Dipping into a palette that included splintered tables, the clang of steel chairs and seething hatred, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins painted a violent masterpiece inside the Hell in a Cell. In a gimmick match that has lost much of its potency in the PG era, those men showed just how to maximize the steel structure. Their performance gives fans hope that the Hell in a Cell can be the fearsome arena it is intended to be, even within the limits of today's WWE. It will be the hokey ending that gets many folks talking; capping off a battle with a ghostly ...

Latest News and Rumors Surrounding WWE 2K15 for Oct. 27

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On October - 27 - 2014
WWE 2K15 is nearly here. Well, the version for current-generation consoles, to be specific. Fans who buy the game for either Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 won't get the sleek graphics the other editions offer, but they will get access to an exclusive NXT mode. That addition, roster information and details for MyCareer mode highlight the latest news before WWE 2K15 hits stores. WWE 2K15 comes out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 28 in North America and Oct. 31 internationally. The wait for the next-gen versions will be a bit longer: The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions will come out on Nov. 18 ...

WWE Hell in a Cell 2014 Results: Worst Booking Decisions from PPV

Posted by Erik Beaston On October - 27 - 2014
To say that booking had been lackluster and lethargic entering Sunday's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view would be quite the understatement. There was very little energy surrounding World Wrestling Entertainment's product outside of the fairly awesome rivalry between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, and anticipation for one of the company's monthly extravaganzas was nearly nonexistent as a result. With such a strong card and a roster full of immensely talented performers, there was hope that the quality of the ring work would overcome a show lacking creativity and intrigue. For the most part, that was the case. The wrestling was very good throughout, ...

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell Was Ruined by Finish

Posted by Sharon Glencross On October - 27 - 2014
Vince Russo would be proud. WWE’s Hell in a Cell show went off the air amid run-ins, fake weapons, fake fog and, um, a hologram distraction in the middle of the ring. (No, it wasn’t Princess Leia.) Alas, the awful and convoluted finish of Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins ruined what was an otherwise superb main event. Credit to the guys: They worked incredibly hard—and took some major bumps—to churn out a terrific bout. But nothing they could have done could have saved that ending. (Ambrose had the upper hand on his foe until Wyatt and his Hollywood visual-effects team appeared out of ...
Monsters and heroes, megastars and up-and-comers comprise the perfect traditional Survivor Series elimination match. Too often, today's Survivor Series elimination bouts are afterthoughts. The November pay-per-view once featured teams brimming with star power, supersquads that one wouldn't see anywhere else. In 1987, Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, Brutus Beefcake, Ricky Steamboat and Jim Duggan were all on the same team. That's a total of four Hall of Famers. In 2001, The Rock, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Kane and Big Show made up an all-star team looking to save WWE from The Alliance.  When Survivor Series 2014 rolls around, we're not likely to see a convergence of ...

WWE Hell in a Cell 2014: Biggest Talking Points Following Major Event

Posted by Aaron Bower On October - 27 - 2014
Hell in a Cell 2014 provided talking points aplenty following a pretty explosive show. While there were some solid matches across the card, it was the main event that provided a fitting end to a decent show. But all across the card, we now have a healthy amount of issues to focus on as the first Raw following HIAC airs on Monday night. The drama surrounding the main event was just the tip of the iceberg—from Rusev to Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton to Cesaro, we have much to talk about after the WWE's latest pay-per-view. But what in particular were the biggest ...
WWE Hell in a Cell 2014 is in the books, and the WWE Superstar Power Rankings have a new No. 1, though he's a familiar face. This week, John Cena reclaims the top spot after earning another shot at World Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.  The Dallas crowd and TV audience might have been left with a bad taste in their mouth at the end of Hell in a Cell (which will be discussed over the following slides), but it was a solid card overall, with plenty of action and strong performances. One interesting note is that four of WWE's five titles ...

Dean Ambrose Will Be an Ideal Opponent for a Feud with Bray Wyatt

Posted by Alfred Konuwa On October - 27 - 2014
Dean Ambrose's feud with Seth Rollins saw the perfect ending. Rollins, a rare main event heel on a roster in transition, defeated longtime foe Ambrose in what looks to be the final chapter in a near five-month feud for now.  The closing sequences saw Bray Wyatt, who, next to Rollins, is also among WWE's most promising top heels of the future, return to cost Ambrose the match. Ambrose losing to Rollins due to outside interference from Wyatt was a formidable finish for WWE moving forward. Not only is WWE's heel roster bolstered with the return of the dynamic Wyatt, but Rollins also stayed ...
