As perhaps the second-biggest show on the entire calendar, WWE SummerSlam was always going to provide matches that went one of two ways. The Dudley Boyz returned on the Raw after SummerSlam, August 24, to confront The New Day, the current tag team champions.  This was after New Day members Kofi Kingston and Big E took on The Lucha Dragons. The Prime Time Players, the former tag team champions, were at ringside on commentary. The New Day defeated its opponents and rightfully celebrated its victory. Saturday's NXT TakeOver special in Brooklyn was a huge success for the developmental brand for many reasons. Not only did the show take place in the same arena as SummerSlam in front of a packed crowd, but it produced several highly entertaining matches.
