Bayley and Carmella sought revenge Wednesday night as they battled Nia Jax and Eva Marie in the main event of NXT on WWE Network. The Divas tag bout, won by the villains, capped off a show featuring some of the brightest young talent in the industry. Tommaso Ciampa continued his winning ways with a victory over the now-departed Bull Dempsey, and Apollo Crews got back on track by beating newcomer Christopher Girard. It was American Alpha, though, that strengthened its championship aspirations, as he team defeated Blake and Murphy in a quality tag match to kick off the night's festivities. The show may not ...

Shinsuke Nakamura, Bullet Club and Latest WWE NXT Developmental News

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On February - 24 - 2016
The New Japan Pro Wrestling invasion of WWE NXT is fully underway as Shinsuke Nakamura officially arrived and two members of Bullet Club set the table for their entry into the developmental brand. As surreal as the idea is, Nakamura is officially a member of the WWE roster. In due time, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson will join him. Rumors have pointed to this for much of the year, but it's still hard to wrap one's head around the idea of these wrestlers actually joining forces with WWE. In other NXT news, a number of prospects are getting a spot on an upcoming ...
The only time Shane McMahon and Undertaker should battle inside Hell in a Cell is in a WWE 2K video game. That is not a match that belongs on the WrestleMania 32 card. A narrative rife with plot holes, the ages of the two combatants and the missed opportunity it promises to be make it a blunder waiting to happen. The massive buzz Shane-O-Mac created when he returned on Monday's Raw to confront his father is undeniable. Having Shane then make Vince McMahon squirm on TV, stepping up to his father (shades of 2001) was thrilling.  Still, booking him to face Undertaker inside the ...
1. WWE Raw Cannot Keep Running in Place Even with Shane McMahon returning to Raw for the first time in years, even on the night after an eventful pay-per-view and even with a vengeful Brock Lesnar in the building, WWE couldn't maintain fan interest as Monday's Raw closed. Once again, the audience drifted. PWInsider's Dave Scherer wrote Monday's show started well with 4.2 million viewers to open the show. However, Raw "dropped down to 3,396,000 viewers" in Hour 3. That was no one-night fluke, either; It's the standard pattern right now. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline reported the Raw on Nov. 9 fell from 3.48 million people ...

Triple H’s Attack on Roman Reigns Continues to Blur Lines in Rivalry

Posted by Aaron Bower On February - 24 - 2016
Wrestling feuds have traditionally been built on good vs. evil or heel vs. babyface, but the current Reality Era in WWE is signalling a change in how rivalries and matches are booked these days. That was vividly apparent during the closing segment of Raw this past Monday, when Triple H's attack on Roman Reigns signified just how different things are in WWE these days. In terms of their own personal feud, it continued to blur the lines and the clarity of their rivalry.  It wasn't so much the attack that made things confusing, though, but rather the way it was booked, the ...
Now that Fastlane is behind us, we're a matter of weeks away from WrestleMania—and in the wake of this week's Raw, its card is finally beginning to take shape. WWE always goes all-out for its biggest show of the year, and with great expectations of filling the 100,000 capacity of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, there's more pressure than ever before to produce a card that will draw a massive crowd to the arena. As legends from the past make their returns, and as the stars of tomorrow jockey for position in showcase matches, it's an exciting time to be a pro ...

Chris Jericho’s 5 Biggest Career-Defining Matches with WWE

Posted by Erik Beaston On February - 24 - 2016
One of the most complete performers in WWE history, Chris Jericho continues to make waves in Vince McMahon's company thanks to his ability to entertain fans both on the microphone and inside the squared circle. A highly skilled storyteller, he has been part of some of the greatest matches in WWE history, legitimate classics that will stand the test of time. But not all of those classics define the character of Y2J or the way it has evolved over the years. Beginning as a flashy and flamboyant wannabe rock star in 1999 and developing into a charismatic underdog of sorts before undergoing a ...
Stone Cold Steve Austin’s last wrestling match took place in 2003, but even after 13 years away from the ring, the WWE Hall of Famer is still recognized as the most popular Superstar in the history of the wrestling business. Now, instead of running the show every week on WWE programming, Austin is now the host of two wildly popular shows on CMT called Broken Skull Challenge and Redneck Island. Airing on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET and Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET, respectively, Austin has the chance to showcase the natural charisma and toughness that made him a star in ...

WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Complete Results and Analysis for February 25

Posted by Erik Beaston On February - 24 - 2016
Chris Jericho and AJ Styles set their differences aside on Monday night to score a win over The Social Outcasts, but they would be faced with a much stiffer challenge as WWE taped this week's episode of SmackDown just 24 hours later in Indianapolis. Their opponents? The New Day in six-man tag team action. Jericho and Styles would be forced to find a partner, creating even more questions about their ability to coexist. Could they eliminate their egos from the equation, focus on finding a partner and put an end to the win streak The New Day had been on? After picking up ...

The Undertaker to Return to WWE Programming During Raw on Feb. 29

Posted by Scott Polacek On February - 23 - 2016
Wrestling fans won't have to wait much longer to see The Undertaker this year. According to a WWE.com report on Tuesday, "The Undertaker will appear live on next Monday’s edition of Raw for the first time in 2016." WWE.com added more context to the return: Following Mr. McMahon’s blockbuster declaration that The Phenom will battle Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania to decide if The Boy Wonder will assume control of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe has been speculating on what the legendary Superstar will have to say about his role in the McMahon family power struggle. Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc.com noted The ...
