WWE Backlash 2016 is the first show-specific pay-per-view of the New Era, and with that comes some challenges.
First, the split roster has resulted in fewer matches than a typical WWE pay-per-view. With only six bouts on the card, Backlash may look more like Raw, with backstage segments and longer montages during the broadcast. This could drag down the quality of the event, especially if Superstars aren't given extended time in the ring.
