WWE News: John Laurinaitis to Get a Bodyguard, Changes for Lord Tensai

Posted by Justin LaBar On May - 15 - 2012

Perhaps the most productive aspect of this past week's RAW was the WWE subtly letting the audience know there will be a surprise appearance by some superstar at the Over The Limit pay-per-view.The stipulations of John Laurinaitis versus John Cena says any superstar who interferes will be fired—and, if Laurinaitis loses, he will be fired. Laurinaitis isn't losing. He is the best heel WWE has, and people love to hate him. Although teasing the possibility ...

WWE SmackDown was a solid show this week. Nothing was amazing, but I enjoyed most of the Blue Brand tonight. For a grade, I would fall in the C range.  The Good First, I must mention that Eve Torres was great tonight. With Mr. Excitement gone, she was in charge. Her heel character was on full display, and I loved it. I liked the opening segment. There was one major issue with Sheamus versus Daniel Bryan, but I will get to that later. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez taking out the Celtic Warrior was well done. Kofi Kingston and ...

Last Sunday, Extreme Rules washed away the stigma that it is now focused on children and women, by having the most violent displays of competition since 2007.Last year, many saw the reality-driven storylines as the start of a new era and last night, that era was cemented into people’s minds. The “reality era” as it has been dubbed, has never been as evident as it was at Extreme Rules. Chris Jericho and CM Punk are the perfect example of this.By having Chris Jericho ridicule CM Punk’s family for real issues they have faced with addictions to alcohol and drugs, WWE showed ...
WWE.com recently reported that Abraham "A.W." Washington has signed Primo, Epico and Rosa to his A.W. Enterprise stable. These three are the first signees to his group. This group already is a failure waiting to happen due to a number of reasons.  John Laurinaitis already has a developing stable As an emerging aggressive-heel GM, Laurinaitis has acquired the services of Lord Tensai and Sakamoto to become his henchmen. Seemingly, since he also assists Laurinaitis on occasion, the Miz may be a likely candidate to join the group as well. Let's not forget: Brock Lesnar is also one of Laurinaitis' boys.  Vickie Guerrero already has ...
It hasn’t been a great past seven months for former WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne. The trouble for Bourne began last November as he was suspended 30 days for his first violation of the WWE’s Wellness Policy after winning the WWE Tag Team Championship with Kofi Kingston in August from David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty. After returning to the company on December 18, 2011, Bourne was suspended 60 days for his second violation of the WWE’s Wellness policy on January 15 following losing the Tag Team titles to Primo and Epico at a live event. Prior to returning the ...
As most will know by now, WWE general manager John Laurinaitis announced on Monday's episode of Raw that he would be taking on an injured John Cena at this month's Over the Limit pay-per-view. The announcement came as a shock: Laurinaitis had called Cena to the ring with the intention of meeting with his next PPV opponent. With Cena in the ring, the corporate executive then brought out Lord Tensai, leading most to assume the monster heel was the star babyface's next opponent. However, in a Vince Russo-like swerve, Laurinaitis instead announced it was he, not Tensai, who intended to take on Cena at the show. He ...
Once upon a time, in a sports entertainment company far, far away...There was one World Champion, four big pay-per-view events and one united roster. It was a golden age in professional wrestling. Anything could happen on any given day. With that idea in mind, the average fan never knew who might pop up and was anxiously anticipating every weekly show.In the early 2000s, WWE officials, who were stuck with all the extra talent after buying out WCW, decided to separate the roster in two. Raw and Smackdown, red and blue, came to be and it remained so until winter of ...

In 2001, WWE was in a very interesting situation. They had just purchased WCW and ECW and had come off one of the greatest pay-per-view events of all time in April. The landscape of the business was going to change forever, whether anybody was ready or not. Even under all that pressure, WWE had to continue. At Judgment Day, the company put out a very average (C grade) event. What all went down? Let's find out!Begin Slideshow
On the most recent edition of Zack Ryder's Z! True Long Island Story, shown below, Ryder reminded his fans why he started the show to begin with, saying, "Last year I started Z! True Long Island Story because I was sick and tired of being on WWE Superstars every week. Yeah, I wanted to be on the main show, Monday Night RAW."This week, Ryder pointed out, he was not on RAW, but found himself once again on Superstars in a winning effort against Michael McGillicutty. He wasn't the only high profile performer relegated to the internet-only broadcast, as Dolph Ziggler "stole ...
