Professional Wrestling has seen better days.

In the days of my youth, the WWE was going through the Attitude Era, the pinnacle of the Monday Night Wars.

Thanks to controversial segments, smashmouth wrestling, and TV-14 at its best, the WWE beat out WCW as the top promotion, eventually buying their rival in 2001.

In this day and age, the story is different. TV-14 has turned into PG.

Many wrestling fans in the Internet wrestling community call this era the "PG Era" of the WWE.

Swearing is now a no-no. Blood is not to be used in any segment. Scantily clad women are now a thing of the past in the divas division.

All in all, the PG Era is nothing like the Attitude Era of the WWE. For viewers, fans, and critics alike, there is one question on their minds: Is it that bad?

There have been mixed feelings about the PG Era, which has been around for about two years (if I am correct). There are positives and negatives on both sides.

The PG Era is a good vehicle for the WWE to use at this moment. Linda McMahon, the wife of Vincent Kennedy McMahon, is running for a Senator's seat in Congress.

If the promotion is PG, it can't be used against her by any opponents who want the seat for themselves.

Furthermore, PG programming equals more parents allowing their children to watch professional wrestling.

If violence is the only thing that parents need to be concerned about, they simply need to tell their children not to imitate their favorite WWE Superstars.

PG is not exclusive to children. PG simply broadens the audience. Instead of 18-to-34 demographics, now you can have 7-to-34 demographics.

More acceptable programming equals more viewers.

That doesn't mean that there's no downside, though.

The PG Era has been shown to alienate some fans. The older fans who reminisce on the Attitude Era feel that they are missing what made them wrestling fans in the first place.

They miss Stone Cold Steve Austin talking about how he was the baddest "Son-of-a-Bitch" in the promotion.

They miss the days when the divas division was risque and sensual.

They miss the days when storylines seemed to be better, and when a Hell in a Cell match contained blood.

They miss the TV-14 rated Attitude Era, and are skeptical of the PG Era.

It's all a matter of what is to be liked about the PG Era. For some fans, it's almost nothing. The fans who are skeptical want Vince McMahon to take the rating, "put it sideways, and shove up straight up his candy a**."

For others, the rating is just fine.

Two sides are made. For me, it's hard to know how many are for or against the PG Era.

I do know, however, what side I'm on. For the time being, PG is the way to go.

I can understand everyone's reservations about the PG Era, but I feel the blame is being placed at the wrong target.

If the PG Era is so bad, then why isn't anyone berating the 1980s wrestling boom?

You know, the era that had surreal wrestling characters? The era that had an almost unbelievable Hulk Hogan?

Don't get me wrong, but the '80s era seemed a lot campier than today's WWE. If anything, the WWE's comedy segments seem to be a parody of the '80s segments.

And yet, the WWE seemed a lot more memorable back then. Then again, it was a boom, so of course the success could be seen.

The PG rating in the WWE today doesn't hurt the promotion. The lack of quality writing, however, is a different story.

Would anyone be that upset if the WWE kept the rating and make the stories more intriguing?

Would the PG rating be a big deal if, say, a huge rivalry beyond imagination erupted between John Cena and some new, sinister heel?

The PG rating isn't the problem; it's how the WWE is going about with their programming.

Even so, the debate rages on. People are entitled to their opinions.

The PG Era will always be a debated one. Ten years from, people will talk about if it was worth it.

Hopefully, people will see that the TV-PG rating is the least of this era's problems.

Read more Pro Wrestling news on BleacherReport.com

Matt Hardy is possibly one of the most entertaining, physically able superstars on the Smackdown brand currently, and do they use him properly? No.

His brother Jeff, for example, was the same. Amazingly talented, great competitor, highly entertaining, and would take risks just to show the fans that his heart and soul was in the business.

Matt's is too, and I think every knowledgeable fan in this "WWE Universe" knows that he has just as much heart and determination as Jeff did, but does he get the time to show it? His matches are simply quick matches where he either gets shown up because he's being used as a jobber, or he gets a win. But over someone so easy to get a win over.

He needs a storyline. He needs opportunity. He needs to actually be seen for what he has!

Why has he never had a reign as WWE champion, for example? He's most definitely good enough—a better wrestler and all round a better superstar than John Cena in my opinion—yet, when Matt Hardy gets an opportunity at Money in the Bank, he's not put down on the cards to win the contract?

Fair enough, Kane deserved the contract too, but Matt Hardy—along with Jeff Hardy, Edge, and Christian—really bought the popularity and idea of Ladder matches and TLC matches around in the WWE. They actually invented the TLC matches; surely that little fact could have given him and Christian more opportunity and a better chance over the rest.

Kane is massive, yes he deserves opportunities too, he's been misused for a while also, but not in a MITB match. Hardy or Christian should have definitely won that.

I joined upto Twitter around three months ago, and followed Matt Hardy. He "tweets" regularly and more personally than most other famous people on there. One of his tweets back when Vince had suspended him for hating on McIntyre, was about how he could go and join his brother Jeff again, and bring back The Hardy Boyz.

