Few professional wrestlers are capable of transcending eras and age groups, but thanks to his colorful and unforgettable character, WWE Hall of Famer "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan remains an influential figure in the wrestling business more than three decades after his debut. The 61-year-old legend is currently serving as an ambassador for Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling, and he joined Ring Rust Radio (quotes courtesy of the News of Delaware County's Joe Arcidiacono) to discuss the future of GFW in addition to WWE, WCW and his stint on the popular WWE Network reality show Legends' House, among other topics. While WWE is the king of sports entertainment, ...

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt: Why Feud Has Strengthened Reigns

Posted by Tom Clark On July - 16 - 2015
Roman Reigns will finally get his hands on Bray Wyatt at WWE's Battleground event on Sunday, July 19.  The match comes after weeks of stalking by Wyatt, whose work in this feud is actually strengthening Reigns. Reigns came into this rivalry as a defeated man.  After being unable to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31 against Brock Lesnar, he slid back to the semi-main event.  While this was not necessarily a death sentence for him, it was a departure from the world-title spotlight he had enjoyed prior to that point. He was no longer the next top guy, the ...
Brock Lesnar is on a collision course with the WWE world heavyweight champion when he takes on Seth Rollins at Battleground on July 19. But Rollins is not the only one who could fall on that night, as Lesnar may take The Authority down in the process. This is a showdown nearly four months in the making. It was at WrestleMania 31 when Rollins cashed in his title shot during Lesnar's championship defense against Roman Reigns, and since that time, the former Shield architect has been on a roll. He has been on top of the world, wearing the richest prize in the ...
Monday night on Raw, Charlotte and Sasha Banks were two of three Divas to make their main-roster debuts. Just two days later, they wowed the NXT audience with another classic women's championship match. Banks retained, proving why she is the Boss of NXT, but both women earned the respect and adulation of the fans. Tag teams also took center stage as Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake returned to the squared circle. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable also debuted their new team, picking up a victory in the night's opening match. Samoa Joe was in action, mowing down another unfortunate soul but coming no ...

WWE Tough Enough 2015: Recap, Reaction and Elimination from July 14

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On July - 14 - 2015
After four weeks of competition, the field is starting to narrow on WWE Tough Enough. Hank, Alex and Daria have all been eliminated, and Dianna chose to take herself out of the competition for personal reasons. With one extra person leaving last week than planned, WWE had to scramble to find a new contestant. Chelsea Green, whom many will remember as the physical therapist Stephanie McMahon claimed had an affair with Daniel Bryan, has joined the competition. The fact that the show chose to use someone new instead of giving a previously eliminated cast member another shot at stardom is a bit strange, ...

WWE Battleground feels like it probably should be a warm-up show for SummerSlam, but don't be surprised if it impresses on a number of fronts. Fans will watch with drawn breath to see what happens with the Divas division following the electrifying angle with the NXT stars of the future on Monday's Raw, while Stephanie McMahon's involvement also promises big things for the angle. Any show with Brock Lesnar is more than just a transitional one, and with the third and likely defining fight between Kevin Owens and John Cena, there is much to salivate over. Randy Orton and Sheamus will fight ...
For months and months, WWE's Divas division has needed a shot in the arm, and on Raw this past week, it received two major boosts in the same segment. The headline news, of course, is that Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte are on the main roster and don't look like they're going anywhere for quite some time. The impact those three women made was substantial enough to ramp up interest in a division that has stuttered and staggered along for at least six months, but WWE fans were given an even bigger indication that business is picking up among the Divas ...
