10 WWE Superstars Who Must Be Repackaged Immediately

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On November - 27 - 2015
Coming up with a sustainable gimmick is almost as important to a WWE Superstar as being able to run the ropes or apply a proper hammerlock. Some wrestlers are at their best when they are themselves, while others need a character completely different from their own personality. Whatever the case may be, the 10 Superstars on this list need a change. If you look back through the history books, many examples can be found of Superstars who were having trouble connecting with the crowd being saved by a total overhaul of their gimmick. Mean Mark Callous was a big fat nothing in ...

WWE SmackDown Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from Nov. 26

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On November - 27 - 2015
Every week on Bleacher Report, I take an in-depth look at WWE SmackDown to recap the action, offer analysis and grade the matches, segments and anything else that takes place on the show, as well as make a few predictions for future events. Thanksgiving episodes of SmackDown have been hit-or-miss over the years, and Thursday's episode probably fell more into the miss column for most people. The show only featured five matches, and while the majority of them produced some good performances, it just didn't feel like there was a good flow to the show. One development we saw was the naming of a ...

Roman Reigns vs. Triple H on Track for Epic WWE WrestleMania 32 Match

Posted by Graham GSM Matthews On November - 26 - 2015
Coming out of Survivor Series, WWE can't deliver a bigger match at its stacked WrestleMania 32 event next April than Roman Reigns vs. Triple H. With Seth Rollins out with an injury and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc) reporting that The Rock is unlikely to wrestle at the event, there aren't any obvious opponents for Triple H at The Show of Shows—especially with the roster being as thin as it is at the moment. With that said, Reigns is the next best candidate to go one-on-one with The Game. The match was at one point rumored to take place at WrestleMania ...

WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from November 25

Posted by Erik Beaston On November - 26 - 2015
For months, fans have speculated that WWE and NXT management have made it a goal to push Eva Marie down the throat of the collective fanbase, regardless of what they perceive to be a complete lack of competence between the ropes. Wednesday night on the WWE Network, the company turned fans' conspiracy theories into an angle, recruiting Michael Cole and referee Charles Robinson to suggest that the fix was in. The result was an incredibly hot, tremendously dramatic main event that only strengthened the connection women's champion Bayley has with the fans. Despite the odds against her, the champion retained, much to ...

WWE TLC 2015: Worst Matches in History of PPV

Posted by Erik Beaston On November - 26 - 2015
A single look at the six-year history of the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view suggests it is traditionally one of World Wrestling Entertainment's best events. And why would it not be? Fans love gimmick matches, and the Superstars involved typically break out their creativity when injecting high spots into their performances. Even that combination is not enough to save every match from the depths of sucktitude, as the great Edge and Christian would put it. The 2014 event proved as much, but it was not the only instance of matches failing to live up to the lofty expectations of fans. A closer ...
Having Roman Reigns keep barely brushing his fingers against the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, unable to possess it, unable to celebrate, is the key to having him win over a resistant audience. As a man many see as the next John Cena, the usual march to the title won't be enough. WWE needs to generate pathos for him. He needs to struggle. His critics often see Reigns as WWE's golden boy. In their minds, he's being elevated too high and too fast. Some feel that he's less deserving of center stage than other wrestlers. And so WWE is tasked with convincing those detractors to ...
Armageddon is upon us. If you are as wildly against Eva Marie as the NXT faithful in Full Sail University, that is. Wednesday night featured the star of Total Divas in her first truly high-profile championship bout, as she squared off with Bayley in this week's main event. With all eyes on the still fairly inexperienced young performer and whether NXT Creative would go all in with her push by booking her to win the title, the atmosphere surrounding the match was certainly heated. That was hardly the only championship bout of importance on Wednesday night. After dissecting The Vaudevillains and winning the tag titles two weeks ...

WWE TLC 2015: Most Intriguing Storylines to Track on Road to PPV

Posted by Aaron Bower On November - 25 - 2015
The road to WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs is filled with intrigue and mystery. After a Survivor Series that failed to captivate the imagination, it shouldn't be too hard to improve on certain aspects of the build as TLC approaches. But with just three weeks between shows, there is a real challenge for WWE to nail down some intriguing storylines at a time where the company desperately needs them. Here's what stands out so far as the things to watch before TLC takes place on Dec. 13.    Dean Ambrose Bouncing Back It was a disappointing night for Dean Ambrose fans at Survivor Series. Not only did ...

Cesaro’s Injury Derails His Surging Momentum Toward the Top of WWE

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On November - 25 - 2015
Cesaro was a rocket ship with fire churning under him, awaiting WWE to finalize his launch skyward. But that flight is now delayed. A torn rotator cuff sent an on-the-rise Superstar to the surgeon's table and then on a long road back to the ring.  The King of Swing's popularity was snowballing. His in-ring performance was hitting an all-time level. It seemed inevitable he would be able to uppercut his way through the glass ceiling and move from midcarder to the marquee. A tear in his shoulder had other ideas, though. Cesaro now joins a long list of injured wrestlers who are in danger ...

Kevin Owens Must Be Elevated to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Contender

Posted by Sebastian Maldonado On November - 25 - 2015
Kevin Owens is ready for the WWE main event picture. In fact, Kevin Owens must be elevated to a WWE World Heavyweight champion contender. It’s not even an issue at this point. Owens capitalizes on every opportunity the WWE gives him and makes the most of it. The Intercontinental champion is a fixture in the midcard division, putting on matches worthy of airing last instead of their time slot. Owens has capitalized on his momentum from the Elimination Chamber event, where he began a series of three sensational matches with John Cena. His current journey culminated in winning the Intercontinental title from ...