I personally didn't want him to leave the WWE, because he hasn't achieved everything yet, but I am desperate to see him and Jeff get back in the ring together and dominate some tag team action. Matt needs chances, TNA has many...

Be careful Vince, or one of your most adored and talented superstars may be bailing out on you soon....

Read more Pro Wrestling news on BleacherReport.com

TNA Impact! immediately begins in the ring with Tommy Dreamer and the rest of the "Hardcore Originals." The crowd is extremely loud during this segment, as it appears excitement continues to build.

Dreamer announces that the name for the group is "EV 2.0." Brother DVon calls out Bubba Ray to find answers. After the "EV 2.0" group keeps pushing for Ray to join, including TNA announcer Taz, Bubba decides to join the originals. The crowd again chants loudly, "EV 2.0!"

Hulk Hogan makes his return after a two week absence and endorses the group. Abyss interrupts as Hogan hypes up his "surprise" tonight. Abyss angrily says "they" are not happy and it was never part of the plan. Abyss continues saying "they" gave him orders to take out Dreamer. Dreamer asks to fight Abyss in a Hardcore Match. The opening segment was nothing but pure energy.

Match One: Angelina Love vs Sarita (No. 1 Contender's Match)

This was a standard, decent match. It appears Angelina Love could win the title once again, but this time fairly.

Rating: 3/5

Match Two: Ink Ink vs Orlando Jordan and Eric Young

The tag team match was essentially a comedy segment with Eric Young showing some mental instability after being slammed on the head on an episode of TNA Xplosion . Ink Ink wins this one.

Rating: 1.5/5

Ric Flair comes into the ring with the rest of the Fortune group to introduce Beer Money as the new two members. Flair also announces he will take on Jay Lethal in a street fight next week. Kurt Angle interrupts and says AJ Styles is next on his list.

Match Three: Beer Money vs Motor City Machine Guns (Best out of five)

Another outstanding match in a steel cage by both tag teams. The best match of the night once again. Motor City your winners.

Rating: 5/5

Matt Morgan comes out with Mr. Anderson's music. He imitates Anderson until the man himself comes forward. Anderson and Morgan brawl. Jeff Hardy makes the save for Anderson but two TNA security guards attack both Hardy and Anderson.

Match Four: Kazarian vs Rob Terry

A Bill Goldberg-type match, with Terry completely dominating and winning in just a few moments.

Rating: 1/5

Match Five: Morgan and Security vs Hardy and Anderson

A decent tag match. The security guards weren't too bad as well. Once again, Morgan claimed he was "off the clock" and left as Hardy and Anderson got the win.

Rating: 2.5/5

Eric Bischoff makes a huge announcement about the August 12 edition of TNA Impact! The show will be pay-per-view quality. Abyss appears again, this time saying he wanted a match against Rob Van Dam with his beloved weapon, "Janice," hanging from above. Bischoff agrees and as Abyss prepares to hit Eric, RVD comes out for the save.

Match Six: Abyss vs Tommy Dreamer

A decent, hardcore main event. Raven appeared in the final moments and DDT Dreamer, as this sets up a match between the two at Hardcore Justice.

Overall Rating: 2.5/5

Peragine's Take

This Impact! had lots of energy from the crowd but I felt the show was decent at best. One match that again stood out was Beer Money vs Motor City. However, a few matches just didn't get my attention. Overall, it was a decent Impact! episode and I look forward to next week's edition, especially since it will be the final show before Hardcore Justice .

Ratings

This week's edition of TNA Impact! scored its highest rating since February. The official number is not yet reported, but over 1.64 million viewers watched Impact! this week. This is obviously a very good sign for TNA, as the company appears to be heading in a very good direction.

Read more Pro Wrestling news on BleacherReport.com

For the thousands sitting in their computer chairs and for the millions reading at home, let's get reeeaaaddy to...bleach it!

Degeneration X is one of the most successful and popular stables in WWE history. This stable at one point redefined the word controversy.

They spoke every filthy cuss word imaginable and they even got a woman to flash on live television.

If any of you have a case of pro-wrestling amnesia here is a reminder of Degeneration X of the 90's:

As we know the first incarnation of Degeneration X was during the time of the Attitude Era where every storyline was either sexualized, controversial, or both.

Degeneration X and the Attitude Era are intertwined to the point where they are inseparable, as each defined the other!

The first incarnation of Degeneration X disbanded in 1999.

It would not be until the *Ruthless Agression Era that degenerates from around the world would see Degeneration X!

It would be in 2006 that Degeneration X reformed. Shawn Micheals and Triple H feuded with the McMahons, Spirit Squad and Rated RKO. The team disbanded a year later due to Triple H suffering a torn right quadriceps at New Year's Revolution.

The second reincarnation of Degeneration X were not as sexualized and controversial like they were in the Attitude Era.

