The Two Sheds Review: Mike Aldren Has Previous

Posted by Julian Radbourne On July - 30 - 2010
As I was wandering through the world wide web the other day I suddenly noticed a name of a man I hadn’t seen in quite a while—Mike Aldren. Aldren’s name was mentioned with regards to allegations he’d made about the Wrestler’s Rescue charity, an organisation set up by former WWE and ECW star Dawn Marie Psaltis. For the few of you who don’t know, Aldren has basically accused Dawn Marie of setting up the charity to steal money. Open letters from both sides can be found online, as well as other statements from people associated with Dawn Marie. ...

TNA Impact: Fleeting Thoughts

Posted by Josh Brewer On July - 30 - 2010
Thursday night was a night of pro wrestling epiphany for me. After nearly forgetting TNA iMPACT! was on, I tuned in to Spike TV just in time to catch EV 2.0 in the ring to kick off the show. Over the course of the next two hours, I made a handful of observations and those epiphanies I mentioned earlier. Instead of one central theme (outside of TNA's relatively questionable booking and writing) there seemed to be a multitude of thoughts, opinions, and criticisms I came across. - The promo introducing Beer Money as the third and fourth members of Fortune (or Fourtune—however they're spelling ...

Wrestling’s Overrated and Underrated, Part 1: The 80s

Posted by John Kindelan On July - 30 - 2010
There has been constant chatter lately on who is deserving of what in professional wrestling. Who is overrated? Who is terrible? Who should be pushed? Who’s the next big thing? Follow me on this three-part piece where I will look at the past three decades of professional wrestling and discuss the superstars that took the main events, those that should have, and those that you have to ask why they were chosen. To define who is a ‘good’ wrestler in a professional sport where the outcome is predetermined by someone else, however, almost seems like a pointless task. It would be like saying ...

WWE’s Answer: Leroy Kincaide a Potential Top Heel Star!

Posted by Dylan Thomas On July - 30 - 2010
Leroy Kincaide is who I am concentrating on in this article. He is a young British professional wrestler born in London. He has wrestled for several different promotions including IPW:UK (International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom), FWA (Frontier Wrestling Alliance) and the WWE.   Kincaide’s physique is extraordinary. He has a powerful dominating frame, which gives him strength and power, but he combines this with unbelievable agility for a man of his size.   Leroy Kincaide made his IPW:UK debut in 2005 at Orpington Halls in “Brawl at the Hall." He was an instant success making an impact in his first match. He dominated ...

WWE: Problems with the Product, Part Two

Posted by Chris O Connall On July - 30 - 2010
Welcome to part two of this series of articles in which I deliver constructive criticism's of WWE's product. The series is a completely new approach to addressing problems with WWE's product and you can expect to find certain aspects of the product discussed here which are very rarely discussed by anybody else. With that said, let's move on. 5. The WWE Creative Team I shan't spend too much time on this topic, as it has been discussed on many different occasions by various writers on this site. So, as it has been covered before, I'm going to utilise a different approach—which is the key element ...

There Too Many Pay-Per-View Events in Pro Wrestling

Posted by Travis Smith On July - 30 - 2010
Pro wrestling right now isn't as hot as it was back in 2000-2007. There are many reasons for why pro wrestling is as bad as it, from the PG era in WWE to seeing wrestlers past their prime step back into the ring in TNA. So many reasons for the struggling entertainment giant known as pro wrestling. The key reason for why wrestling is struggling is that WWE and TNA hold too many pay-per-view events. Pay-per-views can be huge events that bring in a lot of money for a wrestling company. When there is an abundance, people won't tune in to ...

Are There Too Many Pay-Per-View Events in Pro Wrestling?

Posted by Travis Smith On July - 30 - 2010
Pro wrestling right now isn't as hot as it was back in 2000 to 2007. There are many reasons for why pro wrestling is as bad as it from the PG era in WWE to seeing wrestlers past their prime step back into the ring in TNA. So many reasons for the struggling entertainment giant known as pro wrestling but there is one key reason for why wrestling is struggling so much in my opinion and it is that WWE and TNA hold too many pay-per-view events. Pay-per-views can be huge events that bring in a lot of money for a wrestling ...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: This Week’s TNA Impact!

Posted by Matthew Hester On July - 30 - 2010
This week’s Impact was an okay episode. I know that they had to spend some time promoting the new Hardcore justice PPV. So I kind of prepared myself before the show even started. There were some solid moments and not so solid moments of the show. I will go over aspects of the show in this week’s edition of the good, the bad, and the ugly.   The good Sarita vs. Angelina Love The match itself could have gone on a little longer, with that said, I think these two put on one heck of bout. I am glad to see someone else ...

iMPACT! Report: EV 2.0 ‘They’ and Hulk’s Return

Posted by Len Taylor On July - 30 - 2010
The Hardcore EV 2.0 open proves that even Vince's legal tactics can't kill the spirit of south Philly Hardcore. Adding Ray to the group sets up a potentially fiery pay-per-view moment. Hulk Hogan standing in the same ring with EV 2.0 was a historic moment. Abyss' appearance and rant about what "they" want keeps the mystery and suspense going. The fact that EV 2.0 is not "they" will only add another combustible element to TNA when they make themselves known. That's a plus for the company. The Beautiful People's uneasy truce led to a number one contender's match between Angelina and Sarita. Angelina's victory ...
