Next Friday, Friday Night SmackDown will be celebrating its 600th episode with a two-hour special featuring both Superstars from RAW and SmackDown.
On April 29, 1999, SmackDown debuted not as a weekly series, but instead a two-hour special on the now-defunct United Paramount Network (UPN). The Friday Night SmackDown as we have grown to love debuted as a weekly series on August 26, 1999. Back then, all WWF Superstars such as "Stone" Cold Steve Austin and The Rock would appear on both RAW and SmackDown.
But back in 2002, each show (RAW and SmackDown) would have their own roster of Superstars, Divas, and other employees in order to accommodate the former WCW employees who joined the WWE after WCW folded the year before...