Shawn Michaels is now a born-again Christan and was not comfortable to do a lot of the things he would have done back in the Attitude Era.

Degeneration X in 2006 had to resort to a lesser form of sophomoric crude humor than what was known from them during the Attitude Era. At the time, the WWE was more focused on storylines than shock television as well.

Regardless of the fact that Degeneration X was less sexualized, they were still controversial to an existent and were as funny as they were before.

Degeneration X would announce that Vince McMahon loves cocks. Defaced McMahon's most prized possessions. Dumped excrement on the McMahons and the Spirit Squad! Those are only a few of the sophomoric hijinks that Degeneration X have done during this time.

Here is Degeneration X making Vince McMahon's life miserable:

As I said, Degeneration X were still as funny as before and were somewhat controversial.

In 2009, Triple H would then seek the aid of Shawn Michaels to battle The Legacy. This would be the last time Degeneration X form as the team disbanded shortly before Michaels' retirement.

This incarnation of Degeneration X happened in the much-criticized PG Era, and the PG rating greatly affected the overall feel of Degeneration X.

Degeneration X did nothing controversial and the only serious feud they had was with The Legacy. The next big feud they had after The Legacy was with Hornswoggle.

The reason they feuded with Hornswaggle was because he was dressing up as Degeneration X, which was gimmick infringement.

The Degeneration X feud with Hornswoggle ruined the build up to the Survivor Series triple threat match, as the WWE focused on the DX/Hornswoggle feud and not the Championship match.

I hate to say it, but Degeneration X was barely funny at all. They had their moments, but the humor they presented was catered towards tweens and not the adults and late-teen demographic.

I think only kids below the age of 10 would find the Little People's Court segments funny. I also think that not many people above the age of 15 would find treating Hornswoggle like a pet or child as humorous either.

Here is Hornswoggle infringing on Degeneration X:

In the span of three eras, Degeneration X had devolved into the opposite of what they were in the Attitude era. They went from being edgy and controversial to doing childish humor!

It hard to think that all that's left of Degeneration X is Hornswoggle, as he is still wearing Degeneration X gear.

However Cody Rhodes' "Dashing Cody Rhodes" promo did get me to thinking, just who were the greatest cocky heels of all time?

Granted, most heels, by nature, are cocky. However to stand out as a "cocky heel", one must be all about themselves all day every day.

They must be consumed by themselves. Constant preening, self-enhancement accessories like mirrors, and more preening are a must for one to earn such a distinction, and five six individuals did it better than anyone else has.

Pardon me while I kiss myself.

Oct. 7, 2007

This date marks the moment Randy Orton began his ascent to what was at the time, the Main Event Monopoly.

April 3, 2005

This date marks the moment John Cena, an upper-mid card star who had put on many great matches as a mid-carder, began his ascent to become the face of WWE.

What do these dates have to do with the title of the article?

Simple, These two dates not only mark these two men's ascent to top dogs in the WWE they are today, they also mark the moment the WWE decided that in order for these men to be the top dogs in the company, they had to give up any true hint of in ring ability that made them special.

Not to say that Orton and Cena haven't participated in some great matches in their ascent to the top but, to truly reach the pinnacle of sports entertainment, they had to become a "McMahon" type of guy.

Lets get this straight—that is not always a bad thing, well at least not until the focus on the ability to cut a promo and advertise your character becomes so lopsided that it begins to show in your ring work.

John Cena and Randy Orton are not bad wrestlers, but at one time they where not only average in the ring, people could argue that they where anywhere from good to great in the ring.

The one-sided focus on character, with little focus being put on skill, has hurt these men's talents.

Think about it: if you play a sport and you are good at it, do you not have to practice frequently in order to maintain that high level of talent you have?

John Cena has never really known or at least shown the knowledge of more moves than he knows now, but John Cena, during the height of his wrestling matches was a master of move placement, which is what truly makes a great wrestler.

It does not matter if you know 10,000 moves if you have terrible move placement and terrible in ring charisma, your match will suck.

Whereas, a person who knows eight moves may put on a five-star match because of how he well he sold and how well he placed his moves.

It is in the area of move placement that both John Cena and Randy Orton have declined. It is not just Cena and Orton that have declined because of their inclusion into the Main-Event scene, CM Punk and Chris Jericho have also began to falter in the ring since their inclusion into the not-so-exclusive-anymore club.

The reason for this is easy to figure out: The WWE since mid to late 2008, has been catering heavily to the young children as well as women in the audience.

These two demographics make up roughly 40 percent of WWE's audience. In order to connect better with these casual fans, the WWE looks to have been limiting wrestlers move sets in order for fans to better connect with a "Superstar" and their gimmick.

If you are a casual fan or a little kid, how exciting is it to see your favorite wrestlers five moves of doom and know that the match is in the bag?

My question to you.

Would you sell your wrestling soul for millions of dollars, and a chance to headline Wrestlemania? I know I would.

If you would too, then don't blame the wrestler for the lack of quality matches; blame the game.

