Posted by Mike Chiari On November - 19 - 2011

As if there wasn't already enough hype surrounding the release of the WWE 12 video game on Nov. 22, the recently announced inclusion of Randy "Macho Man" Savage as downloadable content makes this game a must-buy for any past and present fan of the WWE.Savage had been absent from WWE video games for years prior to WWE All-Stars this year. It was rumored that the late Savage, who died of a heart attack in May, ...

WWE Near Fall: Debunking Stereotypes of The Wrestling Fan

Posted by Alan Aguilera On December - 2 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
The loyal fans of WWE are the best there can be.  The common perception of a professional wrestling fan is they are poor and uneducated, an unpopular medium, and a small fraction of the TV audience, yet these are all broad concepts that are misinformed. Professional wrestling started as a circus act in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.  At the time the bouts on the card would last from 45 minutes to over an hour.  That was before wrestling matches were staged and had a fixed outcome.  The popularity steadily grew afterwards and had a boom in the 1960’s with the ...

MVP the Latest Victim of WWE’s Future Endeavors List

Posted by Renee Gerber On December - 2 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
I have only just found this out myself minutes ago, but according to the WWE on Twitter, superstar MVP has been released today. Although I personally wasn't aware of it, MVP was said by other fans to have been complaining about the company, rather, the lack of his push, recently on Twitter. This is strangely reminiscent to Matt Hardy, who was released about a month and a half ago. In spite of all that, I am actually shocked. MVP was one of the most talented wrestlers the WWE had, and I think it's unfair that he never got a main event push or ...

WWE Breaking News: MVP Released

Posted by Andre Harrison On December - 2 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
I did not see this coming. According to a statement from the WWE: "World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar MVP as of December 2, 2010. WWE wishes MVP the best in all future endeavors." In response to this, MVP posted this on his Twitter Page (@The305MVP): No need for alarm. I did not get fired. I asked for & received my release. I felt it was time to go international & freshen things up. Well there you go, pretty shocking news as this is completely out of left field. I wish MVP all the best in the future. Let me know what you all ...
In a recent interview, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart spoke about his brother Owen Hart and the move to WCW. Bret Hart had the following to say about his brother and his death. "If I'd still been in at WWE at the time, his death would never have happened," Bret said. "Owen was very close to me in the sense that whatever problems he encountered, or decisions he had to make, he always passed them by me first." "Even the simplest questions, he always wanted my opinion. I know he would have come to me with the entrance idea and ...

Randy Orton Update: Will Injury Imperil WWE Title Match?

Posted by Christopher Dunfee On December - 2 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
Last we updated, “The Viper” Randy Orton was missing in action on last week’s special three-hour edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, and was held out of action at a WWE live event on Sunday in Salisbury, Md., with a reported knee injury. Reports earlier this week noted that Orton suffered a legit knee injury at the hands of The Nexus attack prior to his bout with Wade Barrett, specifically due to a kick to the knee from WWE NXT Season 2 competitor, Husky Harris. It was strongly anticipated that “The Apex Predator’s” injury wasn’t anything serious, and was more of ...
The Off is here with more news in WWE.                       WWE TV expected to start around mid 2012 early 2013 (if we are still ALIVE) This may not be the name that they choose to use but the WWE is planning on getting their own TV network. They have said the want to use it the way MLB does, where the pay-TV operators own a stake in the network. This makes me wonder what they plan on running on this network. Reruns? Inside news? What about the rating of it?                                     CM Punk is being encouraged to do more "inside jokes" As we ...

WWE: It’s Time To Play ‘Whose Legs Are These’?

Posted by Rachel Miller On December - 2 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
After the success of my last game, "Who's That Body?", I have decided to do a game on the WWE Divas. Of course, you've seen those smart, powerful, and sexy Divas in stadiums and arenas across the world as well as your television screens. But do you really know the Divas? Well, think again. A photo of a WWE Diva will be shown, however only her legs will be revealed. And unlike the "Who's That Body?" challenge, no hint will be revealed this time around in order to make this quiz much more difficult. And as "Dashing" Cody Rhodes would ...
