WWE’s TV PG Era: Is It Really That Bad?

Posted by Gabe Mambo On July - 31 - 2010

Professional Wrestling has seen better days. In the days of my youth, the WWE was going through the Attitude Era, the pinnacle of the Monday Night Wars. Thanks to controversial segments, smashmouth wrestling, and TV-14 at its best, the WWE beat out WCW as the top promotion, eventually buying their rival in 2001. In this day and age, the story is different. TV-14 has turned into PG. Many wrestling fans in the Internet wrestling community call this era the "PG ...

These are the top ten wrestlers in recent WWE history who had the the athletic skills to become stars in the WWE, but were pushed to the back burner. These Superstars deserved much better than what they got during their stints with WWE.Begin Slideshow
Linda McMahon as Senator is something that could benefit Pro-wrestling! I know your probably saying to yourself "Jacob, She one of the reasons why the PG era was ushered in!" On that point, I can't really argue, with but she could help pro-wrestling in every imaginable and unimaginable ways. As Senator she could be the person who finally give pro wrestlers unions. As we know, wrestlers work 200+ days a year and many work with serious and/or lingering injuries that can lead to greater problems later in life. They wrestle because they do not want to lose their spot or because the promoter ...

SPOILER: Undertaker’s Attacker Revealed!

It's Kane. There, happy? What else were you expecting?  Okay, okay, I understand people want to know how I learned Kane was the man who put the Undertaker in a coma. It's elementary my dear readers, WWE creative sucks.  It's a proven fact. Anytime you think something good is going to happen creatively in the WWE, it fails. We begin to think Evan Bourne, Morrison, Kingston, etc. is on the edge of a major push, creative drops the ball. How much do you want to bet when Miz cashes in the Money in the Bank contract on Cena, he becomes ...

The Greatest Wrestler Ever: Ric Flair or Kurt Angle?

Posted by Alec Miller On July - 25 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
No matter what, the one question that wrestling fans can never agree on is. Who is the greatest wrestler of all-time? The first name that pops into my head is "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, a 16 time World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair has made himself into a living legend among pro wrestling fans around the globe. You would think that the answer to this question start and end with "Naitch", well, unless you haven't been watching wrestling for the past decade, it's pretty hard to ignore what the "Wrestling Machine" Kurt Angle has done in the sport. A Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle has ...

WWE Smackdown Review: Let the Mask Hit the Floor

Kane In-Ring Segment : It feels like hell, fire, and brimstone as the pyrotechnics explode with the new World Heavyweight Champion’s entrance. Kane said that as a child, he took a goldfish and held it high above its bowl. He said he watched it wither in pain as it was slowly dying. He stated that’s how he felt the last thirteen years until last Sunday. Kane has not held a world championship since defeating Steve Austin in 1998. It appeared that Kane's career was on its last leg since he was regularly jobbing. I had him in my top three to win it ...

Hard Hitters: Five Best Wrestlers Who Played in the NFL

Posted by Jamal Dincuff On July - 25 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
There have been some football players that have come for a one night stand in a WWE ring like Lawrence Taylor or William “The Refrigerator” Perry. Also, there have been some players who have entered a WCW ring, like Reggie White. However, there have been some people who have been able to do both in their careers. These are the five who I think did the best with their careers in football and in wrestling. Begin Slideshow
Thirteen years ago a force was still unconquered in the world of WWF, force that reigned over the roster. Many tried including Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, Hulk Hogan and HBK, but to no avail. Many souls were lost in the quest of unconquerable. That force was a phenom called The Undertaker. He was a gimmick never seen before, a character sinister and grotesque to the superlative level. He was loved by the universe irrespective of his darker ways. However in 1997, began some promos of a brother of the undertaker. It was alleged that the ...

Seven Former WWE Stars Free To Join TNA or Other Wrestling Promotions

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Dude On July - 25 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
As of today, seven superstars who have been released by WWE are done with their 90-day no-compete clauses. The seven wrestlers are Mickie James, Funaki, Shelton Benjamin, Mike Knox, Katie Lea Burchill, Jimmy Wang Yang and Slam Master J. Some of these performers have a good chance of signing with TNA, while others may need to look for work elsewhere. Mickie James is one of WWE's most popular Divas to ever enter the squared circle. TNA would be remiss to not approach her to join the company. With the downturn, the TNA knockouts division has taken, she could breathe some new life ...

BR’s Battle of the WWE Champs: Round 2

Posted by Matthew Hester On July - 25 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
In the first round of the tournament we had some real solid action. The legend killer Randy Orton has beat a lot of greats, but he was unable to take down Bruno. Jericho and taker had a classic match but the dead man prevailed in the end. Over all the older legends didn’t make it. We did have a few survive though. Backlund, Andre and Savage survived the first round. We had a few complaints in the first round. For starters I completely screwed up and left Rey Mysterio out of the first round. To all of you Mysterio fans I ...