Read more Pro Wrestling news on BleacherReport.com

Well folks, its been awhile since I last commented on any wrestling related topics on this site, but I think that I can still remember how it's done. So as always, sit back, relax, and feel free to critique.

I'll start with the WWE Championship between Sheamus and Randy Orton. With Cena dealing with The Nexus at the moment(which I will certainly get to later), Sheamus has the run of the place with the WWE Championship around his waste. Of course, the "Viper" Randy Orton, has been nothing if not consistent these past couple of weeks. He has been, in a nutshell, what you would expect from Randy Orton, especially a babyface Randy Orton. He has done what he has done the last 2 years or so, and that's been in the main event scene in some fashion or another. And that is what makes me weary of Sheamus's reign as WWE Champion.

As I said, with John Cena occupied with The Nexus, Hunter Helmsley on the shelf, and no other babyface ready to step up to the plate(at least according to WWE), there was a spot open in the main event scene. Randy Orton was given that spot.

Now, this is not a knock on Randy Orton by any means. This is only me stating what is directly in front of everyone's television screen every Monday night. Sheamus, for the time being, is a place holder of sorts. I really have no clue what direction the WWE Championship is headed for, but I see Sheamus retaining at Summerslam now, and clarity of storylines being worked out later.

(Note): With the Los Angeles lime light tying in with Summerslam, I wouldn't be surprised to see The Miz cash in his Money In the Bank briefcase, but I don't expect it to happen. WWE and wrestling fans in general, have the opportunity to see something special happen to a man who has worked hard and deserves good fortunes. Spoiling his moment so soon would seem a little hasty.(In case I wasn't clear, the man I'm referring to is The Miz, and the good fortune, is the WWE Championship).

Moving to the World Heavyweight Championship Match between Kane and Rey Mysterio, I find myself seeing the same lack of direction and clarity as the WWE Championship Match. Basically, for the last 3 weeks or so, Mysterio has been getting... well, lets just say it hasn't looked good for him. He lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Kane at Money In the Bank, and has had the aforementioned and Jack Swagger beat him to a pulp.

Yet, just like his character is marketed as, the underdog has seemingly overcome these obstacles to find himself in the main event at Summerslam. But you have to wonder how long this can keep going. You have to wonder, if it has not already happened, if Mysterio is losing credibility storyline wise. Putting aside his injuries for a moment, storyline-wise, Mysterio has been playing with the same deck of cards for years now. The only difference this time around, is that he was rewarded(if you really want to call it that after 2 weeks), with the World Heavyweight Championship. It all just makes me a little skeptical.

As for Kane becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, I'll say this: At the risk of angering some die hard Kane fans, Kane "is what he is". He is a good, veteran worker who has finally been rewarded legitimately. Whether or not his reward lasts a good amount of time, is up for debate. I would expect Kane to retain at Summerslam, with some type of Undertaker sighting, and that "is what it is" as well.

Since all of the matches have not been announced for Summerslam, Ill go over some other things I expect to be on the show.

For starters, it's a guarantee that some women's match WILL take place on this pay-per-view. Whether that's the Diva's Championship or the Women's Championship is completely irrelevant. There has to be a break in the show to give the crowd a chance to catch their breath, and this match will be exactly that.

Of course, expect a bit of a mid-card warm-up or slow down match. Maybe something with the unable to get over without Bret Hart in their corner Hart Dynasty, and the Unified Tag Team Championships. Or, something could be done with the recent start of the rivalry between Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston over the Intercontinental Championship. You might see Ted DiBiase and John Morrison thrown in there as well, probably as a filler at the most, leading into the main events, including what everyone who is watching Summerslam is paying to see, Team WWE v. The Nexus.

I have to say that this storyline has even peaked my interest level, which I thought was impossible to do in a match involving John Cena. But I've made peace with who he is, where his place in the WWE is, and how he is utilized. Anyway, for what it's worth, this storyline has been built up incredibly well.

Just a few short months ago, all of us were enduring... I mean, enjoying the new concept known as WWE NXT. A group of 8(7 now) rookies were dueling against one another to become "the WWE's next breakout star". Goofy obstacle course competitions and spoken word challenges were held to the delight of who I believe to be very few people. After the smoke cleared and Michael Cole changed his pants after nearly being dismantled by then rookie Daniel Bryan(Bryan Danielson), one man emerged victorious. That, was a well-groomed, sharp speaking Englishman by the name of Wade Barrett.

Yes, Barrett won the competition, but little was expected of him and his NXT season 1 comrades. That is until they joined together to form the dominant force we know today as The Nexus. To make a long story short, they do what they want, when they want, and how they want to do it. They have decimated any and everyone who they deemed to be in need of a beating, including one John Cena.

John Cena, being the no nonsense guy and WWE hero that he is to many, of course would not stand for this kind of siege on WWE Monday Night Raw. So, he assembles an all-star team of sorts(excluding the Great Khali for obvious reasons), including the likes of Chris Jericho, Edge, R-Truth, John Morrison, and Bret Hart, to combat The Nexus in an all out assault, seemingly cultimating at Summerslam.

