WWE: Do Returns Ruin All the Current Shows on Television?
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
As we have all seen lately a lot of superstars from the past have returned, some good and some bad. We have embraced a few and wished a few never came back at all. But no matter who they are, are they taking up too much air time? Since I first watched Wrestling I loved the Rock, Austin, Grand Master Sexay and so on. From the first moment the people’s eyebrow was raised, to the stream of stunners and the grooving his way to the ring, I was entertained through and through. They’re called legends for a reason, because people ...

This tournament began with the 22 male NXT rookies in the show's existence. We are now down to the final four participants in this tournament, which has been nothing short of exciting. We have seen long shots last longer than many would have believed. We have watched some who seemed to be fan favorites falter in matchups. We have also seen a few develop major followings and flex their muscles in this competition. In the end, we are down to the semifinals with the finals clearly in sight. We began these quarterfinals with as many men with double-digit seeds as those left ...
Wrestlemania 27: Christian vs Alberto Del Rio, the Best Feud in the WWE
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Fellow writer Ray Samuels posted last night an article titled “Wrestlemania XXVII: Why Christian Has to Be Added to the Main-Event”. Samuels argues that after Christian beat Alberto del Rio in a cage match on last Friday Night SmackDown, the battle for the World Heavyweight Championship at Atlanta should become a triple threat. Until a few weeks ago, I would have disagreed. However, now I like the idea. Nobody would have imagined it when the year started, but right now Christian vs Alberto del Rio is the most exciting feud in the WWE. Think about it. These are two very ...
Total Nonstop Hatred: Why All the Hate on TNA Wrestling?
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Disclaimer: this article contains part humorous and part serious aspects. I am not a WWE or TNA hater and I watch both on a semi-regular basis. After writing a quasi-fantasy pay-per-view for Lockdown, I felt a special urge to write another TNA article.By the way, the Lockdown article can be viewed here.TNA's previous pay-per-view, Victory Road, resulted in significant and justified backlash on TNA after Jeff Hardy, the anointed face of the company, wrestled Sting while under a foreign influence. The Sting-Hardy match only lasted a minute in order to protect both Sting and Hardy. But you already know that.I have coined a ...
TNA News: Hulk Hogan Apologizes for Tsunami Remark
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
According to prowrestling.com, last Monday's Impact taping featured a promo that had some fans upset. Of course, Hulk Hogan was the face of the infamous promo. Hogan said, "Members of the TNA roster want to join [his] tsunami of wrestling," which has been deemed insensitive in light of recent events in Japan. This bad press prompted Hogan to take to his twitter. There he wrote, "The tsunami of wrestling wasn't cool, it will never air, it's already cut out, but when your cuttin promos old school and not following a Script like the other robots will no skills, ...
WWE WrestleMania XXVII: If Cena Wins, Turn Him Heel
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Five out of the last six WrestleManias have ended with John Cena winning or retaining the WWE Championship. It’s safe to say that the WWE Universe would like to see something different. It’s also safe to say that the WWE could take a step in the right direction by having The Miz be victorious over Cena at WrestleMania and become the new official face of the WWE. Having The Miz beat Cena and retain the WWE Championship would be the turning point that WWE needs to get out of the Cena era. If Cena were to win this match, not only ...

WWE Women’s History Month: What a Joke, Just Like the Division
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
For the second time in two years, WWE has given its fans a taste of yesteryear by providing some good old celebration of women in wrestling history. Their first edition of the "celebration," was a good one, as it provided some great photos we had not seen before with the Women's Championship belt, and allowed new and old fans alike, to cherish what some women wrestlers have given to the business. From The Fabulous Moolah to Trish Stratus, WWE.com gave us a compilation of different things, current Divas commented on who their role model was, or who they saw themselves to ...
WWE: ‘True Story of Wrestlemania’ DVD Leaves Urban Legends and Stories UNEXPOSED
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Last week the WWE released its newest documentary release entitled the "True Story of Wrestlemania." Initially, I was excited to purchase this three-disc DVD set since hearing about the project and, much to my dismay, it was a grave disappointment. If you have followed Wrestlemania for the last few years, or since its inception in 1985 like I have and many in the 1980s, you will be greatly dissatisfied with the overall presentation (especially if you shelled out twenty bucks like I did). For instance, each Wrestlemania was reduced to minutes with little or no depth. It was two hours ...
Let’s Try This Again: The IWC’s All-Time Dream Pay-Per-View Card
On March - 20 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
A while back, I tried this right after the article you can see below. And usually when something fails, I won't try it again. However, since WrestleMania season is in full-throttle and dream matches are being discussed, I thought this would be the perfect time to revive this idea. I thought it was just a case of overkill at the time.
The article I was referring too was this. The result was the IWC's dream pay-per-view card, as you can see here.
The difference between now and then is, in this card, you can include guys from the past and the present.
Here ...
