Could Sean “X-Pac” Waltman Be Going to TNA?

Posted by On December - 24 - 2009
Recently, reports have surfaced that TNA is trying really hard to get Ric Flair signed to a deal.  Scott Hall has already signed with TNA, but there is one guy who is below the radar right now. Sean Waltman, otherwise known as X-pax, Syxx, Six-Pac, and 123 Kid, may end up being in TNA soon.  He has reportedly been telling people that he will be going to the company. While TNA has confirmed nothing at this point, this move would make sense.  Having Hall, Nash, and Waltman on the same show means we could see some sort of NWO reunion with ...

What Can We Expect from WWE in the New Year

Posted by On December - 24 - 2009
The year is coming to a close, people will be celebrating with loved ones soon, taxes will be due, and people are gearing up for the new sports year.  What can we expect to see from the WWE this year? One thing is for sure, with the recent signing of Bret Hart, we are sure to see something special.  Bret's long awaited return to the WWE has finally become a reality, and most wrestling fans coulnd't be happier. Over the last few months, we have seen many new stars get pushed to the top of the WWE ladder.  Sheamus won the WWE ...

What Kind of Impact Will Bret Hart Have in the WWE?

Posted by On December - 23 - 2009
As we all know by now, Bret Hart has signed a four-month performance contract with WWE.  This most likely means he will be involved with Wrestlemania in some way. The thing people seem to think is most likely is Bret having some kind of Wrestlemania appearance with Vince McMahon, whether a match between them or a match where they pick representatives. With the WWE pushing a lot of its younger talent these days I could see the Hart Dynasty being involved with this in some way.  Perhaps Vince will have them turn on Bret and Bret will have to choose a team ...
According to multiple wrestling sites, former WCW, TNA, ECW, and WWE star Kid Kash was arrested Tuesday on multiple felony charges.  Here is the original post from the article. Johnson City Press in Johnson City, Tenn., reports that David Cash, 40, formerly known as Kid Kash in ECW, TNA and WWE, was arrested Tuesday. Cash was charged with four counts of identity theft, two counts of forgery under $500, and four counts of property theft under $500. Cash’s arrest came as a result of an investigation into the unauthorized use of a woman’s credit card at a local business. Cash was taken to ...

Wrestling’s 10 Best Hidden Gems of the Decade

Posted by Ivan Blanco On December - 23 - 2009
Another decade, another crop of matches that don't get their share. For every Hogan/Andre bout that drew $X billions of dollars (depending on who's telling the story), there's always a better Steamboat/Savage match lurking in the undercard. With that in mind, it's time to go throug the top "hidden gems" from the past decade, with hopes of exposing fans to matches they'd never seen, and giving me the excuse to watch all these bad boys again. While many of the matches on this list aren't superior to the matches that took home "Match of the Year" honors, they are nonetheless as ...

The Sad Story of the NWA (National Wrestling Aliiance)

Posted by On December - 22 - 2009
For any wrestling fans who have been around awhile, the initials N.W.A. carry great meaning.  The NWA at one time was the largest wrestling company in the World, now they are only a blip on the wrestling world's radar. The NWA started out as a Governing body for all regional wrestling promoters involved.  Basically they divided up the US, Canada and Japan into sections, where each section was run by a different promotion.  They were called territories.  The main advantage of this was that the promotions could lean on each other if another company tried to encroach on their territory.  They did ...

Bret Hart: The Face of the 1990s WWF(Unofficial CvC)

Posted by Svyato Rovenchuk The Toronto Made Classic On December - 22 - 2009
Note:This is unofficial as Shane has already put up the voting. I was told I could've put it up on Tuesday, but whatever. "The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be" is a slogan that Bret Hart went around with while wrestling in the WWF. The rise and fall of Bret Hart was well documented. The fall was of course, the Montreal Screwjob. The rise? Well, let's get into that now.   Discovering Wrestling For Bret, it all started in his dad's promotion of Stampede Wrestling. At that point, Hart said that he did not at all see ...
WWE is by far the largest wrestling company in the world.  They have performed in dozens of countries around the globe, maybe over 100, and remains the most sought-after employer by anyone who wrestles.  WWE has been a giant in the entertainment industry for decades, beginning as WWF back when Vince Sr. was in charge of the company.  Since Vince Jr. bought his father's company, he has turned it into an entirely different beast. Since WWE began being the only game in town, they have been adding new programming to their schedule.  I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a ...

All I Want For Christmas Is a Matt Hardy Push

Posted by Justin Thomas On December - 22 - 2009
This Christmas, as I write my letter to Santa, there's one thing I want above all else: A Matt Hardy push. For all those who don't believe in Santa, guess what I wished for last year ?   Matt Hardy is one of the most talented and recognizable wrestlers in the world today. He's done virtually everything Professional Wrestling has to offer, creating an impressive résumé most wrestlers couldn't even dream of.   He broke into the WWE as a jobber when he was 18 years old, earning an official WWE contract 4 years later in 1998. Back then, pushes weren't just handed out ...

Quick Looks: A Look Back at the Departing Sheik Abdul Bashir

Posted by Bill L On December - 22 - 2009
As we know, Sheik Abdul Bashir was the unfortunate recipient of the “Fired” case during the “Feast or Fired” match at Final Resolution this past Sunday.  His TNA contract was immediately terminated at the end of that match.   Some out there may wonder in a match like this if such firings are simply short term storyline exits or if they are completely legitimate firings.  In the case of the Sheik, this departure is legitimate.  He spent a part of his time Sunday evening before the event saying goodbye to fellow colleagues.   We remember Shawn Daivari (his real name) making his first prominent ...