To be honest, I have no clue how this one will go. The Nexus could go over here, continuing the feud. Team WWE could prevail and put an end to The Nexus once and for all. But my money would be on, you guessed it, a swerve. Possible turning on one another could happen. Alliances could be formed and broken. Who knows? The only thing I know for sure is that Summerslam has peaked my interest, and that's something I haven't been able to say about the business that I love, in quite some time.

One of the better writers on Bleacher Report happens to enlighten the "Pro Wrestling Forum" with his honest opinions and debate-starting articles. Of course, in this instance I am talking about "Pro Wrestling Featured Columnist" Joe Burgett.

Joe has been contributing to the "Pro Wrestling Forum" since August 2008. In that time, he has been one of the many great writers that have helped build this section to what it is today.

I contacted Joe and asked him if he would be interested in answering a few pressing questions. He was nice enough to say yes. We both felt this could be a entertaining read for both his fans and critics.

So, here you go.

Alec Miller: Being a writer for Bleacher Report since August, 2008 do you think the Bleacher Report ‘wrestling forum’ is better now then when you first started? Why?

Joe Burgett: "Well, I do think it has gotten very good. When I first started, there were only a few choice people here that I could look at and say, hey, this guy is good. I think Ron Johnson is a guy who should be remembered. There was a guy named Ryan who I thought worked well here."

"Ross Rutherford has not written a bunch on the site, but he was here before I was and I really like his stuff. I do feel that this time last year, we had some awesome writers and great one’s were coming in."

"I feel January ‘09 to August ’09 may have been the height of the B/R wrestling section. I helped to build this section, true, but I didn’t do it alone. Many like Jason Le Blanc, Shane Howard, Mina, and even that jackass Ray, who isn’t such a bad guy but can get on your bad side easy, all made heavy contributions to the website that should be remembered."

Alec Miller: Many great writers have written for the ‘wrestling forum’ in the past, who was always your favorite writer? From any of the writers currently contributing to the site, do you have any personal favorite?

Joe Burgett: "My favorite writer of all time is kind of a toss up between Ron Johnson and Shane Howard. Both were awesome, so it’s a tie for me. Shane and Ron are now doing their own thing, but their B/R work was wonderful in my opinion."

"Right now, and I’ve told him this before, so he should know, Ashley Morris, who I call AM, has to be the best here. Far better than I ever will be, Ashley has given out some tremendous stuff that trumps my best stuff."

"He is very talented, and if he started his own website with his stuff, it would be one of the sites in my fav list online."

Alec Miller: Who was your favorite wrestler growing up? Why?

Joe Burgett: "Phew, that is hard. I loved Shawn Michaels, as I thought he was great. Undertaker caught my eye, I loved him. I don’t care for him now, but Hogan was a favorite of mine."

"I loved Lex Luger, Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase Sr., Steve Austin, The Rock, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Vader. It is really hard to pick a favorite out of them. I’m 20, but I watched these men my whole life, so I fell in love with wrestling watching them."

"The Hardys probably got me the most excited to watch when I became a teen though, so I did watch for them at that point. Sorry to be much help with that. But okay, if I have to pick one, give me Michaels. I loved every match he did. So, there ya go."

Alec Miller: What was the greatest match that you ever watched? Why?

Joe Burgett: "Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels, Ironman Match. I loved every minute of it, and it really made me respect the two. Nothing but one pure hour of wrestling."

"How can you not love that as a wrestling fan ? I’ve seen some great ones since, but they all involve Michaels or Bryan Danielson, go figure."

Alec Miller: Greatest gimmick you ever saw in your lifetime not named The Undertaker? Why?

Joe Burgett: "Well obviously Taker is the best, but I’m gonna go Santino for second best. Santino is a real Canadian guy who talks nothing like he does on TV, and plays an Italian character. He is half Italian, but was born in Canada.

He’s just as Canadian as; Edge, Christian, Bret Hart, even Steve Nash. He is hilarious, and although Santino is not World Championship material and never will be, he is entertaining, fans love him, and he works well for the WWE, just as much as Taker does currently. A program with Santino is more entertaining than not, in my opinion."

Alec Miller: Nobody could believe what Chris Benoit did, yet some people still feel that he should still be acknowledged as one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time. Where do you stand on Chris Benoit and him going down as one of the greatest? Why?

Joe Burgett: "Well I hate what Benoit did as much as the next guy, but after hearing he was diagnosed with CTE, I kinda jumped back a bit. With that injury, he could have a drink or two, get a buzz and kill 18 people without knowing it."

"That is how that disease works sometimes. It is one that is trying to be treated, but growing fast. It’s one reason chair shots were taken out of WWE and why headbutts from the top rope have pretty much disappeared. Benoit took a ton of head damage and it’s not a wonder why he had it."

