This year's WrestleMania main event was announced one year in advance, live on TV in front of millions...and millions of fans. This fact alone means something big and unique is on the horizon. As stated on WWE.com, ''In the most anticipated WrestleMania clash in history, John Cena will collide with The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII (...)'' in what is supposed to be ''(...) a dream match for the ages.''Everywhere on WWE programming, Cena vs. The Rock  is billed as the biggest match in WWE history. However, one can wonder if that statement is accurate.Isn't it exaggerated to pretend it will surpass Hogan vs. ...

WWE Extreme Makeover, Part 3: The 10 Most Awful Gimmick Changes

Posted by Dan Power On April - 20 - 2011
Welcome to the last part of my WWE Extreme Makeover trilogy. In the part one, I presented the 10 greatest gimmick changes in WWE history and the second installment was dedicated to the chameleons of wrestling. As you could see, most of the gimmick changes were meant to give a new breath to a wrestler's career and, usually, it worked well or it drastically opened the road to the superstardom. However, some transformations were not exactly a good move. On some occasions, it led to simply boring changes and even to the demise of some wrestlers; and, the following slideshow will feature ten ...
As you all know, Edge is now retired and he will no longer grace the fans with his presence in the ring. When we think about him, it's natural to think about the WWE Hall Of Fame.In his case, it's not a matter of "if" but of "when" he will be inducted. There is no doubt he will make it as soon as Vince McMahon thinks it's the best time. But, just in case there is one person on this planet who has any doubt, I made the following slideshow.I have seen a lot of articles about ...
With the hype surrounding WrestleMania, there is also the hype surrounding the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.Year after year, there is a big name, the leader of his class who is inducted with great fanfare. On the undercard of the ceremony, there are some smaller names, usually mid-carders. There is usually one woman wrestler, also known as a Diva, who receives the honor. There is also a special section in the Hall of Fame reserved for celebrities who took part in some WWE events in various roles. This year, for some reason, Drew Carey is the celebrity chosen to receive the ...
It would make sense to think about WrestleMania III as the greatest wrestling pay-per-view in WWE history. But it was not necessarily the case. When it seemed impossible to repeat the success of the previous year's wrestling extravaganza, Vince McMahon accomplished an unthinkable tour de force with WrestleMania IV.If the show was not as big as the third installment of the show, with inflated numbers of fans in the crowd, it was without a doubt an even greater happening with a better card overall.WrestleMania III was the stage of the most famous body slam in history and of one of the ...

Posted by Dan Power On March - 16 - 2011
In the first part of Extreme Makeover WWE Edition, I presented the top 10 greatest gimmick changes in WWE history. As mentioned by many in the comment section, some big names were missing and it was for a good reason; it was because Part 2 of the trilogy I call WWE Extreme Makeover was next. So, here it is. In a few seconds, you will discover 10 "WWE chameleons" or, in other words, wrestlers who changed their gimmick more than two or three times during their run(s) with the company. As you will see, some of these transformations were great while some ...
On the road to WrestleMania and as a part of the biggest weekend of the year in the world of wrestling, there is another annual tradition, the Hall-of-Fame ceremony.Year after year, one big name is inducted into the WWE Hall-of-Fame, and some other legends in their own are also added to the induction list. This year, Shawn Michaels is the leader of the class. And, so far, we know the names of three other wrestling personalities who will make it in HBK's shadow."Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong and Sunny all deserve their spot, there is no doubt, but they are ...

WWE Extreme Makeover, Part 1: Top 10 Greatest Gimmick Changes

In the world of pro wrestling, the change of gimmick is a common thing. A repackaging can either be a good or bad thing for a wrestler. Some gimmick changes can be drastic and come with completely new outfits. Some other transformations can be less spectacular and mostly bring a brand-new attitude. In the following slideshow, I have handpicked the 10 greatest gimmick changes in WWE history. Those alterations happened after a wrestler left WWE for some time or in the middle of a run with the company. To feature on that list, the changes must be more than just a face turning ...

WWE Divas: The 25 Hottest Photos of Beth Phoenix

Posted by Dan Power On February - 28 - 2011
Beth Phoenix is my favorite Diva of all-time. She is also the kind of woman I like; she doesn't look skinny and she looks actually healthy. For me, she is the prototype of the modern day's Divas. She has a perfect balance between beauty and strength. She is a true powerhouse and, with her amateur wrestling background, she possesses amazing in-ring skills. The Glamazon is a three-time Women's Champion and she held the title for a total of 367 days. In 2010, she became the second woman to enter the Royal Rumble match and the first ever to eliminate a wrestler. But you're ...
I have read some articles about TNA and particularly the comments bashing WWE being PG and John Cena. Many, including myself, are willing to see John Cena turning heel, but it just won't happen anytime soon. I even surprised myself by actually defending John Cena and the PG product. In fact, the more I think about it, the less I want Cena to turn heel. Anyway, they won't turn him heel just because of 10 percent of the fans, those "members" of the Internet Wrestling Community (IWC). And I'm generous when I say the IWC represents 10 percent of the WWE Universe. For ...
