
Only weeks away from Hell in a Cell 2014, WWE delivered an episode of Monday Night Raw that started hot, bogged down in the middle significantly and then picked up just in time to leave a lasting impression on fans. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were the focal points of this week's show, starring at the beginning, middle and end of the broadcast. Their rivalry has been one of the highlights of the company over the last four months, and Monday night was yet another chapter in their story. Alicia Fox returned to Raw and was immediately thrown into the midst of ...

WWE Raw Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from September 29

Posted by Erik Beaston On September - 30 - 2014
The last episode of Raw for September 2014 is in the books, and in its wake, it has left an Authority seemingly stronger than ever, a rebellious young star making the most of his increased spotlight, a John Cena still determined to win back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and a Brock Lesnar caught in the middle of a war between good and evil. Dolph Ziggler continued to add to the legacy of the Intercontinental Championship by defeating The Miz and Cesaro in a Triple Threat Match. AJ Lee found herself on the receiving end of a beatdown, courtesy of Alicia Fox ...

Bray Wyatt Teases Feud with Sting on Twitter?

Posted by Sharon Glencross On September - 29 - 2014
Could Bray Wyatt be heading for a feud with wrestling icon Sting soon? Interestingly, the star seemed to be teasing the possibility to fans in a tweet posted on his official account Monday afternoon. In a message virtually guaranteed to get everyone talking, Wyatt cryptically wrote: Scorpions, of course, conjure up images of the WCW legend, something Wyatt and WWE are undoubtedly aware of. A potential Wyatt-Sting feud is an intriguing possibility. Wyatt has undeniably lost some steam over the last few months. While his long-running program with John Cena in the spring and summer should have helped the former NXT star become a ...

Latest News and Rumors Surrounding WWE 2K15 for Sept. 29

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On September - 29 - 2014
The WWE 2K15 series is set to welcome NXT in a big way. Fans suspected that WWE developmental would play a part in the upcoming video game when IGN revealed that it would feature a career mode. Then came the reported leaked achievement list from Exophase, which hinted at plenty of NXT involvement.  There are still many questions to be answered, but fans now have official word on a number of NXT stars who will be in the game. After the first official gameplay trailer launched last week, there has been little additional info on WWE 2K15. Another hands-on look and leaked gameplay footage from an early build ...

WWE Raw: Live Results, Reaction and Analysis for September 29

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On September - 29 - 2014
Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE Raw for Sept. 29. There are a lot of different storylines to be addressed on Monday night, and with three hours to do it, WWE should have plenty of time to cover everything. Hell in a Cell is still four weeks away, which gives Vince McMahon and company plenty of time to decide which matches to fill up the card with, but a few of the eventual encounters seem pretty obvious at this point. With Dean Ambrose still making life difficult for Seth Rollins, Mr. Money in the Bank will probably be looking for some way ...

Dean Ambrose Should Defeat Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell

Posted by Sharon Glencross On September - 29 - 2014
At Hell in a Cell next month, WWE's bookers should absolutely script Dean Ambrose to defeat long-term nemesis Seth Rollins in their inevitable showdown. For one thing, Ambrose needs a solid win over his former team-mate. Having lost to Rollins at SummerSlam and then violently taken out by him on the following night's Raw in their Falls Count Anywhere match, it's time for the star to finally get some much deserved revenge. Crucially, a victory at Hell in a Cell would hugely aid Ambrose's credibility as he attempts to climb to the top of the card. WWE clearly has something in Ambrose. With his ...

WWE Is Not Taking Xavier Woods-Led Stable Seriously Enough

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On September - 29 - 2014
WWE forged a great weapon in the form of Xavier Woods leading a group of frustrated wrestlers but has since left it to rust outside. A great opportunity to better utilize Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E is being wasted. After a slight push a while back, the group has mostly disappeared. It has still performed together on house shows, but WWE is hemming and hawing too much with the outfit, not making it enough of a priority. Woods had quickly become a bottom-feeder after moving up from NXT. He was often the first man thrown out of Battle Royals and had ...

Comparing Dean Ambrose to WWE’s Past Anti-Heroes

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On September - 29 - 2014
The WWE anti-hero lineage continues with Dean Ambrose. In the company's history there have been numerous examples of clean-cut, righteous and traditional hero characters. Ambrose is not one of them. He instead shares kinship with men like Roddy Piper, Steve Austin and CM Punk, departures from good-guy norms. WWE is still home to straight-laced heroes, John Cena being the most obvious example, but its recent history has seen a number of edgier men with looser moral codes. Ambrose follows the tradition that Punk most recently carried: You root for him, you cheer for him, but he's not to be trusted. He's more Han Solo than ...

Hell in a Cell 2014: Titles Most Likely to Change Hands at Event

Posted by Sharon Glencross On September - 29 - 2014
At Hell in a Cell next month, fans should expect a few WWE belts to change hands as the company shakes things up heading into the winter. AJ Lee, of course, won the Divas Championship in her Triple Threat match with Paige and Nikki Bella at Night of Champions. While Lee is a perfectly fine women's wrestler and a terrific personality, she's held the belt so much over the past 18 months that it's difficult for people to care anymore. Besides, Paige was hitting her stride as the villainous Divas champion. She had turned into one of the most entertaining parts of the ...

WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for Sept. 29

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On September - 29 - 2014
The slow road to Hell in a Cell continues on the Sept. 29 edition of WWE Raw. Rivalries continue to intensify and challengers are set to demand their shots and gold, all without Chicago's favorite son or the world heavyweight champion. WWE visits the Allstate Arena in Chicago once again, promising to at least begin to shape the upcoming pay-per-view. It's unclear who will be in pursuit of Goldust and Stardust's cosmic key. Fans also don't know how much more NXT/WWE overlap they will see or what the company has in mind for John Cena. Monday's Raw should answer some of those questions. It's a show ...