"At that point, I don’t think I can really hate Benoit as bad as I could have if he didn’t have the disease. Still don’t like what he did, so don’t get me wrong. I just can’t really hate on him for it as much as I could have if he just did it without the disease."

"That said, I think that part of his life shouldn’t count when you talk of his wrestling career. His out of the ring troubles mean nothing when you talk best ever.

"Benoit is clearly not the best of all time. He had no mic skills, barely had charisma, didn’t work well in many story lines, and was mainly getting by because of his heart and good skill in the ring."

"If you talk best in ring technicians ever, he is probably in the top 5, behind Mr.Perfect, Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, and Ric Flair. Benoit is only remembered (wrestling wise) because of how great his skill in the ring was, so, that said, I think he is not in the talks for my top 20 best, but easily is in the top 50 of all time."

"When talking the best ever, you have to consider ring skill, mic work, storyline work, what they did for the business, etc. Benoit had one of those down, how could you consider him the best of all time in saying that? "

Alec Miller: TNA isn’t the greatest company in the world, we all know that. If you could offer your two cents to help them out, what would you tell them?

Joe Burgett: "Probably marketing is one thing they need to work on, oh, and promoting what they already have instead of watered down programming from 10 years ago. With many of the same guys, just older.

"Marketing is one of the reasons WWE is as big as it is. Why not get these men on talk shows, TV shows, movies, etc.? Only Hogan has appeared on a big time program’s talk show in the last year or so. And he mainly talked of his book then.

"I think they need to get rid of the older talent which obviously cannot go, then add in that young crop of talent more."

"Also, adding another show would help considering how large the roster is. And where did the Knockouts and Tag Division go? There are only a few teams in TNA now and hardly any knockouts. Depth went down hill fast, eh?

"Bring that back and get the TNA originals in there more. Doing that would help big time. And I am seriously tired of the hate on the WWE they do on TV, be yourselves and forget about the competition, of which blew you out of the water earlier in the year."

Alec Miller: A lot of people like to call The Rock a sellout for leaving the WWE after only six years and going to Hollywood. Do you think he is a sellout? Why?

Joe Burgett: "Of course not. Let me ask you a question, if you had the opportunity to make a larger paycheck, without hurting your body to do it, would you take it? I know I would!"

"Listen, The Rock was one of the best ever, and I for one would love to see him back in the WWE. But he is no sell out."

"He did the wrestling world as long as he could, but everyone has to retire sometime. Do we hate on Lesnar for leaving and ultimately going to MMA and knocking people’s faces in? No! Why hate The Rock? "

"I’d love to see him make more guest appearances, but if the man is busy then the man is busy. If he wanted to hurt his body every week for another 6 years, he would. At one point, he had to do that, but was given a better option. He took it, and everyone else knows they would too."

Alec Miller: All of us on the ‘wrestling section' are WWE fans, but we do have mixed feeling about the “PG” rating. Do you think the PG rating has been good for the WWE and fans? Why?

Joe Burgett: "Well the PG era has been okay as far as programming goes. It doesn’t matter what the rating is, you still have to WRITE OUT A GOOD PROGRAM. People complained before when it was TV-14, so it’s hard to say anyone would be happy all the time. I know I haven’t been.

"Millions still watch weekly, so apparently it’s not awful. Ratings were in the 3s since ‘05, so the PG era didn’t just bring down ratings like many think. They have been down for some time now.

"It’s good for the WWE to do this business wise because they can get into so much more programming throughout the TV spectrum now."

"I feel it would be better if they had a TV-14 show and a PG show, that way they would have the best of both worlds at that point. But, I don’t think that could ever happen.

"I have heard that is the WWE does leave PG, it won’t be until the Mattel deal expires, which is 3 years at least."

Alec Miller: Why do you think other writers and "commenters" on this site feel that you can get too harsh? Do you even think your harsh?

Joe Burgett: "I don’t feel I get too harsh, I just speak my mind. Some may think that, and that is fine. I’ve always said, if you don’t like my stuff, don’t read it. But if you continue to read, it’s possible you care to read what I write."

"I am not the most wonderful writer on the planet, and I know that. No one will stop me from speaking my mind the way I want to."

"If someone doesn’t like what I say, let me know what I said and why in a PM here on B/R. I’ll say the same thing to everyone, GET OVER IT! Ouch, was that harsh?"

Alec Miller: Despite you not saying what people want to hear, you have over 200 fans. Why do you think people love your writing?

Joe Burgett: "I guess they like what I say and how I say it. I am not going to analyze why they do, I would just simply guess they like what I have to say compared to others. Or they simply find my material interesting."

"I never am sure why someone likes my work to tell you the truth, though. I say ask others why they do, that would be far easier."

Alec Miller: Any tips for new writers here on Bleacher Report?

Joe Burgett: "I say be yourself and learn from everything that happens. If someone hates on you, then let it go. If they hate on your grammar, then let that go too and just improve, that is one reason I am as good as I have gotten, it’s not much, but I was far worse.

