WWE: Tag Teams, Women, Brands? Is Unification The Way Forward?
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
In the build up to Wrestlemania XXV, Carlito and Primo Colon challenged John Morrison and The Miz to a match that would Unify the WWE and World Tag Team Championships, as well as the Tag Team Division in general, giving the Champions the power to appear on any brand.
Last Night, on the WWE's 900th Episode of RAW, Melina accepted the challenge of Unifying the Women's and Divas Championship, in a match at Night of Champions, in a Lumberjill Match. Many Internet Journalists saw this coming, due to the publicly accepted "The Divas Championship means nothing."
Interesting.
Many Internet Wrestling Sites are now ...
WWE Raw Episode #900: The Review and Thoughts
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
So yesterday, many people were expecting Raw to be a great episode. Many people were expecting some surprise returns and others were expecting the GM to be revealed. Sadly, nothing surprising happened, and when I mean nothing, I mean nothing.
There wasn't any hype for this show at all last week, except for Laycool announcing they were going to be at the show to make an offer to Melina. The 5 on 5 elimination match was announced the day of the show.
Many people were expecting this to be a great show, but it ended up being a regular Raw ...
The Push Vs. The Job: The Inevitability of The De-Push

John Morrison. Gail Kim. Yoshi Tatsu. A.J. Styles. Evan Bourne. Triple H. Mickie James. Shelton Benjamin. Jay Lethal. Jamie Noble. Jack Swagger. Sylvester Turkey and Elijah Burke. Abyss. Monty Brown. Christian. MVP. Petey Williams. Sonjay Dutt. Awesome Kong.
These superstars and wrestlers are just a few of the people that have fallen victim to the infamous "de-push."
Pro wrestling fans know all about the de-push. One moment, your favorite superstar is placed in a high profile feud with a red hot gimmick and instantly becomes the center of attention in the company.
One or two matches later, perhaps even after a pay per view ...
Panic Alert: Chris Jericho Says It’s Win or Go Home At Night of Champions
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
Last night on Monday Night Raw, the IWC got a huge scare during Josh Matthews backstage interview with Chris Jericho.
Jericho said that if he does not win the Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions, then he is walking out. Although that has been said by superstars in the past with it having no real meaning to it whatsoever, this time it may be serious.
Chris Jericho’s contract is expiring and we have yet to hear news about him signing a new deal with the WWE which has wrestling fans like myself worried.
Jericho happens to be a rare breed of wrestler who ...
Karen Angle Marries Jeff Jarrett?!
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
Karen Angle has recently changed her twitter ID to "Karen Jarrett."
The couple must have recently said their “I Dos” this month as they have been engaged since April of this year.
How does this happen? How does Kurt walk by him in the hall? What about the kids Kyrad, 8, and Kody, 4, that Karen and Kurt have together? How does mommy explain now she’s with the man Daddy wrestles against. Are you kidding me?!
Yes there’s a “code” between guys. But there should be a code between professionals, too, and I would think even more so with professional wrestlers. People who have to ...
Tuesdays at TNA: Where Are the Heels?
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
Welcome back to Tuesdays at TNA, where we discuss the hottest topics in Dixieland!
We are less than one week away from No Surrender, which will feature the semifinals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, and I noticed something odd. Yes, I know that everyone remaining in the bracket (Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Mr. Anderson, and The Pope) are known more for their time in WWE than being actual "TNA homegrown" stars, but that they are all FACES!
This has been a longstanding problem in TNA for quite some time, as they still have no concept on how to build up a ...
WWE to Unify All Major Championships within the Next Year?
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
As we all know, the WWE has been around for decades. It has been THE pro-wrestling company in the world, and a force not only in the sports world (despite not being an actual sport) but also the entertainment industry. Because of its popularity, a ton of wrestlers have entered the company. Many of them have been so excellent at their job that the WWE had to separate them into brands. There was still one champion called the "Undisputed Champion." Eventually with such great talent deserving to be World Champions, the WWE eventually had to give a World Title to ...

Ring of Honor Focus: Tyler Black Promises to Bring ROH Gold to the WWE
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
Earlier this month, reports surfaced all over the Internet stating that the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion, Tyler Black, had signed a developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment.
Over the course of August, this news has been turned into one of the most intriguing storylines in ROH.
In a move strangely reminiscent of CM Punk, Black claims that he is going to leave the promotion as the champion and take the title with him to the “greener pastures” of the WWE.
While this move does come off a bit too much like Punk’s actions in 2005, when he won the ROH World ...
Jerichoholics, Prepare Yourself for the Worst
On August - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
This week’s RAW was a really bad one for me. Not because we didn’t get to see Stone Cold, the Rock, Marty Jannetty, or any of the other sacks of meat they could have dug up from the past. In fact from a wrestling standpoint it was a decent episode of RAW.
What really made me cringe in fear this week was the announcement Jericho made during his promo. For those that missed it; Jericho stated that he would quit the WWE if he didn’t win the belt at Night of Champions.
Normally I don’t look too much into wrestling promos, but with no ...
