Zack Ryder: Stuck on a Rough Ride and Trying to Get out

Posted by Duane Doogan On April - 7 - 2011
I sat behind my computer this past Monday, eagerly awaiting the results from the WWE Superstars Tapings before RAW. It was the night after WrestleMania and the first day of the wrestling calendar. I was hoping that Zack Ryder wouldn't be on Superstars this week, that would then increase the likelihood of him making an appearance on RAW later that night. However, before I could even get to the Superstars results, I came across the dark match results. Zack Ryder battled Mark Henry before any of the cameras were turned on. In a generic match just to wake up the ...

Monday Round-Up! Post WrestleMania Blues, RAW Tonight & More

Posted by Duane Doogan On April - 4 - 2011
- The day after WrestleMania and it looks like we have to watch RAW tonight to see what's going on with everything. Which is just cheating the paying fan out of his money and giving it away on TV.Because I don't feel anything was wrapped up last night, it was the start of stories as opposed to the end and it doesn't feel like the first night of the wrestling year tonight as it should.- The Rock has a big announcement tonight he teased earlier today. Surely it won't be a match? He says he's open to wrestling again so ...

WrestleMania 27: Feelings and Thoughts from the Wrestling Voice

Posted by Duane Doogan On April - 4 - 2011
It's just after 8 a.m., the morning following WrestleMania. The image of The Rock standing on the turnbuckle as the show ended was roughly four hours ago, so as you can imagine, I'm a little rough getting up for work this morning on an hour or so of sleep.I didn't want to write live results for the event as it's WrestleMania and I wanted to take my time to enjoy the show, but I'll discuss what I thought here—though I must warn, my judgment of events can be questionable after just one watch. We'll see how I get on.Pre-ShowI felt ...
The following was written by myself and taken from WrestlingVoice.net's WrestleMania special edition 44-page magazine written by the Wrestling Voice writer's available now for FREE at this link. Is there any value in ending The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak that has lasted two decades and toppled some of the biggest legends in the wrestling business? A fixture of WrestleMania over recent years has become the Undertaker's undefeated streak. That was apparent last year when it was the last match on the card ahead of both World Championships match. Many are worried that this year when 'Taker goes up against Triple H in what ...

The Rock Is Back? Time to Re-Write WrestleMania… Here’s How

Posted by Duane Doogan On February - 20 - 2011
First off, how amazing was it to see The Rock back in a WWE ring last Monday? It’s amazing how much of a legacy he left behind for a man who was only a full-time wrestler for less than five years (Rock began taking his “movie breaks” following WrestleMania in 2001). It was interesting how they let him talk about John Cena the way that he did. John Cena is WWE’s top babyface by a country mile and following Randy Orton’s failed WWE Championship reign last year, Vince McMahon knows just how precious Cena’s ...

WWE Survivor Series 2010: Predictions From The Wrestling Voice

Posted by Duane Doogan On November - 21 - 2010
Tonight, WWE rolls into the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Fla., for the 24th annual Survivor Series spectacular! Below are my predictions for the event!WWE Championship - John Cena as Special Referee "Free or Fired"Randy Orton © vs. Wade Barrett I cannot wait for this match so WWE must have done something correct to promote this pay-per-view. I've thought of many outcomes this week and will just give you my current one; it'll likely change by the time the event comes around but here it is anyway. One thing I've just noticed is how often John Cena has said whatever the ...

Empty Upstairs: WWE’s Need To Create New Champions

Posted by Duane Doogan On November - 8 - 2010
The main event sector of the WWE roster has taken a huge hit this year. With the likes of Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho & Batista leaving the company and injuries to Undertaker, Triple H, CM Punk among others, there is more pressure on the upper-mid card to make that next step up to the main roster. Over the last 10 years, the WWE has crowned 18 first-time champions. Of those, three were World Champions in WCW, and eight didn't have another reign (Goldberg, Benoit, Booker, Great Khali, Jack Swagger, Eddie Guerrero, John Bradshaw Layfield ...

Yes sir, we promised you a great main event. Randy Orton/John Cena/Nexus Promo The show opens with Randy Orton coming to the ring and talks about Survivor Series and says that if John Cena does plan to screw him out of the title the least thing he can do is tell him to his face.John Cena music hits and he comes to the ring and says that he has a decision to make because if Wade Barrett wins the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, then he gets out of Nexus. Orton says if Cena does screw him over then he'll keep his ...
Yes sir, we promised you a great main event.   Undertaker's Funeral The opening of the show had a video of The Undertaker going through some door. Not sure what it meant, but it was quite weird. In the arena, Kane's music hit, and he was kneeling by the grave and tombstone where he buried Undertaker (in a different arena, the grave stone must just travel). He says that the saga is over and that he has proven his dominance over the Undertaker for the final time, as his brother is never coming back because he buried him. He said there will be theories on whether ...