Listen to everyone who comments, well, read all the comments anyway. Some will be good, some will be downright awful! But take them all in, for they all will help in their own way."

I don't want this to be the last "Shoot Interview" I do with a great writer here on Bleacher Report.

So who knows? You might be the next writer I contact to do a article like this.

Let me know if you "Liked" the article and the concept of it.

Last week we found out that Tiffany would be facing Layla for her Women's Title. Let's see how all that panned out this week:

[dailymotion id=xe7fhn]

LayCool is out first, and they look fabulous in my favorite outfit-combo of theirs.

Next out is Tiffany with Kelly to an ever so fake pop. Before the match up gets underway, Vickie Guererro walks out to a great reaction, except hers, as we all know, is actually real. She basically switches Layla and Michelle in the match, so now Michelle is the one defending her title.

Err, ok then. I honestly don't know what the point of that was, but whatever.

The bell rings and Michelle mocks Tiffany, who is getting really aggravated. Michelle begins doing push ups, and as she goes to her knees is hit with a nice low dropkick. Tiffany knees Michelle, followed by multiple elbows to the face before she pummels the co-champ in the corner with some kicks. Michelle shoves Tiff' off, but is taken to the top rope anyhow.

The women trade blows until Tiffany gains control by clubbing Michelle in the back. She heads to the top along with Michelle, seemingly going for a superplex. They continually trade blows until Tiffany finally hits a great-looking superplex. Tiffany goes for the pin but Michelle gets her shoulder up right at the last minute.

The challenger tries running the ropes but is tripped up by the other half of LayCool, Layla. K2 then crawls up behind Layla, helping Tiffany out (for once!) by laying in some elbows on her. Layla shoves her off, and on the return is hit with a dropkick from Tiffany, who also yells "Stay down!"

That made me chuckle.

As Tiffany heads to the top rope Michelle trips her up. Tiff' lands right on her crotch before having her faith broken thanks to Michelle. The co-champ goes for the pin and gets the win.

I think that was a really nice little match up, if just a bit slow. They could've done more, but what they did do was good. Tiffany got good offense in, showing her 'take no shit' attitude we all love, but Michelle came out on top in the end, as she should've.

No offense to Tiffany, but I don't think she's exactly ready to be champion just yet. She's got a good understanding of the basics, but now she needs to work on her own signature moves, and especially a new finishing move.

One thing I didn't like about the whole segment was that Layla was switched with Michelle. For one, what motive does WWE have for doing this? It was stupid, and for me, very unwanted. I want to see Layla wrestle more. I want to see her defend her gold. And I just all-around want to see her.

I know what Michelle can do, and she does it well, but it's time for Layla to get time to grow and show us what she can do. It just came across as shady, and unneeded.

Teddy Long then comes on the titantron. He tells LayCool that their fun is over, and that there can only be one Women's Champion. He says they can decide amongst themselves, otherwise he will next week.

I'm definitely happy about this, because I am not feeling LayCool's co-champ gimmick at all! The only thing that could go wrong is Michelle being given the title, because Layla did get the pin on Beth, and let's face it, do we really need another Michelle McCool title run? Honestly?

So let's hope WWE makes the right decision and gives Layla the title next week.

The second week of build-up towards SummerSlam, and there's a number one contender to Kane's World Heavyweight Championship. Will we get any more of an idea who put Undertaker on the shelf? Will Kofi Kingston get any closer to a challenger for the Intercontinental Title? What will LayCool's involvement be? Let's find out.

Think of this as part feedback, part humor, and use the word SATIRE if you want.

What must it be like for the live crowd to watch as Kane and the casket come to ringside before the show starts? Would it get a grand entrance, or would they just come ringside without fanfare?

If they did a grand entrance, why wouldn't they show it for us? The Undertaker's entrance is easily the most highly regarded in the business, and they could've used that for the casket's entrance.

Is there ANY WAY that Rey Mysterio was the one who attacked Undertaker and put him on the shelf?

Could this be the first time EVER that Rey Mysterio has been mentioned as even possibly being a heel? I've seen him since his latter days in ECW, all throughout WCW, and not once has he been pushed as a heel.

Not that I think Rey Mysterio is going to be considered a heel in all of this. I'm anticipating he'll deny any involvement in Undertaker's current condition.

Is this the first time someone other than Undertaker has ever been the driving force in a casket match? I'm thinking Jake Roberts vs. Ultimate Warrior back in the late 1980's could've been, but I don't think it was.

I'm calling it now— Undertaker will appear in the once-empty casket during SummerSlam.

Why would Rey Mysterio agree to a No Disqualifications match with Jack Swagger, given that Rey is already the No. 1 contender and has nothing left to gain. Jack Swagger clearly wants to hurt Rey Mysterio's ankle and has shown he'll go to whatever lengths to make that happen regardless of the rules.

The announcers mentioned that both Christian and Drew McIntyre are both trying to raise their stock, which begs the question—if you could buy stock in WWE competitors, whose would be worth more, Christian or Drew McIntyre?

