WWE News: John Laurinaitis to Get a Bodyguard, Changes for Lord Tensai

Posted by Justin LaBar On May - 15 - 2012

Perhaps the most productive aspect of this past week's RAW was the WWE subtly letting the audience know there will be a surprise appearance by some superstar at the Over The Limit pay-per-view.The stipulations of John Laurinaitis versus John Cena says any superstar who interferes will be fired—and, if Laurinaitis loses, he will be fired. Laurinaitis isn't losing. He is the best heel WWE has, and people love to hate him. Although teasing the possibility ...

WWE Draft: What the WWE Should Do with Sin Cara

Posted by Joe M. On April - 19 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Sin Cara debuted on Monday Night Raw just two weeks ago, and he's already grown to be a fan favorite with his captivating in-ring skill set. That, however, doesn't mean everything went down just like WWE had planned. Mistico was renowned as one of the best Mexican Luchadors in the world, and being that WWE is always on the lookout for Hispanic wrestlers to tap into the fanbase that Rey Mysterio currently owns, Vince McMahon signed Mistico up. Right off the bat, there were some issues with Cara, from his in-ring work to his entrance.  The powers that be in ...
There are some drafts that WWE will never make happen, like their top superstars moving to SmackDown (Look what happened to HHH, he moved twice to SmackDown then appeared back on RAW a couple of weeks later). Then there's the expression "Who gives a toss." The superstars appear on both shows anyway regardless of what brand they are assigned to. Well, according to sources, the brands will go back to how they were last year, with them being exclusively signed to the brand they are assigned to.I question the draft being done two weeks before Extreme Rules when some matches ...

WWE: The Lost Art of the Heel Faction

Posted by Mike Salvatore On April - 19 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
The WWE is at it again. Lost in the shuffle of the sudden retirement of Edge, there is yet another heel stable falling apart at the seams, and it appears to be going unnoticed. Tensions within The Corre are at an all-time high, and a split appears inevitable; but why should we care. It is laughable that the WWE expects serious fans to take the dissension within the Corre with an real emotion. The group was formed in early January and it appears to be heading towards extinction by the middle of May. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this picture? I ...
I like a lot of WWE fans have noticed how the WWE has gone a bit stale of late, culminating in an under par WrestleMania. So I have decided on ten things that I think would improve the WWE. Here they are and reasons on why I think they would make the show better. You may not agree with all of them and I would love to hear your comments and ideas.Begin Slideshow
The 2011 WWE draft will take place in six days. The news really came out of nowhere—announced at first via press release from the USA Network on Monday afternoon and then confirmed by the WWE shortly after. The draft was not entirely unexpected, especially after Edge retired. These are very desperate times in the WWE and this is the result of that desperation. John Cena and Randy Orton are the top two guys in the company today and both compete on Raw. However, that's probably not going to last too much longer because Smackdown is in desperate need of a ...

WWE: Why Turning Heel Is a Very Good Thing for R-Truth

Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 19 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
For the last year, R-Truth has been languishing on the mid-card while being overshadowed by the likes of John Morrison, Daniel Bryan, Evan Bourne and even Santino Marella. He was even rumored to be one of the Superstars who was on the chopping block. But that apparently changed this week on Monday Night RAW. After losing to John Morrison for the opportunity to compete in the Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship at the Extreme Rules PPV on Sunday, May 1, the rapping Superstar vented his frustrations against the Shaman of Sexy and proceeded to attack his best friend. By becoming ...
WWE wouldn't be complete without its heels and villains. You can't have a great show without them. Triple H is probably the greatest Heel of this era. Some heels like Flair, Undertaker, and Bret Hart were such great heels that they wound up with more fans that most faces.LeBron James is the villain of the NBA. His strange TV special on ESPN, "The Decision" turned a lot of the country's NBA fans completely against him. But he's so damn good that you've got to respect him.Don't we need more great heels? Someone you can't help but hate, but love to ...

WWE: Why NFL Star Terrell Owens Needs to Join the WWE

Posted by Evan Adrian On April - 18 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Terrell Owens (aka T.O.) and the WWE were made for each other. Owens' teammate, wide receiver and all-around ridiculous dude Chad Ochocinco, guest-hosted Raw last year. And you know what? He was absolutely dynamite on the mic. He worked the crowd like a seasoned veteran. And you know why? Because he's an entertainer. Why would Terrell Owens be any different? He's never been on WWE, but he's certainly had his diva moments over the years. He's been a problem in the locker room, been fined multiple times by the NFL, and has some legendary touchdown celebrations. After a touchdown,  pulled a Sharpie out of his sock ...
As many of you may have heard, next Monday, April 25, WWE will hold its annual draft. In past years, there have been a few picks here and there throughout the show, but I think that idea is played out.We need to shake things up dramatically, and that means redrafting the whole roster. To do this, I brought in the big gun, my friend for nearly 15 years and co-host of Wrestlezone.com's Chair Shot Reality, Josh Isenberg. For this draft, we did 15 rounds.I selected for Raw and Josh selected for Smackdown. We each provided a reason why we picked and put more ...
In case you missed it, R-Truth opened RAW with a celebration-type promo. This was until his former tag-team partner, John Morrison, came to the ring. After awful back-and-forth on the mic, they set up a match; the winner would be the third man into the WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules. Morrison won the match and was attacked afterwards by Truth. Truth ended the segment by blowing smoke from a cigarette all over Morrison. Now that we're all caught up, what does this mean for R-Truth's future? Well, I considered Truth to be the blandest character in the WWE. Yes, even worse than ...