Why do matches never end during the commercial break, even with taped shows where it would be really easy to show what transpired? It would help enforce the fact that you shouldn't take too long to use the fridge or bathroom during commercial breaks because you could miss something. I'm not talking about every week or every month, but I don't think I've ever seen it.

Matt Stryker just called Drew McIntire a student of the game. Does Triple H get a quarter for the reference?

How is a headbutt considered innovative offense? It's likely one of the top three most basic forms of offense, behind kicks and punches. The drop toe hold is far more innovative. The inverted hangmans drop is more innovative. Headbutt? Come on...

That's likely the first time I've ever seen a believable nearfall after a takedown directly from a standing armbar.

Does anyone else think that the phrase "no pain, no gain" doesn't apply to wrestling? I've seen a few guys win championships without enduring any pain at all— Rey Mysterio against JBL at Wrestlemania a couple years ago and Kevin Nash against Bob Backlund for the World Championship.

Hulk Hogan isn't a good example because he tweaked something during the Finger Poke Of Doom with Kevin Nash back in WCW.

If Alberto Del Rio was so perfect, why didn't the camera get setup in such a way that we could see all four of the balls fall into pocket?

If CM Punk's hair was shaved months ago, he was demasked two weeks ago to show he was completely bald, why is it that his hair seemed to grow a lot faster now that he's not wearing the mask?

Does anyone else think that Luke Gallows looks like a slightly smaller version of Big Show?

Is it weird to think that Luke Gallows is a smaller version of anyone?

If anyone is going to attack Big Show to get Luke Gallows disqualified, shouldn't it be someone other than CM Punk? If Punk tried and failed, that could be bad for his arm.

If Big Show has an injured hand, does that make three guys who, in the first part of this show, have issues with their arms? There's Punk, Christian, and now Big Show.

Looks like we might be able to take CM Punk off that list.

Dolph Ziggler beat Kofi Kingston cleanly last week. Why does he have to win again THIS week just to earn an Intercontinental Championship match?

Did the announcers just give away the ending to this match when they said that Dolph Ziggler has quite an accomplishment by being able to say he's beaten the Intercontinental Champion twice in two weeks? They attempted to cover it up afterward by saying "That is, IF he wins"

Another match that doesn't end during the commercial break. My trips to the refrigerator are going to get longer, though admittedly I have DVR & TiVo (that's right, both), so I'm not too worried about it.

If Kofi Kingston is able to jump out of the gym, how does that work in a closed roof arena?

As Kofi Kingston is relentlessly pounding on Dolph Ziggler, one of the announcers claims they've never seen this side of Kingston before. Does that include the violent feud he had with Randy Orton? Because I'd disagree. Granted, he didn't attack anyone's Summer Slam Slurpee during that feud.

The match ends in disqualification, which means Ziggler gets his title shot next week... so why couldn't THIS match have been an Intercontinental Title match? The match could've played out exactly the same way to setup the exact same match next week.

Wade Barrett says "you're either Nexus, or you're against us", shouldn't he add "or you're on Smackdown" to that phrase?

Why do they call John Cena's team "Team WWE"? Isn't Nexus part of WWE? Isn't it basically just "Team RAW" ? Bret Hart really isn't on any of the rosters, so would he even count as "Team WWE"?

Wow, another competitor spends most of his time during an interview with his back to "Rear View" Josh Matthews. Who would've guessed?

Is there any chance that Jack Swagger actually attempts to throw Rey Mysterio into the Gulf of Mexico?

Does anyone remember when CM Punk did that to Chavo Guerrero on ECW?

I legitimately forgot my other Matthews / Swagger / Mysterio / Gulf of Mexico question when I saw what Kelly Kelly was wearing.

With women's fashion quickly merging with lingerie, how long is it until women walk around in public wearing only pasties?

Seriously, if anyone has an estimate, let me know, I'd like to change lines of work to get in on the designing.

When does LayCool decide it's time for Michelle McCool to defend their championship belts?

Why is Michelle McCool happy that she has to defend the Women's Championship if she didn't know she had to compete prior to getting to the ring?

Why is the announcer surprised that Tiffany showed up to fight?

With Kelly Kelly and Layla both at ringside, does anyone remember that they both started in WWE as members of the ECW dance team?

Did Teddy Long decide not to say "Excuse Me" when he showed up on the jumbotron because he might've gotten booed?

Why did Teddy Long just ruin the opportunity to make LayCool the first ever Womens Tag Team Champions? They shouldn't have to choose which of them is champion, and that would be a great angle.

Is it possible that Alberto Del Rio is going to eventually wear his mask? He claims to be honorable, honest, enlightened, successful... but his luchador name was Dos Caras, which means Two Faces, and if he's a two-faced character, a mask could be a great opportunity for him to still maintain his claim to being honest with his non-masked persona.

For an expanded version of this article , including my thoughts on the main event, quite a few more images and a chance to win a free tshirt, view it at GuysNation.com
